Good location, nice pool, and the ramabuttri street must be one of the best in bkk.The staff is tired and uninterested in giving service and help, but if you just stay one or two nights, this isnt a problem. The rooms are clean and ok.

the worst hotel ever!!! Not the hotel by it self but the staf was terrible. we had a late arrival but the rooms were still not availibul at 20,30 IN THE EVENING!!!!!! The staf in the reception did not smile for a second. Not tu us and not to any of the other guest eather. The cleaning staf was very nice but the others rude and very much unlike what we are use to after maybe 50 hotel-stays in Thailand. We have only meet great, nice and helpful people working at all hotels EXEPT THIS DISCUSTING STAF AT RAMBUTTRI VILLAGE INN.Hope You all understand my bad english so You got my message - DON´T BOOK THIS HOTELL!!!!

Even if booked 2 month in advance, the room we got had an Ac very noisy and the location was not as Superior. We asked for a change and finally we got a better room. I have stayed here for about 6 times now. Before in a twin and triple room, this time I had booked a double room. We stayed here twice this holiday, both double rooms were absolutely worse than the other rooms I had stayed in before! Both rooms were small and the sheets had cigarette burning holes in them. The first room had extremely hard beds, the first night I could not sleep because the mattress simply hurt my body. I friendly asked for another room, willing to pay more, but they were full , which I doubt. But then again, service there has never been great I think. Reception staff work very hard. Location is great, very close to Khao San road yet the rooms are very quiet. Soi Rambuttri is a nice road with lots of restaurants. Next time I will probably stay here again but not in a double room.

we arrived on a late flight and the xtra bed had not been put in the room;even if I mentioned in the booking that we would arrive late and we paid for the xtra bed;We wasted 20 mmn at the counter at 01 am! then when we got to the rooms; one of them had not been cleaned. The location is great, right in the area of Koh Shan road but not directly on it. The room we stayed was at the back, so it was quiet and clean. The rooftop pool is small but nicely maintained. It's a very popular hotel so there are many guests. The check-in (around 5pm) took us a long time since the reception is doing their shift changing (very odd hours since it is one of the busiest hour for customers to arrive) so there are only 1 staff left for receiving the guests. But overall, a good choice for Koh Shan area.

Very good location, good security. The ladies at the reception always look very tired and overworked, not so friendly. Sometimes they don't accept internetbookings. Always long rows in front of the reception. You have to pay EVERY DAY and stand in the row. They sure take advantage of their very good location.

The aspect from outside the hotel is nice but the rooms are awful. The smell of the toilet was disgusting and it was too noisy. The air conditioner was not working properly all the time. The location is ok if you want to stay near Kaosan Road, but I do not recommend it, at all.

the hotel located in a good location easy for finding food and tour packages, but difficult for transportation because far from BTS or MRT, the only transportation available are taxi or bus, near the grand palace and the center of demonstration (there were a huge demonstration when i was there) so several times when we went from the hotel to MBK or went back to hotel we trap in a horrible traffic jam because of the demonstration, we trap almost 2 hours. but the demonstration were ok no violence. if there are no demonstration this hotel is a very good place to stay...

Surprisingly quiet for such an active location. Had a room next to the stairs and occasional noise as people came back late at night. Just an overnight stay in Bangkok. I would stay there again.

We actually enjoyed our stay at Rambuttri, the ambiance is good. It's nice to be around the Europeans. The room service should be improved, our room was not cleaned, and the tissue, soap, shampoo and towels were not replaced on our 2nd day.

The hotel was close to Kohsanroad, the toproof pool was nice but the room needed a renovation. We paid for the taxi ride to the airport at the hotel and they should have infromerat that we might have had to add tolls to the taxidriver.

We arrived in the late hours of the day directly from the airport. Staff was unhelpful and demanded a THB 1000 security fee before we could even put our bags into our room even though the room had been paid in full via credit card. They would not accept USD the credit card any other currency and made me walk to a 20 min away hotel to change money at 22:00.\r\nSecondly I had booked a twin and was given a double.\r\nThirdly the room was under the hotel water heater and we were not able to sleep once it was turned on at 6:30 am. No compensation was offered when we complained. Not impressed, will not book again.

