A wonderful place with helpful and very nice staff. The beach is very good and even have some good coral on the north side. The only downside is that it can be hard to find a taxi. Stayed in a pool villa and was very satisfied with the bungalow.

+ stylish resort with a great pool and cosy huts, nice bar - - - because of the the ajoining steet it was very noisy at night - no sleep without earplugs! - a few steps down to the beach, but the nice part was afar - you have to bring your own parasol, no shade - lousy breakfast for the value in fact we renounced one night and moved to relaxed place

Lovely restaurant with beautiful view and good food but need to get to it early or reserve a table as very popular with guests from other hotels. No teabags in room, only coffee sachets. When specifically asked for one, was told that they were not provided in the rooms. For the amount of money you pay at this hotel, this attitude is not acceptable.

We stayed in one of the seaview bungalows, paid the extra to have the view and what a view it was, our room overlooked the whole beach and the beach is beautiful. Unfortunately our room also was on top of the dive centre, so we were woken up to them arriving at 7am every morning which probably wouldn't have been to bad except our room also overlooked the bar so we would be awake until the bar closed due to their music and also music from up the beach where they had a live band every night. This resort is just beautiful don't get me wrong, its tucked away in a much quieter location of Lanta but you have a 7/11 just up the street and there are motorbikes for hire at $5 per day so you can get to wherever you want to go. So overall I loved the resort and their facilities but would not stay there again because of the noise.

wir waren die ersten Gäste, die wohl für einen Zeitraum von 3 Wochen dort Ihre Ferien verbracht haben. Leider können wir dieses Resort auch nur für max. 2- 3 Tage empfehlen. Die Bungalows sind grosszügig und in Ordnung. Die Lage ist jedoch nicht die, welche im Imternet suggeriert wird, eingezwängt zwischen den Geschäften und dem Marine Park Resort. Da im Marine Park die Musik biss 3-4 Uhr in der früh läuft, hatten wir keine Nacht Ruhe und ab 6.00 Uhr kommen die Mopeds der Angestellen. Es besteht nur ein Strandzugang keine direkte Standlage. Wie sind daher vorzeitig abreist und haben uns ein anderes Resort gesucht. Die Leute ansonsten sind nett und freundlich. Wir würden aber in keinem Fall an diesem Teil von Koh Lanta mehr reisen.

Небольшой, очень уютный отель. В бунгало есть все необходимое. Из минусов - очень тусклое освещение и старые полотенца. Кроме того, вода была не всегда достаточно горячей. Все остальное - супер: работа персонала, пляж, на котором расположен отель, ресторан, бассейн, рядом с отелем есть 7eleven. Рекомендую отель всем, кто ищет спокойного расслабляющего отдыха. Всю неделю пребывания чувствовала себя как дома!

FAAAAAAABulous place to stay, my most favourite place in my whole time in Thailand. Had room 9 by the pool and garden. Really cute and comfortable room although very dark. Bed was great, Loved the mosquito net, air conditioning was brilliant and very quiet. Roman Blinds didn't work and i had to improvise with the toilet flush when the cistern stopped filling after a flush but only minor problems that didn't affect my opinion of the place. The staff are amazing!!!! they can't do enough for you. Felt like I was part of the family after 5 days staying there. The Shroom bar is great fun, must try the welcome drink (contains scorpion and snake...) and get Yas and Nong to teach you some Thai. The restaurant has fabulous and cheap Thai meals, the western not quite as good as westerners do it, but hey you can get western food at home!!! The massage is also very good and the Thai massage didn't feel like being being beaten up for an hour like some places can. Is at the very southern end of the Island but easy to hire a scooter to get around (make sure to wear sunscreen, especally on your hands!!). I was there for a wedding at the Pimalai next door so location was perfect for me. Lovely beach full of crabs at night but like the rest of the Island has alot of rubbish scattered around it.

