I have been staying at the Aana for 5 years now, but had not been back for 3. Things have unfortunately changed a lot. The resort looks run down, not cared for. It has really not had much upkeep. The staff at reception used to be very friendly, but now the staff were rude and spoke no English - amazing as the majority of guests were foreign. Breakfast was mediorcure and the service was very poor in the restaurant. They still serve the fake orange juice - it would be so nice if they got some real OJ. The location is still nice, quiet and very peaceful. The beach facilities are OK. The Aana can live on with proper managment, more English speaking staff and a lot of money going into maintenance.

С 27 октября по 2 ноября 2010г. мы семьей из трех человек проживали в AANA Resort & Spa . Номер был стандартный в общем корпусе. Добирались мы из Бангкока до Ко Чанга на такси за 2700 баттов. Билет на паром стоил 80 баттов на человека. Нам отель очень понравился: приветливый персонал, функциональные и чистые номера, большой балкон с кроватью и столом для отдыха. Завтраки разнообразные и вкусные. Несколько раз ходили ужинать в ресторан. Цены умеренные, кухня хорошая, обслуживание качественное. Гостиница имеет собственный пляж, на которой можно бесплатно добраться на лодке. Пляж уединенный, тихий, но в период нашего пребывания был не очень чистый. До пляжа белые пески от гостиницы ходит бесплатный шатл утром и вечером. Спа услуги в гостинце достаточно дороги и мы делали эти процедуры в расположенной рядом спа академии (цены в 2-3 раза дешевле, а качество хорошее).В 2-х километрах от гостиницы находится слоновья ферма и водопад. Катание на слонах стоит 250 баттов с человека за 0,5 часа и 500 баттов за час. Осмотр водопада 200 батт с человека. Вот и все развлечения. Гостиница хороша для тихого семейного отдыха. Единственный недостаток - плохая мобильная связь. Мы смело можем рекомендовать эту гостиницу.

We were at AANA resort 4 days. We had a great time there. The rooms are clean, the facilities is good, but, the lower swimming pool is not maintenenad so well, they have a Jacuzzi and waterfall that we asked several time to operate, they said ok and did nothing, also, there is no chullout bar at tha pool, you cannot order drinks or food, it looks like an abended place. They charge you for any single thing such as: water battle, we didn't know in each one of the brand to use, and I m talking about drinking water. Drink opener - they tried to charge us for something that was nt at the room from the first place. Laundry bag - we never(!!!) charged for the laundry bag. beside those things it was great, the place is nice the staff are nice and Koh Chang isamazing.

В отеле отдыхали 3 дня, очень понравилось, не смотря на то, что не было своего нормального пляжа и надо было добираться до него на байдарке которую здесь же и предложат. Зато пляж был девственно чистый на котором кроме нас был ещё один абориген с дреддами. берег ровный и чистый если нет волн, ни каких ежей мы не почувствовали в воде. питание было стандартным , как и везде по таиланду. Нам предложили на ресепшен съездить на пляж от другого отеля. чем мы и воспользовались. там пляж был восхитительным и оборудованным , но такой первозданной природы пляжа AANA resort & spa не было. сам отель не много староват, но номера были отличными, нам очень понравились кровати с балдахинами, от комаров спасают отдыхающих. массаж очень дорог в отеле , просят за 1 час 800 бат. Во второй раз в этот отель уже не поехали бы, но всё равно всё понравилось.

We stayed 3 nights in Top View Villa and it was amazing trip. The balcony is good for relaxing in the evening looking over the river view toward the beach. The jacuzzi is perfect for cooling down after a blazing heat afternoon, but it d be rather useless for other time of the day, or other season than summer. Sipping a cold iced beer in the Top Hill swimming pool looking at the sunset is also great experience. Hotel staffs are very accommodate in general. The spa was great even though a bit pricey. We consider breakfast as the down point for Aana as there re not many varieties and the quality is too common for the price and image the hotel tried to display but after all, we re satisfied with Aana.