Basic hotel without much extras. This time we stayed in deluxe rooms on 5:th floor. The roofpool on that building was closed so we had to use the other. You have to ask specific if you want the room cleaned. Though I think it is good located, considerable quiet and good value for money.

this was the second time during our holidays,that me and my friends stayed at Rambuttri Village. It will be the last time that i was here.This hotel has his advantages,like cheap,clean rooms,in the center of the Kaosarn and Soi Rambuttri,a lot of facilities like the rooftop pool but also a lot of problems : the staff is not friendly(major point!), to much traffic for check-in and check-out,to noisy,the rooms cannot be really darked,the aircondition is to loud, the rooms will just be cleaned if you really ask and the taxi-service is too expensive There are surely better hotels in this area for the same price!

A good place for backpackers soi rambuttri is for my taste better than kaosan,so you re right here very busy, constantly check-in and check-out the staff isn't friendly and very slow 1000 Baht deposit for the room(refund when you checkout) to noisy and the rooms can't be really darked(that means that from 6:00 am it is day inside your room you need to ask to clean your room,only giving the key at the reception is not enough avoid the the taxi service! 450 baht to the airport is 150 baht to much! just go 50 m to the rambuttri and get a taxi there good for a short stay,but i think i won't come back

In all my travels i have never seen such bad service. We booked that room far in advance. When we got there the room was not ready and we had to wait about an hour for it. That day we when out and when we returned to the hotel, the room was not cleaned. It was at 8 30 pm. I complained about it and they were not good to us at all. Making exucess. Finally we checked out and lost the cost for the remaining 2 days. like i said, it was a very poor hotel and we will never go there again and also i will go out of my way to let people know to stay away from it. One more thing is that it was very dirty.

Hotel very basic not Delux Superior, clean with towels but no soap. We had to ask for toilet paper as none was left one day. Swimming pool very small - not big enough for the size of the hotel. Staff on the front desk were very pleasant and helpful, if you smiled and were pleasant to them they were the same back.

The staff and i mean ALL the staff are unfriendly, indifferent and unhelpful. I know its not a luxury resort but the cleaning ladies would make excessive shouting within the halls at 8 AM IN THE MORNING!!!!!! We didnt ask for anything except to use the pool shower after check out, when we asked for a towel they gave us a rag. Seriously and we stayed at the highest room. They even had the nerve to ask for a 100 bht deposit. When we told them about the noise they said come back tomorrow!!! I seriously think there are better accomodation for this price, in fact you would get better service at the Bangkok Hilton, and I dont mean the hotel!!!!

The place is nice and quiet inside what is nice connecting with crouded and alive situation outside. Nearly located with famous Kaosan Rd where are music, people, shopping kiosks, nice people, life kitchen and nice small local cafe's around. It is great cheap rest and clean rooms.

Para que meus conterraneos não cometam o mesmo erro que eu, escreverei em portugues tambem o que escrevi em ingles. Se não publicar esta mensagem no forum, perderei a credibilidade do site que até o presente momento tinha em altissimo conceito. Este hotel Rambuttri Village Inn, sem exagero, foi o pior hotel que fiquei em toda minha vida. Péssimo serviço. Pessoal mal treinado. O ralo do banheiro estava entupido no primeiro banho ficamos com nojo, pois a água suja começou a voltar e tivemos que lavar os pés no chuveirinho do bidê. Além do mais as recepcionistas deveriam ser chamadas de carcereiras, pois é assim que se prostram. Não tem postura ou educação. Não falo ingles fluentemente, mas seja em qualquer idioma, não se responde um cliente com um sonoro HÃANnn!! combinada com uma careta. Pensei que fosse apenas esta atendente, mas infelizmente fiquei 2 dias neste hotel e todas as 4 atendentes as quais tive que me dirigir foram extremamente mal educadas.
