The Astera Sathorn is located at the connection between the modern the old, more historic part of Bangkok. Its position between Sathorn Road, the business area and Charoen Krung Road, the popular walking tour street. As well it is in very easy access to the airport expressway and Skytrain (BTS) Station.
From the property, it takes about five minutes to walk to the closest shopping mall as well as only three minutes to walk to Charoen Krung Road. There one can enjoy glimpses into the 'real' day-to-day Bangkok, far away from the high end glittery department stores and modern office buildings along Bangkok's main roads. The very easy and convenient access to the the skytrain (BTS) station allows a very comfortable commute to the city's sightseeings and main shopping areas.

酒店比清迈的好，价格倒是相差不大的，但是唯一的不足之处是，放在桌上的化妆品被拿掉了一个小香粉饼，有攻略说要把东西锁起来，room service的时候可能会翻你的东西，但是我们想用过的化妆品应该不会有人要，因为在清迈的酒店放桌上一点事都没有，如果没有这个事件的话会是一次很愉快的经历。

Vi blev så himla besvikna. På bilderna är rummen snygga och nyrustade. Vilken blåsning!! Skabbigt med lössittande vattemkranar. Den eldröda helteckningsmattan luktade unket som gjorde att de blev en unken fruktansvärd lukt i hela rummet. Lortig soffa med fullt av gamla fläckar som syndes ännu mera pga den ljusa färgen. Poolen var iskall så ingen kunde bada. TA INTE IN PÅ DETTA HOTELL!!!!

We have stayed here before and were looking for somewhere different, however I m glad that we went back to the Astera, they remembered us when we arrived, the hotel is continually improving with modern refurbished rooms, free snacks/drinks and the best value in the Silom-Sathorn area. 50m to the river and the skytrain at Saphan Taksin, what more could you want? That's right! WI-FI in the room! well, they had that too, it was just a little slow (512kbps), good enough to check emails, make bookings etc. I will be staying there again. AAA+++

A small hotel with nice facilities. Walking distance from the river central pier and BTS stations. We had Royal Suite (2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a living room). The bedrooms were very small. When we arrived, the carpet in the living room was dirty and with broken glass debris. Vacuum cleaning (when requested) not helped a lot. Otherwise the staff worked well, trying to help immediately. Water pressure in the showers was really low.

very good options if wanting, needing to be near the river with access to river taxi and skytrain within minutes. some food options in the area, vendors, a robinsons with tops market and couple food courts. the room was comfy, free wifi in room and poolside. didn't use the restaurant, so can't comment, or have brekkie, not a big morning eater, so went with room only deal. pool was very refreshing, as temps were damn hot this year, though the road / city noise does resonate to the pool area, though didn't bother me, but noticeable. i m sure i will be returning, off season as usual for me, as the other place i used to stay has steadily gone down hill. building has parking for those that self drive as myself, and very secure, need access card to enter elevator area, room safe, non smoking rooms. gym and sauna if you desire, i m way too lazy. a pleasant stay.

Отель неочень чистый. Стеклянные двери во всем отеле грязные. Давно не было ремонта. В номере, в который нас поселили, отвалились обои в углу. Сантехника в нормальном состоянии, сам номер чистый. Бассейн чистый, купаться можно. Завтрак так себе. Не стоит потраченных на него денег. Расположение отеля хорошее, рядом станция скайтрейна, центральный пирс, супермаркет Робинзон.

Excellent location near metro station overhead Sapsan Taksin, wharf and the road from the airport takes about 40 minutes, taking into account probok.Voditeli taxis do not know how to get to the hotel, even with the help of maps, helps call the hotel. Very Good hotel. It was my first trip to Bangkok, Thailand. And I really enjoyed my stay. The best thing was that Astera Satorn was just next to the BTS (sky train) Station and the River. Going to any place was very easy all we had to do was walk to the BTS station. Rooms, service, Hotel staff all was excellent. Highly recommended for families or couples on their honey moon trip.

nice option for accomodations, close to walking distance to skytrain, and some local food, though food limited, except for some high end hotel/restaurants. had room only, so can't comment of astera's restaurant. comfy room/bed, pool was fine, not large, but as always, nobody seems to use, if with kids, pay attention, it goes from shallow to deep very fast and easy for a little one to lose footing and get in deep sh*t. will probably return, as my past choice is getting tired. i self drive, and was a little tricky to find, but no major problem. if you self drive, easy access to expressway.

