Останавливались на одну ночь. Брали трипл на четверых (двое взрослых и двое детей). Сам отель неплох, внушительное лобби, услужливый персонал, все четко (хотя берут 500 бат залога за ключ). Номер у нас был довольно пошарпанный и старенький, хотя большой, все работало, постели мягкие. Окошко небольшое, выходит на задний двор с бассейном. Бассейнов два - детский и взрослый. Взрослый большой, на одном конце очень глубокий, но когда мы жили, его как раз закрыли на профилактику, так что не покупались. Завтрак в ресторане отличный. Европейцев в отеле много. Участок улицы Рамбуттри в этом месте - более суетливый и шумный, чем в районе отеля Рамбуттри Вилладж, больше похож на Каосан роуд. Отель можно рекомендовать для любителей Каосана :), желающих немного больше комфорта, чем в гесте. Но суперкомфорта и роскоши не ждите.

Stayed there for the 3rd time. The hotel is as good as it was last time, but unfortunately the quiet road in front has changed into a noisy place where various live music bands are competing until 1.00 morning. We had a room to the street and were only able to sleep from 1 onwards

Good value for money for a short stay in Bangkok. location is excellent - right in the middle of the back packers sector - easy reach to the river and the main tourist spots.The Room/bathroom is well equipped. Some of the furnishings in the hallways are a bit tired.View and pool are not great - but that's not what you d expect from this hotel.

Stayed there for two nights . The hotel is a nice one convinently located in Khaosan area easily go around from there to and along the river sides. Reception and staff were gernerally friendly and helpful. Breakfasts(included) were better than expected and actually were surprisingly good, and the pool is definitely a plus. Short sides, rooms facing street could be noisy and some rooms particularly the bath were quite worn out with stains and smell need to be innovated indeed.

Only stayed here one night as it was recommended by a friend. There were 3 of us and we had a standard twin room. Nice big room however had a bit of a musty smell - was bearable. Mould all over shower curtain and there was no security box in the room - however it was alot nicer to stay in than some of the other places we stayed. The location was great and only a 3 minute walk to Koh San Road. Staff were friendly and let us leave our baggage in a room on checkout day so we could go do things until we went to the airport at 6pm that night.

Location is ideal, close to shopping area, many outdoor restaurants, close to various points of interest etc, The hotel is clean, staff friendly, helpful and English-speaking. If you use the Internet a lot, find another hotel, the prices are just ridiculous! however, there are more reasonable internet facilities nearby. To a Westerner, the breakfast is adequate, but not great. The hotel is somewhat overpriced, the de luxe rooms on the small side.

Выбор отеля был продиктован необходимостью успеть за один день посетить все известные храмы столицы - Ват Пракео, Ват По, Ват Арун, поэтому Viengtai, расположенный в шаговой доступности от основных достопримечательностей, и к тому же расположенный недалеко от знаменитой Каосан Роуд, подходил нам как нельзя кстати. Забронировали его заблаговременно и правильно сделали - когда захотели сменить номер из-за неполадки раковины, оказалось, что вблизи нет свободных номеров на троих такой площади (50 кв.м). Впрочем, идя навстречу пожеланиям отдыхающих, управляющий лично проследил за устранением неполадки и долго извинялся за эту досадную оплошность, которую устраняли аж 10 минут. Настоятельно рекомендую этот отель любителям бассейнов - в Винтае он трехуровневый, т.е. большой и глубокий. Кроме того, есть бассейн и для малышей, и чудесный садик во внутреннем дворике, а главное, бесподобная кухня, в достоинстве которой можно было убедиться за завтраком, а потом заказать в номер наиболее удавшееся блюдо. Судя по тому, что в этот отель приходили позавтракать и отобедать иудеи из соседнего отеля, кухня того стоила. Отель расположен на улице Рамбутри, которая по степени насыщенности сувенирными лавками, харчевнями, салонами и т.д. ничем не уступает Каосан, а на наш взгляд и превосходит ее - нет толкучки, как на барахолке, т.е. весело и в то же время уютно, отличный курс в обменниках, ассортимент всего необходимого туристу - от ювелирки и фруктов до турагентств и пабов. Pleasantly surprised after some of the more disappointing reviews I read. Had a quiet room away from the road (as requested) clean, comfortable. It's a functional hotel - fine for a short stay - we didn't experience the pool. Breakfast was good, staff were very helpful and friendly. Only stayed one night - New Years Eve - so we were perfectly located for the atmosphere of the Khao San Road. Would stay there agin - good value for money.

This hotel was fantastic for the price it was-the position is perfect being right near markets and lots of clubs and bars. A lot of tourists stay on Koh San Rd, but this was much better because the hotel itself is nicer and it\'s much quieter when you want to get to sleep! Also the staff were very helpful and tourist information is available inside the reception area.\r\nRooms are clean but fairly basic.

loved everything about it. Our 2nd visit, this time returning with an extra family couple. It is a very friendly hotel and has a lot going for it. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Nice restaurants and very friendly, convenient coffee bar which we used each night on our return. Within walking distance of the river and was very easy to use the river bus. Also very close to big temples, Reclining buddha etc. Excellent tours office right in the hotel. They were very helpful and we enjoyed the trip to the floating market. A very busy hotel and ideal for youngsters and families fgoing on treks. Lots of choices for treks all around. Very close to Khao San Road with the colourful markets.Eating places abound in the near-by streets, which are full of atmosphere. An ideal hotel to stay in for all ages (we are seniors) and really excellent for the money. We felt we had a real bargain find.

