Fräscht snyggt rum. Prisvärt. Fin strand. Gångavstånd till centrum med marknader och restauranger. Spännade med stora papegojor och andra djur i hotellträdgården. Personalen mycket tillmötesgående. När vi skulle resa hem fick vi stanna hela dagen, checkade ut kl 12 men fick ha kvar strandhanddukar och solstolar så länge vi ville. Innan vi reste fick vi låna dusch och fick nya duschhanddukar utan att betala något. Restaurangens mat var inte lika god som vi vant oss vid att få i Thailand, rekommenderar grannhotellet Baan Bayan för god lunch.

We had an excellent stay at the Veranda Lodge. We tried two kind of rooms. One villa room and one long-stay suite. Both were clean and cozy. The long stay is the perfect choice for a few day stay with a family as mine (2 young kids of 5 and 3). We particularly appreciated the hotel's restaurant: good selection of tasty western and Thai dishes at a very affordable price. The private beach was clean and the beach-boy was nice and helpful like all the staff of the hotel.

Very beautiful, peaceful and quiet place to stay. Lots of plants and animals. Beach is at the door. Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner-Room is at the beach which is not overcrowded in this area. To reach The center of Hua Hin you probably go by TukTuk which is 100 baht usually (3-5 minutes ride). Breakfast is ok, other meals are good but not very cheap, free wlan on room and on the beach! The pool is nice to look at, but nothing more. In the Garden Bungalows you will keep the curtains closed all the time because of people walking by outside and the bungalows are facing at each other also.

Très bon petit hôtel familial, excellente situation avec accès direct à la mer, les personnels sont très accueillants et serviables. L hôtel est à peine à 5 mn à pied d un grand centre commercial (VILLAGE MARKET) et à 15-20 mn à pied des marchés de nuit très animés et touristiques. Juste un petit point faible (sans grande conséquence) le menu du petit-déjeuner est très limité mais de bonne qualité. Si non tout le reste est parfait, je reviendrai à cet hôtel pour mes prochaines vacances car bon rapport qualité prix. C est un coin très agréable. A recommander.

Hotel right on the beachfront in central HuaHin. There is a restaurant in the hotel that serves a great a la carte breakfast and has very good evening dinner. The restaurant looks out over the sea. The beach is immediately adjacent to the hotel and they have sun loungers with matresses that are laid out for guests free of charge. Room service from the restaurant is also delivered to the beach. It is a smallish hotel and the staff are very friendly and always very helpful. The rooms are decent sized and look very fresh, with in-room aircon and fresh looking bathrooms. You have both bathroom towels and beach towels. There is free wireless internet in the hotel. They have bikes for rent as well, but when we were there it was low season and we borrowed them for free - again a really nice gesture by the hotel. It is about 25 minutes walk to the main city centre (or bar street) either along the beach or along the road. This is the only beachfront hotel that we have found that is not 5-star deluxe with the accompanying price. The only thing this hotel does not have is a nice pool. There is one, but I would not bother with it, so if you have kids that want to play in the pool this is not the place for you (we prefer the sea though so not a problem for us). We were incredibly satisfied with this hotel and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone! /Dan & Myn (Sweden)

Veranda Lodge is on the road out of town, on the beach. It's not the first hotel to be suffering from delusions of grandeur. Despite what the website would have us believe, it's a pretty basic place with nice, clean rooms - that's it. Don't believe the garden view rubbish about the deluxe rooms. There is no view of any description to be had from those rooms apart from maybe another roof! Free wireless internet is a big bonus. As are the reserved sun loungers on the beach. Breakfast was good. However, apart from that, the food in the restaurant is pure tourist muck. We had spring rolls that clearly came out of a freezer...and this in Thailand? Why? Sleep in Veranda Lodge. Eat elsewhere. Oh and their prices for taxis to Bangkok and motorcycle hire were roughly double what they charge in Hua Hin town.

From the beach, I had reservations as the front looked in need of maintenance. The hotel itself inside is well looked after, the rooms comfortable. Balcony not good to sit out as small but good to dry swimsuits etc. The pool is small, not for swimming,but situated in an exotic, fragrant garden. The breakfast selections were good - you can mix and match - and other meals of excellent quality. The view from the restaurant overlooked the best part of Hua Hin beach, they reserve sun-lounges for each guest. A small hotel with a pleasant ambience. Good location.

We just came back home with good memories of Hua Hin. It was the second time I have been there. The resort has perfect location. It's just a step to the beach and the main road is just around 200 meters away. All utensils are neat and clean. Staff are helpful.
