Shewe Wana Boutique Resort & Spa resides on Charoenmuang Road of the colourful Chiang Mai, within a short stroll to the famous Chiang Mai Bazaar and Weekend Walking Street. A number of delectable restaurants along the river, local market and shops as well as the train station and bus terminal are also located in close proximity.
Follow the traditional Chinese belief of Feng Shui, five lucky colours, namely, Blue, Green, Gold, Red, and White, are used to set the tone and ambience of the cosy accommodation. Set amidst the lush tropical paradise, each exquisitely designed guestroom is fully furnished with a range of quality amenities. Various in-house facilities include internet access, pool and Jacuzzi, spa & massage, and Yoga course.

Accommodation and facilities:
We stayed for 5 nights at Shewe Wana and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Initially we were booked into 2 superior rooms but as we were staying longer than a couple of nights the owner suggested we may want to upgrade to a family suite. This was an excellent suggestion and although we had to pay more we felt we got more than our moneys worth in return. The suite was more like a small house with hardwood floors throughout, a living room and dining area, large fridge, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, air con in each room as well as the living room and there was lots of room to unpack your clothes. There was a large covered veranda with table, chairs, and a canopy bed all overlooking a koi pond. The grounds were lushly landscaped and we felt the resort was an oasis in a noisy busy city. The staff were the most attentive and helpful of any of the hotels we stayed at on our trip. Everyone had a smile and said hello and the front desk staff were always ready to help with whatever you needed whether it was to book a tour, arrange a taxi, or make a restaurant suggestion. The owner was also very helpful and friendly and would check in to see how your day was going and what you had planned. The cooking class offered by the resort was closed at the time we were there but when she heard that my husband and son wanted to take a class she reopened it just for them. They made 4 different dishes and had a fantastic time and to top it all off the staff video taped the whole thing and provided us with a dvd to take home. While the boys were cooking my daughter and I had a 2 hr massage and facial which was very relaxing and left us feeling rejuvenated. (and at a fraction of the cost of what we would pay at home!) The breakfast included with the room rate was excellent and in addition to the food on the buffet you can order anything you want from the kitchen and it will be made to order. I would highly recommend Shewe Wana if you are looking for great service, friendly staff and a clean, comfortable, safe place to stay. Thank you to all the staff at Shewe Wana if we are back in Chiang Mai we will definitely being staying there again. PS: one recommendation I do have is that it would be helpful if there were clocks in the bedrooms and one on the wall in the living room. This wasn't unique to this hotel it was something that we found lacking in all the hotels we stayed in.
Reservation service:
SiameServices made booking the hotel easy and straight forward and their rates were the best I have seen. I used them to book all our hotels in Thailand and wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Lovely Hotel, rightly known as The Forest in the City . Staff are friendly & helpful, the Breakfast ranks alongside others in much bigger Hotels. The only small gripe would be that it is (admitedly only a 10 minute walk) a bit of a walk into Town & the Old City and a shortage of Bars/Supermarkets locally, none of this is a problem.

Accommodation and facilities:
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Shewe Wana. The lush greenery of the secluded courtyards, the lovely pools and the friendly staff made us feel really welcomed. We where the only couple with children wich gave us full attention from the staff. The only negative for us were the location. With two small kids we preferred to avoid tuk-tuk and taxis and though the place is close to town (10 min walk to night market) the street outside the hotel is very busy and not for trolleys and small kids. Something that the hotel can't be blamed for. We can really recommend the Shewe Wana.

We spent 2 days on a white-water rafting trip prior to our stay at your boutique hotel. What an amazing treat for us! The rooms were quite nice and the spa was fantastic, we spent a full day there for a very reasonable price. It felt like a little sanctuary, but when you walked outside, you had the conveniences of the city. Would certainly stay again.
