I spent 7 days with my family (2 children, 10/12y) in this small, beautiful and quiet hotel. The rooms, facilities and garden are very clean and well maintained. The breakfast offers a good selection of continental and Thai food. The staff is utmost friendly and helpful. The hotel has direct access to the beach. Shopping facilities are very close (a large department store in walking distance). The pool is a bit shallow for swimmers - but this is not that important. On Thai holidays there are also many Thai guests. Usually the hotel seems to be populated by Western European guests.

Hotellet är litet med ett härligt lugn. Allt är mycket välskött och snyggt. Vårt rum hade trädgårdsview med en liten balkong där man kan sitta (med risk att få moskitostick). Mycket fint rum, bra sängar MEN kuddarna var hårda. Första natten hade vi svårt med kuddarna men det gick bättre efter hand. Personal fanns tillgänglig hela tiden och var mycket vänliga och hjälpsamma. Bra läge vid fin långgrund sandstrand, lugnt område men med gångavstånd till folkrika restaurang- och marknadsområden om man vill ha omväxling på kvällen. Vi rekommenderar maten som serveras på hotellets lilla utomhus-restaurang - mycket god!

nice and spacious rooms, but access not easy with baby cart, no elevator. good place for couples or family with bigger children. pool a bit small and with plenty of chlorine. staff very attentive

This is our second stay at Baan Bayan, a comfortable boutique hotel build in traditional Thai style, great accomodation if you re not keen on the big resorts. The hotel is set back from the main road and right on the beach with 2 pools (one suitable for children) An easy 5 minute walk to the modern Market which includes shops and supermarket. Very helpful staff with good english- will go back again.

Super godt hotel. Klart at anbefale. Ca 3 km fra centrum, som dog passede os perfekt. Man var lidt væk fra al larmen. Det kostede dog kun 100 thb (20 kr) med Tuk Tuk til centrum. Vil klart bo på det her hotel igen næste gang.

We were overwhelmed by the resort, it was magnificent. Our room was first class, it had all the character of the original building but with a very modern bathroom. It was the best of old and new. The pool area was good, although the pool was basically a childs pool. Breakfast was good with the only shortcoming being a lack of English , but my Thai is non existence so who's in the wrong. It is well placed as you were able to walk into the main area of town and is almost opposite Tesco/Lotus and the multitude of shops in the complex. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend Baan Bayan to those who want a sophisticated resort that offered everthing

Large room, very clean, in great location on the beach. I small observation the bathrooms appear newly renovated but need a better shower right now it is a flexable hose that fires water everywhere, please put in a rain shower you have them outside by the pool. This is my one and only complaint, I enjoyed my stay and will be back.

The hotel system was very nice. The prices are in my opinion too high, however. Also the breakfast is rudimentary and approves want remaining. That bungalow was cleaned, however, daily very much cleanly and gotten freshly. Receive very well. The bars relatively small and in spite of renovation of the swimming pool no discount was given.

Smaller boutique hotel with direct access to beach away from the busier resort areas.Excellent staff aways willing to help and most welcoming.Small breakfast menu available with both european and thai options served by friendly staff. Some rooms being refurbished while we stayed which is probably required as some paint work needs refreshing.Handy shopping mall a short walk away and not far by hotel shuttle to night market and the busy shopping area, fishing pier and restaurants.A restful place to stay in a tradional Thai style,would loved to have stayed longer.

Upon check-in hotel gave impression of somewhat lost glory, but after a few days we felt this as an advantage, moreover as hotel is not too big! Hotelstaff very friendly with sufficient english knowledge. They surprised me on check-out day with some small htl presents as it was then my birthday--very attentive/thoughtfull. No negative points--If back in Huahin, will be bach to Baan Bayan Room with seaview definite okay, bfst okay and good variety. Location opposite shopping mall and some 12 minutes walking from village centre. Htl has own beach area with free chair/towel facility, next to free beach area with (cheap) food & bev.& massage facilities.

Lovely small hotel with a nice atmosphere. We stayed in the old house, which was excellent. Staff very low key (sometimes to the point of not giving information such as when the beach was closed). Location is right on the beach and view is nice. Horses for hire on the beach can be annoying. Hotel food was good.