What can I say. My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Aana Resort on Koh Chang. The breakfast buffet was very good, the grounds were well thought out (beautiful foliage), the staff helpful and efficient. We loved the view of the canal, overlooking the grounds and mountains (from our Villa patio). The room was clean and beautiful. You can take a kayak to their private beach (take photos at sunset--beautiful) or staff member will take you there by small boat. Very peaceful. A few minor exceptions were the WiFi was more expensive (600 THB/200 minutes) than in town (60 THB/minute). Renting a bike or getting snorkeling/scuba/elephant trekking excursions were also less pricey in town. Food was also less expensive in town with many restaurants to choose from. Word of advice: look for the restaurants that are packed; usually the food and service is very good. We recommend the Aana Resort to anyone who wants to be away from the crowded White Sand Beach area but is close enough to take a short taxi ride (not expensive).

Rooms were clean and in good condition. Beach service was good also. Drawback was having to take a boat to the beach, but it wasn't terribly inconvenient. Concierge service was very good. I rented a moped for a day and they made it very simple. Payment through SIAMESERVICES was painless. Restaurant service is not very good. Staff were slow to respond and not very helpful. We had to pay for a compulsory new years dinner which was not a good value.

Advantages: Beautiful romantic territory, bungalows of unique architecture, large rooms and balcony, friendly reception staff -helpful with booking motobikes, taxi, etc. Disadvantages: Some buildings look worn-out. Wouldnt recommend to book a superior building if you dont like walking, it takes quite a way to get to the restaurant. Also, You should take a hotel boat or an individual kayak to get to the beach where its impossible to swim before 2pm because of low-tide, water is quite shallow. Breakfasts were nice at the beginning of our vacation, however upon arrival of some Thai delegation, at about 9am there was already nothing left to eat, and we had to remind couple times to serve us coffee, tea, etc, or supply with silverwear. i guess restaurant administration should count hotel guests before cooking buffet breakfast and pay better attention to restaurant service. It was a nice experience at Aana, however next time I would choose a hotel close to the beach(in 2007 i stayed at Bhumiyama Beach Resort- nice place, remote though)

The hotel is situated in the most beautiful surroundings. At night the lighting adds to the jungle-type setting. We stayed in a top view villa. The small outdoor tub was cold and less useful, but the view was great. The room itself had a really large window overlooking the lagoon. Great view from the bed! The bathroom was OK, but the thin door did not leave much room for privacy. The restaurant served more than just decent meals, and the breakfast was as expected. We tried the small gym, which is ok for average users. The private beach a litte down the lagoon is wonderful and no crowded at all, with great service, affordable massage and a nice restaurant and beach bar. The staff was friendly and very helpfull. All in all we had a great stay at ANAA. Can recommend it.

Great service, beutiful surroundings with lovely flowers, trees and bushes. Clean pool with easy access and not too many people. The breakfast was very nice and there was nothing missing. The beach was kept in good condition and we had no problems in getting there with the boats from the hotel. The rooms were clean and nicely furnished in soft colours. The only thing we were not inpressed with was the food in the restaurant, it was boring with no surprises, we think it was a mistake to try to make it european. I can strongly recommend AANA.

We stayed in this Resort in february 2007. The staff is friendly but not always fully-professional (When we arrived, we must wait 1 hour to receive our room (booked 2 months before)until noon, and another 1.30 hours for our luggages (after a call to the reception). The breakfast is basic with poor food selection and, inexcusably, reconsituted fruit juices. Although barely 2 years old, the buildings are already showing wear and tear: few of our doors, windows and the wardrobe fit properly. The water in the jacuzzi was so cold that you cannot stay more then 2 or 3 minutes inside. The price we paid (US$225 per night for a Top View Villa) is higher than they ought to be. The reality is not what they show in the web side, we won't be returning to AANA in a hurry.

| The Cinnamon The Cinnamon, AANAs Restaurant, is located alongside the river and the access point to the private beach, and daily open from 07.00 to 23.00. After starting in the morning with an International and Thai breakfast buffet it will offer for lunch and dinner an a la carte menu with a wide selection of Thai and European dishes with a particular emphasis on healthy and authentic eastern Thai cuisine and a lot of fresh seafood. The extensive wine list of Cinnamon will add to the dining pleasure.

The Hill Bar The Hill Bar, situated on the top of the Resort next to one of AANA's swimming pools, is open from 12.00 to 21.00 and serves light meals or snacks during the day. Hill Bar is the best viewpoint on the property, overlooking the whole resort, the river, the mountains and the Gulf of Siam; the perfect spot for an aperitif or a cocktail during sundown and before heading to the restaurant for dinner.