This is a lovely hotel which is amazing value for money. There are draw backs, the rooms are dark and the steps up to the rooms quite steep. However all the hotels in this region of Koh Lanta have similar steps so it isn't the fault of the hotel.

The service is very efficient, but I booked one double and one twin bedded room. This was confirmed, but the hotel has no twin bedded rooms. This caused a lot of inconvenience for the hotel and irritation for my grown up children who didn't want to sleep together.

We stayed here a whole week with our 8-months old baby. We loved the place. Very nice pool area with possibility for shade. Bungalows are very nice and cozy, but have some mosquitoes inside at night (a net for the bed is provided). Make sure you book one of the garden bungalows. The other bungalows may suffer noise from a bar just below. Excellent food, and very nice staff!

The place is quite far south from the main beaches. The beach is really nice and better than the main beaches in Ko Lanta. If you rent a motorbike, that's not a problem, or if you don't need to go often to the city. They have a shuttle to the pier every day though. The rooms are a bit dark, but ok and clean. Aircon was a bit noisy. Pool and the garden surrounding the pool were really nice. Breakfast quite bad, but improved a little when the high season started. Just don't book the seaview rooms! They all are next to the restaurant and bar. There will be plenty of noise till midnight. Particularly the room number 3 was bad: the diving instructors were staying right below that bungalow and were making plenty of noise late in the night. The soundproofing of the rooms is nonexistant. The garden is so nice that you don't need the seaview, trust me.

We got married at the resort and we had expected them to do something extra that day, but nothing... Not even a flower on the bed. Except from these two things the resort is very good!

This is a good hotel, and good value as well. The hotel is lovely, staff is very nice, and the restaurant is definately the best in the bay, with great views, a nice breeze, and the opportunity of sala-style seating. However, the resort is built up the steep slope of the headland, and all access to rooms requires quite a bit of steep stair climbing. Travelling with two small children, we therefore ended up staying only one rather than the intended seven nights. Staff was understanding a very helpful though. We still came back for dinner or lunch pretty much every day. Also, the resort charges high prices for the use of WiFi, which was free in all other resorts we staid in during our 8 weeks of travelling in Thailand. Overall, good resort, but not for small children.

Excellent resort close to the fabulous Kan Tiang beach. They offered the BEST Thai food we had during our trip to Ao Nang, Lanta and Bangkok. Spicy and fresh! (Much better than on Same Same But Different which is on the same beach). Beach view bungalows are spacious and comfortable, even with an extra bed (we had # 1 and 2, which are not so close to the bar and late night music). The staff are all very nice and familiar and their own travel organizer has a solution for all your needs. There are ATM machines, a 7-11 shop and a few other facilities on the road behind the resort. Don't miss Koh Rok - a wonderful beach and snorkeling site and the sunset view from Top Bar, a 10-minute walk from Baan Lanta! The Massage is quite expensive here. Unfortunatly there was quite a lot of glass on the beach after the New Years Eve celebrations. Hopefully it's gone when you get there! We picked some every day.

This hotel was the best hotel we stayed at in Thailand, we could not fault it, the room was clean, the shower/bathroom was spotless, was cleaned everyday very nicely, the staff where ALL friendly and very helpful, breakfast was yummy too. We were sad to leave and nothing lived up to it after. all in all it was the perfect week holiday in Koh Lanta. The island is perfect to relax and take time out for yourself, there is no expectations of anything. But must say there isn't a great deal to do in Koh Lanta but thats good because if there was it would be tarnished by westerners and it wouldn't be so untouched an beautiful as it is.

we had a wonderful stay at the Baan Laanta Resort. it is a small and cozy place to be. the people were very friendly and even for my 2 year daughter it was good. as they love the kids over there and i didnt have to worry about a thing. the only thing i would say is that with small childern is not that well as the stairs to go to the bungalows are dangerous and when it is raining it is very slippery. the bungalows were clean. the way to the beach is a bit rocky, but it didnt do any harm to us to go there for a walk and let the waves surround our feets. i would go there again.