Big rooms. Actually it was 2. And a bathroom. One room with big frigde and kitchen sink. 2 free coffe and 2 bottles of water every day. Bathroom terrible: Watersupply very unstable. Room clean and ok. Internet 2 mb WiFi, very expensive: 500 bath/day. Bad and boring breakfast. Staff ok. Will not stay again.

The location of the hotel could not be faulted, just 200 metres from the overhead rail system. The hotel was a little bit tired looking, however cleanliness could not be faulted. You would not write home about the quality of food , or selection, available in the restaurant. Current European rates of exchange probably not justifying this hotel as value for money.The hotel clientel looked to be mainly eastern asian, putting a little bit of a barrier on the language front, all in all I would guess the rating would be 3 out of 5.

The location is good, if you are in Bangkok for sight seeing; close to Taksin BTS and River Boot Taxi, but there is nothing else in the surrounding. For having a nice dinner or for night life entertainment you need to go by Skytrain or taxi. The room was spacious and clean, but old. The service is friendly and good. The breakfast is very poor.

The rooms are very nice and well equipped (we stayed in a deluxe room), staff is very friendly. Highway and Skytrain run in immediate vicinity but good windows keep out most of the noise. The Skytrain station and the central pier are just a few minutes walk away. So although not in a great neighbourhood it's a good and affordable base for exploring Bangkok.

We ve stayed here before. It's good if you re just staying a few days, as it's literally next to the Taksin Bridge Sky Train station and a pier on the Chao Prao river. Sathorn is a great area, but just there it's a bit slummy. Wouldn't stay there again and would recommend CK House Thai Bali Suite. It's nicely decorated and the rooms are big while situated just next to a Sky Train station as well and the rooms are about the same.

Few minute walking distance to river pier from where you can go to many tourist place very easily.. only problem for us was about the indian food for which we had to travel to sukhomit road( quite far) from the hotel. otherwise hotel is good and secure.. friendly reception and good for staying with family and kids...

Hotel standart 3***, quite clean, breakfast very standart.. but - ideal for travallers, who want to spend much time outside: 3 min. walk to sky-train (using skytrain 10 min. to the center-siam mall), 4 min. to the river pier (using the boat 10 min. to grand palace), 10 min. to walk to Si-lom... super location!!! Small problem: some taxi-men are problem to find the hotel. Very kind ladys at the reception! Perfect price - double for round 30 Euro..

EXCELLENT VALUE FOR MONEY. LARGE RECEPTION ROOM, SEPERATE KING SIZE BEDROOM, 2 BATHROOMS & FREE BREAKFAST. VERY HELPFUL STAFF & INTERNET CONNECTION IN THE LOBBY. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Accommodation and facilities:
Very good location, 5 minute walk from the SkyTrain, about the same distance to Robinson and McD, KFC and the Pizza Company (in case you wanted a meal without suprises). Had fridge, AC, clean place. The shower was placed a bit low for me, but being a farang that was probably my fault.

Worked flawless. The hotel changed it's name between booking and arrival, but there was no problem at the check in.

The hotel is clean and staff are nice and polite, but the breakfast provided is too little for an adult, if for children, it is fine.

The room is small but clean. Breakfast was disappointing. I ordered same breakfast as other hotel guest but found the food preparation different. Double standard. The other matter was I stayed 2 nights instead of 3 originally booked but could not get any refund even though did not stay the last night. One more thing, I purposely took a hand towel back and upon checking out, they claimed it was a face towel and had to pay for face towel price. Not very honest in house keeping and mgmt doesn't help you solve the problem.
