the room is not as big as we expected. both the jacuzzi and indoor swimming pool are a bit old. the room seems to have more than 20 years of history. shower is not enjoyable as the provision of hot water is not stable at all. good thing is the staffs there are with excellent service and can speak good english.

Love this resort can't even think about staying anywhere else at these prices, Love the jacuzzi and I love that it's a little out of town, Only thing is I really could have used a coffee machine in the room..... SO comfortable in the bed I wanted to stay forever and I have sciatica!!! Lovely staff great room service food delicious as always

This is my 5th or 6th time to stay at the Siam Society and have once again found it to be excellent. I actually found this time that the taxis did not have such a problem finding it. The service was great, the internet was down for part of the time and the manager took me to a cafe so that i could complete a booking at his expense, you could not ask for more. I appreciated that very much. I would recommend this hotel to everyone who is looking for an extremely good value and friendly stay.

This is a very nice hotel--great value for the price. The room was great. The only issue was the mosquitos coming out of the very nice water garden. You really have to insist that taxi drivers use the express way to get in and out of the city.

The ONLY negative thing about this hotel is that taxi drivers can hardly find it,... besides that: It's one of the best hotels of Bangkok, cheap, very clean, incredibly friendly the entire staff, nice swimming pool, exotic plants, excellent and various breakfast. About 35-45 min. to the Suvarnabhumi Airport. Immediate taxi service upon request to the front desk.

I have always enjoyed staying at the Siam Society Hotel and Resort. It is my 5th time there and yes it can take a little bit to get there by taxi as they can get lost, but it is a quiet location, only 20 to 30 mins from town and a 170 to 200 baht taxi ride or you can go to the nearest skytrain terminal to beat the traffic so not much convenience is lost. The Hotel itself has very friendly staff, it is clean, the rooms are spacious and it is inexpensive. maybe a little dark inside the rooms. The SiameServices booking was the best I have done and will use SiameServices again as I could make choices on room types which other websites I could not. I love the hotel, and it will always be my choice when I come to Bangkok. Thank you.

Great. We really enjoyed our stay, and we recommend Siam Society to everyone. The only down side was the location was a little out of the way, but we reallly liked being away from the hustle of Bangkok, and the mosquitoes agreed that thwe place is great. So we give the place a solid A, and would have given it an A+, but the little bloodsuckers werea little pesty.

The room was nice and clean I loved the Tuk Tuk bed...Bathroom area was lovely Jacuuzi I highly recommend bigger than average... Breakfast was ok toast coffee sausage etc. Room service food was gorgeous, Staff excellent I Highly recommend this hotel to anyone and I am fussy.

I stayed at Siam Society Hotel and Resort on two separate occasions in September and October of 2008. I booked the Jr. VIP Suite on the first stay and the Boat room on the second. The staff is warm and friendly, the rooms are well kept and each room is unique to it's own. Simply stated, the next time I visit Bangkok, I will look no further than Siam Society Hotel and Resort! It should be stated though, that this hotel is located in the Bang Kapi district and is a bit of a way out from the airports and major nightlife attractions. If you are looking to get away from it all and still be in the city, than this small hotel is for you. Rates during the low season are quite reasonable.

Alright. The area around is quite good, safe and calm with a few restaurants. It is, however, far away from the city centre and taxi drivers do not know where the hotel is located, not even with a map given to them. Lobby and pool excellent, as well as the people working there. Deluxe rooms are located a bit off and away from the main building though, and they do not have any daylight in them. Decent breakfast. All in all, a good hotel if you like staying at the hotel and the area around, but if you go to Bangkok to experience the city itself it might not be the best choice.

Siam Society was a welcome refuge in Bangkok. The staff and rooms were delightful. There is a beautiful pool that my daughters didn't want to get out of. Our overall experience was wonderful (in fact we changed our reservations to go back to siam society on our way out of the country.) My only comment is that it is difficult for Taxi drivers to find the hotel--even if they know the address. Best advice is to get the hotel's phone number and give it to the cab driver. He can call them and they'll help him get there.