Wir waren im Rahmen unserer Thailand-Tour für zwei Nächte im Viengtai-Hotel. Das Haus befindet sich mitten im Leben in einer Parallel-Strasse zur Khao San Road. Daher ist es nachts nicht so ganz ruhig, aber nicht weiter störend; ein Zimmer zur Rückseite wäre da vielleicht noch besser. Die Zimmer sind sauber mit einem schönen Bad. Es gibt einen schönen Pool im Innenhof für Gäste des Hotels. Alles in Allem eine gute Adresse für alle die mal die Khao San Road erleben, aber nicht in einem ganz einfachen Backpacker-Guesthouse absteigen wollen. Kleiner Tipp am Rande: steigt mal über die Aussentreppe (beim Zugang zum Pool) aufs Dach hoch.. schöne Aussicht über BKK!

Clean hotel, nice breakfast and attention. Very polite staff. They allowed us to make an early check in and then they kept our luggage after the check out, giving us more time to explore Bangkok without carry all our things. we were a group of friends and it was our first time at Bangkok. we agreed that the location helped us in terms of transportation and time because is near the principal temples and historical places. Also it is very crowded area ideal to have drinks during the night and at the same time is easy to go to more chic discos or restaurants at the city center. It is easy as well to make cheap shopping around and to find the typical steet food everywhere.

I booked 3 rooms all with double bed. However, we were told there are no double bed rooms when we arrived. We are three couples, one is for honey moon. Besides, the rooms are different from the picture we saw in the website. Will never stay there again. We were cheated.

Very good hotel for the money. Virtualy 200 meters from Khaosan Road and 15 min by tuk-tuk to the Royal palace. Decent brekfast and polite service. Would deffinitely recomend if you are there for 2-3 nights. Noise level (from music) is a bit high (dies down about 01:00 - 02:00) but everthing cank be perfect. Room is decent and clean the only minus is the shower which is about 1.6 m in hight ;-)

We stayed in a Standard Room for 1 night. The taxi driver couldn’t find the hotel, had to call reception to get directions. People at reception were not friendly. Room smelt musty and air conditioning didn’t help. Couldn’t open the window. Don’t know if the deluxe rooms were better. Pool didn’t look great. Hotel taxi ridiculously expensive. Almost double the cost to go to airport compared with metered taxi that we got to hotel. Overall I wouldn’t stay there again. The positive for the hotel is that is one street away from Khosan Road, although I wasn’t very impressed with that place either.

This is excellent location and good for stop over if you plan to continue with Lomprayah buss/ferry to Tao-Phangan-Samui next morning. Also Khao San Road is just around the corner. River boat is reachable by foot (about 10 min walk). Hotel is modest but clean with reasonable services (very good foot massage at lobby level). This was the 2nd time we stayed here.

Loction- at the heart of the action, easy to go to everywhere.Price-too expensive. You can find equal level at nearby area in half price.Aircon is little bit oldy and not so sstrong.Rooms are nice and big. Breakfast is vry good, but no white or yellow cheese. Nice room, courteous and very helpful staff and the pool is a definite bonus after a day tripping around Bangkok. Nice and close to Khaosan Rd, but not close enough to hear it! This hotel was OK. Not great, but not bad. It didn't have much character. It is only one block from the backpackers street and it is very loud. Lot's of clubs and action. BUT, it is close to the Grand Palace if you don't mind a bit of a walk. Even with all the activity, we felt safe. Breakfast buffet was nice.

The main benefit of this hotel is the central location. Our deluxe-room was okay so far, but seemed to us rather basic. There was a strange smell in our room and our bed-sheets were dirty on our arrival. The personal on the reception was uninterested and arrogant. Fortunately, we stayed in a room on the backside and so it was quite calm. The breakfast buffet was good and offered a wide choice. The taxi-service of the hotel demanded 700 B for the transfer to the airport, which was twice as much as we actually paid in a metered taxi.

The Viengtai was recommended by travelers as a nice place for a start in Bangkok. I had two separate resrevations, because we had a tour in between, and stayed at the Viengtai three nights altogether. We liked it so much that we were sorry to leave it for our next reservation, and on our next visit to BKK we'll definitely stay only there. It is a quiet place in the middle of the hectic and always changing Khao San area. Though their website says that Rambuttri street is two streets off the Khao San, there wasn't so much difference, it isn't a really quiet street. But we took a backside room which was completely quiet, the sixth floor which is No Smoking and larger rooms. The hotel is very comfortable, perfectly clean, helpful staff. I liked the cool stone floor in the room, which suits the Bangkok weather. The breakfast restaurant has specially nice light colors and not the huge hall that I had in other hotels. The hotel is airy and spacious but not imposing, and small enough that they probably don't get groups, that's a definite advantage for people who don't like to be a part of the crowd. It's very convenient and close-by for tourist attractions, we returned to the area for sights after our Viengtai stay was over, so we really should have stayed there longer. The Rambuttri and Khao San area is really fun even though it's not the classic Thai culture, and it didn't bother us at all that most of people there were the age of our grandchildren. It's true that the BTS Skytrain isn't there but there are plenty of cheap taxis - on the street, not the taxi station at the hotel front. You get right to the entrance of where you want to visit, don't have to go up and down 2-3 stories of stairs at the stations.

horrible stay, would not recommend. Perhaps they have half the rooms renovated, but ours was not. The room was old and small, the bathroom musty, the furnishings weren't really clean, including the sheets, the bed was old, stained and hard as plywood, the carpet was old, and probably hasn't been vacuumed in a while, the fridge didn't work. 3 days in this hotel was too long. The front lobby looked good and the buffet american breakfast was okay. The only good part was the location, walkable to the Grand Palace and Emerald Buddha, next to Khao San Road and lots of street vendors for shopping. No internet, laundry was expensive, can get it down the road for cheaper. The room key required 500B deposit, and another 500B desposit for a safety deposit box at the front desk. Metered taxi was about 400B on the way in, and 450B on the way out.
