Ok, but should avoid. At baht 1300, its expensive. The hotel has converted the 2nd level to backpaacker hotel for baht 200/300 a room. The other higher levels as hotel rooms are dark and empty with guests. Eerie. Will not stay there again.

Starbright is actually a 4 storey building converted into Hotel. No elevators, a problem if you have large bags, fortunately the people there helped carried the luggage. Rooms are large and comfortable. One of the toilet drainage can be improved. Location is great as it is about 3-5 minutes walk from the Night Bazaar. Breakfast is not buffet style but decent. Air-con works fine, location opposite a small departmental store, with several massage area, travel guide, and very near to Wang Come Hotel. Good for young and middle-age but if you are elderly, be worry about climbing the stairs. Overall it is ok. Do not see any internet connection

The rooms are newly renovated and they look great!! The hotel is small with only 7 rooms and great location (very close to the night bazar). The staff is very helpful and nice, but the manager is another story, probably a former tuk tuk driver that has been making a living out of stupid tourists! If he wants his business to grow he should lighten up a little and be thankful for his amazing staff.

The hotel is in the middle of Chiang Rai and everything (night bazar etc. ) is really close and in walking destination. Staff was nice. BUT - we had booked there for two nights and checked out after one night because there was a construction area right next to the hotel and they were working the whole night. We were not able to sleep as it was too loud. Nevertheless the hotel charged us two nights!! We would not recommend this hotel at all, very dissapointed!

It as a small hotel, only 8 rooms but they were very large.As the hotel was located near the night bazar we did not have any trouble for entertainment. The ABF was good en the staff very friendly. Other meals were also of high quality.

The hotel is clean, the staff is nice but it has a bad taste. The owner is an American who trie dto take ideas from the US into a hotel in Thailand and it turned out in a very bad taste for adornments in the hotel. The other issue is the noises, you can hear noises very easily in the room. Unfortunately when I stayed, someone took some prostitues inside and you could hear the fake screams for two hours. There are definately better choices in Chiang Rai.

This boutique hotel is right in the middle of town. Very convienient for food and transportation and of course very close to the night market.Although it is a 4 storey shoplot,the hotel ambiance is excellent.Room is very large, clean and comfortable. Met the American owner who is very pleasant and friendly. The staff are helpful and reliable. Food and service is excellent. They tried to provide as much comfort to the customers which is good. Only one note to those having problem to climb high stairs..they don't have elevator :) But never mind we need those exercise sometimes.

An outstanding find! The staff was friendly and helpful and the location is perfect, a block from the bus station and night market. We enjoyed our conversions with Tom , the general manager since he was interesting and very knowledgable. In addition, our best massages (by far) were in the Starbright spa. A discount for the spa is available for hotel guests, so be sure to ask. The hotel is clean, quiet and intimate.