On arrival the staff were friendly and helpful. This standard of service continued throughout our stay and set a high standard.The room was immaculate and the varied breakfast good. Considering the cost of this hotel, this place should be considered as a five start hotel. Extremely cheap, yet very luxurious, nicely decorated and enough privacy. We loved our stay here and plan to come back in the future. Breakfast was ok, but this hotel seems to be very very very hard to find for any taxi driver. I was very happy that my love (Chutarat) could explain them the right way.

Staying here for my own convienence,Not the First Time staying here,I Never need to go to Town. Location is way out off Town,if you want to do shopping,Be prepared to take only Taxi all the time.Surrounding vacinity not many Restaurant only a couple.If No traffic it's Ok to get to Highway pay Toll charges and straight to Ekamai,Asoke,ThongLor,Sukhumvit within 15 mins.during Off Peak hrs.Hotels is Ok,nice,clean,Quiet and comfortable Place,Don't X pect much from Breakfast,nothing to shout about,If you are on early Flight or have to depart Hotel early hours, Breakie starts only at 7.30am.every morning.

This is our second time staying this hotel. It is so lovely staff,friendly and smiling as usual. They remember us and had our room fixed cold from aircondion when we arrived. We stay in siam suite. Very very lovely. If you want to go any trips. Just ask the manager to call Tady. I cant describe how good Tady is. We meet this driver last year when we stayed in Siam society 17 days. He took us everywhere and show us Bangkok. A very friendly guy with a warm personality. You will not be disappointed! We will always come back at this hotel. Big room, swimmingpool inside our room(private) and jaccuzi and steamshower... We come back the 28 of July. Looking forward to go back!! Thank you staff for 2 wonderful days this time. See you soon!

A very nice hotell but terrible hard for taxidrivers to find..From the busstation in Bk we had to go round in a taxi for two hours .. not so nice after four hour in a bus from Chantabuiri.. It should have been a telephonenumber in the reservationspapers.. We think it could be a good idea to teach the personals in English.. And you have to tell customers that WI-FI is not possible to use in the rooms (451 and 102)

What a lovely hotel/motel/boutique hotel. the ambience os quite pleasant, internet usage is free of charge and the staff quite friendly - though asking for direction sto the airport will be met with bovine-like stares of incomprehension, followed by several different directions, namely north, south, east and west. The manager is quite fluent in English and very helpful. The hotel is in an area not usually frequented by those having business in the city, so i am not sure what the clientelle would comprise of. we will certainly stay there again as an overnight for the airport.

No-one at the hotel spoke adequate English, so when there was a problem the manager had to be called by phone. This didn't really work. There was nothing for a vegetarian to eat, and - without speaking Thai - no way to explain. In general, I was not impressed.

The room was very nice, with a jacuzzi inside, but that was all! The hotel was so, so far away from everything that you spend a lot of time and money going anywere. Even the taxi drivers did not know where the hotel was!The staff was kind but they did not speak english so it was very dificult to understand each other. And also the hotel had no swiming pool. The hotel was excellent and I have never had such wonderful service at any hotel before. I have been to many different countries and stayed at several hotels from 3 star to 5 star and by far the friendliness and service was the best and the accomodations were very nice as well. The only downside to the hotel was there was no swimming pool or sauna as most hotels in Bangkok had at least those 2 things but according to management that was going to be built by 2008 and were going to add other things onto the hotel as well. I will definately stay here again and i m looking foward to the completed hotel upgrades.

Hotel was one of the cleanest I ve stayed in Thailand. Very modern but with a thai flavor. They really took the time to decorate the interior. Although I dislike the thought of not having a pool or spa/work-out room. Also the location is not within walking distance from anything besides the typical sidewalk food stands. I would stay again if I just needed a place to sleep and leave the following morning but would think twice if I were to stay for a longer period.