However, the bungalow was very dimly lit at night that made reading virtually impossible. Also the steps were dangerous at night due to the lack of lighting. Bathroom was very basic and the fittings seemed very tired .

Questo resort ha vissuto tempi sicuramente migliori, probabilmente con un altra gestione. Attualmente è gestito da una famiglia, in senso stretto, mussulmana che da l mpressione di essere molto approssimativa nel mandare avanti l organizzazione. il ristorante non ha nel menu il maiale e non vende alcolici(birra) che deve essere comprata e pagata separatamente al vicino bar. Il gestore dell agenzia turistica nel resort vende gite nelle isole vicine a condizioni totalmente diverse da quelle previste.In pratica da fregature gigantesce La pulizia dei bagni lascia molto a desiderare. I bungalows con vista sulla baia si affacciano più sulla cucina e sul ristorante che sulla medesima e costano più cari di quelli che si affaciano sulla piscina, decisamenete più tranquilli. Decisamente ottima invece la spiaggia sia per la sua bellezza che per la tranquillità. Tralascio di parlare, per pietà, di quella che viene definita pomposamente SPA Nel complesso il resort non vale i soldi che costa e mi spiace molto pensarlo ma tutto ciò è dovuto al fatto che l organizzazione è gestita da mussulmani

The location is really pleasant on Ka Tiang beach , very quiet far away from the crowded beaches of North island. The resort with its a few bungalows (15) is really charming. Everything's there is well organized and clean(garden, pool, SPA). The bar on the beach is worth visiting late afternoon or in the evening. The only point is the service at the restaurant, really slow and amateur but with the smile.

The resort has a van into town each day with a pick up a few hours later as its expensive to get a taxi from the south. The people were very welcoming and helpful... All up very nice place.

I don't recommand this hotel. It's not clean, sometimes there is no water and we cannot have shower, often there is no hot water. The housekeeping is not good : waskbasin and toilets no clean everyday. The dust is not put off on furnitures. Toilet leaked... The room is as dark as we cannot read in the room. We were just closed the road, so there were motorcycles since 5am until 11 or 12pm. horrible hotel

Baan Lanta was beautiful. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. The only problem was that te beach was a little rocky but it did not prevent us from enjoying the beach. They bring in fresh seafood every night for a fresh barbecue. We stayed in a beach front villa and were very impressed with the room. It was by far our nicest room on our 3 week trip. The resort was expensive compared to other resorts on the island, but after seeing some of the other resorts we were glad we chose Baan Lanta. If you visit Koh Lanta Yai, we recommend this resort.

Great resort! Baan Lanta has only 15 bungalows. 10 bungalows (No. 5 - No. 14) are located around the nice pool. Fortunately the Kantiang Bay is not crowded (currently there are only 5 hotels/resorts). The beach itself is okay, but there are nicer beaches in Thailand. Finally the restaurant of Baan Lanta is awesome. We have met many people from other hotels/resorts eating in the Baan Lanta restaurant. Overall we enjoyed our stay (6 nights) a lot!

Very nice hotel. I can really recommend to go there... I would suggest to take the Seaview Bungalows rather than the Poolside Bungalows just because if you wake up and see the sea and beach its amazing. Unfortunately they are not 100% perfect when cleaning up the room and I am a very picky person but its still ok and I would definately go there again. BTW they have the best BBQ on the beach (and the best I ate in Thailand ever) Tiger Prawns and the Red Snapper - delicious!!

The setting and facilities are wonderful, but do not expect great service or much in the way of attention-to-detail. Ensure you are not in rooms 3 or 2, which are gorgeous beachfront villas but adjacent to the bar which has music going to 2am and beyond each night. Highly recommended, but only for the very chilled.

Original booking good, but have yet to receive my credit for the room change (to a non-beachfront/barfront room) I had to organise when at the venue to get away from the noise of the music. Could be a communication problem between the hotel and siameservices, though.
