I have the same comments as a lot of others who stay at Manhattan. They should address the qulaity of the breakfast served and address the airconditioning problems,airconditioner in our room could not be adjusted in any way. 2nd stay and would stay again. There are things they should work on, but all in all a pleasant stay. Housekeeping respnded promptly when called. It seems they are working on making things better. Helpful and friendly staff. Room clean and comfortable.

Rooms usual decent standard, check in easy as staff all fluent in English. Negative: Air con on lowest setting making it a tad too warm for me especially in the dining room which gets hot due to the kitchen.

This was our second stay at the Manhattan. The rooms are spacious, the beds extremely comfy, the staff are very polite and breakfast was varied and plenty. However, the main reason we chose this hotel again was the location. It's no more than a 3 min walk to the Skytrain Station Asoke or the Underground station Sukhumvit. This makes getting around in Bangkok very easy, especially when the traffic is bad. It's also quite near the expressway to Suvarnabhumi airport (40 mins by taxi).

Good clean hotel with a decent room which was large and I think relatively recently refurbished. Staff helpful and generally friendly. Note from other cotributors that they were ripped off by using hotel staff to to obtain transport to airport. Do it yourself by flagging a taxi and insist on the meter being switched on. If the driver tries to impose a fixed price (usually 400 bt min up to 600 bt toll charge))simply refuse and try another. You will find one without too much trouble and the cost will probably max at around 230 bt inc tolls. If complainers can't or won't do this, they shouldn't be out on their own.

This hotel become older,but still good.Closer from Asoke skytrain station,it's a great advantage,believe me !! Reasonable price,good breakfast,a lovely pool. The room was clean and adequate.Breakfast was also ok dispite the bad reviews Id read. The staff were very respectful. The only complaint would be about the bar. Apart from not being so bar-like, I seemed to have caught them off guard when I asked for a drink. Seemed like I was the only customer for some while.

Have stayed at this hotel twice before and for the price and convenience of location in Suk, I think it is a very good option. The remodelled rooms are very nice for an older hotel, I would change rooms if you get assigned to an original room (I think they are re-doing all the rooms), the 24Hr restaurant and the included breakfast buffet are also good. Friendly staff! Tip: if you need a taxi, make sure the doorman calls a meter cab.

Friendly and helpful receptionists. I had only breakfast and food were good. Not a rich menu but some for everybody (Chinese, Japanese and western style). Location is very good for both shopping and knight spots. Hotel were guest friendly (1 or 2 guests no problem). Facilities and towels a bit old but working properly though towels already completed their economic usage period.

The hotel was very nice for what you paid for. Location was excellent (away from the main road and noise) and was close enough to the skytrain and restaraunts etc. The staff where friendly and curteous. I cannot fault the place really and personally I would stay there again BUT it IS a you get what you pay for hotel. Although its a bit dated.....who cares as your not in your hotel that much anyway. The pool area was nice and clean and a reson why I stayed here.

I already stayed 4 times in this hotel. This time I had some small bugs in the bathroom, and the biggest problem aircon only very cold, or turned off, temperature not adjustable ! ( At least the controlpanel does not work ). Anything else as usual. The rooms are quite large, have a large savetybox, but would look much nicer if they would take out these dark-red carpets. The mattress in my kingsize looked new and was confortable. The bathrooms could get a renovation. ABF is nothing special, toasts fried egs, some fruits, and some asian hot food. Some fresh bread/rolls an cheese would upgrade it for Europeans. 1700 THB for a sup. dbl. was the rate. **-*** my rating compared with the majestic grande ( where I stayed some days bevore 2800 THB ****+ ) and Westin 4900 THB ***** But the location is very good, ( just around the corner Sukhumvit Soi 15, less than 10 minutes walk from Nana Plaza and less than 5 min. from BTS skytrain

Our 2 deluxe rooms were upgraded to one two- bed room executive suite. It was huge with lounge dining and two bathrooms. The decor was a little tired/soul less and there was an odour from smokers in the room and corridors, otherwise clean and comfortable. Friendly staff, good breakfast buffet, 2pm checkout free of charge then free baggage storage and use of the pool/towel and showers til our airport transfer at 6pm.

The location of the hotel is great, the shopping market just around the corner. The sky train and the subway also about two blocked away, it's great. The front desk was ok, the staffs can speak and understand enough english to help. The room stank, there was no exhuast fan in the bathroom, the bathroom door was 1 quart shorted, WHY? The bath tub tiles was molding and disgusting. There were no shampoo, conditioner and bath liquid supplied. The air condition had no tempreture control, it was diffidult. The breakfast was ok, however if you arrive after nine, you will not have much choices for breakfast. It is because they close the breakfast at 10:00am, and they didn't refill whatever is finihed. That was really bad. I think this is the last time I will stay in this hotel.

Like what the others said, it is a old hotel. The light inside the room is limited especially toilet.Room is big. And the construction side just 100m from the hotel make not a loud noise but you will still awake when u heard it even on midnight. Breakfast ok. The rate is for the hotel like this.

Good service. Is my forth time using it.

Room ok, had just been decorated, 4th level.Asked for double bed but got twin beds. The only real gripe i had is with the leisure facilities. It states that on the second floor there is a gym, sauna, steam room, in fact there is no sauna, steam room and according to a a lady that works there this has been the case for the last 2 years. The gym is a joke, bike and running machine not working and basically not weight lifting machines at all. location of hotel is good. Will stay somewhere else next time though.

Manhattan Hotel
Accommodation and facilities:
Nice hotel with a strategic location in Sukhumvit area. Quite clean and nice service. The breakfast was excellent and has a various items. Unfortunately, the room view was awful, we had a room with a building constructing view, so we had never opened our curtain, and the water in the swimming pool is salty. Over all, it's worth to the price :)

I was in this hotel just for one night. The room was disguting, walls and carpets were dirty. The room was really depressing ! I asked another room. It was simply correct. There is much better in bankok for the same price.

The booking service is very efficience. I am nevertheless disappointed that I proposed on this hotel, that I had chosen was no longer available.
