when we arrived in our room, we did not see towels, television, coffeemaker, and phone for wake-up call.!!! so just basis accomodation.,andfor price we paid -1600baht -not possible!!!!also diving center not ok, they did not email us, the ko lanta diving centr of the resort and they were very rudeat the pphoneso we decided to go diving with scandinavian lantadiver who is cheaper , but there you have every day another divemaster and not every guide is ok. when i missed the ropei hadto paydive, but anyway wewould go dive with them again. swimming pool of hotel smells too hard , too much detergent inside.only thing ok isthe beautiful beach and location.in evening other hotels had attractions, in this one nothing to see/do. poorest hotel of three stars in thailand we ever had, and we travel a lot, also no key deposit , andyu must give the key for cleaning the room, so if yu forget no clean up

Located in a nice garden on the middle of Klong Dao Beach, and not too far away from Saladan. Nice restaurant located on the beach. Good location for those who want a calm beach holiday but with restaurants and shops around the corner. Bungalows are not high class by any means, but they give you what you need. They re fresh and everything works. Just make sure you close the door to not let the insects get in ;) Best thing about this place is the staff though, you always get help with what you need help with and they do look like they want to help cause they are nice, and not for money, such as it is in many other places in Thailand.

Очень хороший отель, расположен в самом центре пляжа Klong Dao. Сам пляж тоже хорош. Бунгало стоят в саду, очень зелено и красиво, тихо, комнатки чистые, ничего лишнего. Убирают если попросишь - система такая, сдал ключ на ресепшн, значит просишь убрать. Персонал очень приветливый. Не дорогой ресторан, пожалуй по соседству в отелях рестораны дороже. На улице, за отелем много заведений общепита, там еще дешевле, но придется сидеть у пыльной и оживленной дороги.

This place was disappointing.We had 2 bungalows booked one of which had a mouldy smell probably from the rotting roof timbers,which made it unpleasent to sleep in the room.The bed sheets were yellowed which made it hard to know how clean they were.Bathrooms poor drainage and ventilation. We were completely overcharged by taxi from pier to this nearby resort - be careful of price gouging. The resort is nice with nice grounds and nice restaurant and nice staff. Pool is OK. The beach here is not the best. Full of crabs and sand is icky brown. Stay farther down the island for nicer beaches. Everything on Khlong Dao is right on the water so just walk on the sand to find bars and restaurants. The main road is desolate and depressing.

This resort has a great location on the nice stretch of Klong Dao Beach. The staff were always pleasant. we found the restaurant mediocre and expensive for what you get. The room was VERY basic. The rooms are cleaned and clean towels are issued daily. There was no safe for our valuables. There are merely holes in the bathroom walls for ventilation instead of an extraction fan or similar. We had to burn mosquito coils in there each night to kill off the bugs and the smell. The air con was fine, not too much noise. I felt it was overpriced for the quality. The pool was clean but full of kids every day. The resort needs a makeover. Probably wouldn't stay here again as I now know there are cheaper places for better quality. The photos on siameservices are decieving.

We were very happy with our stay for the following reasons: the beach was magnificent, the location was great (15-min walk to town and pier), the staff were all so friendly, and the food was great. In terms of the room, this place is very basic, they only give you a sheet for a blanket and the shower drainage wasn't very good. If you don't mind something simple though I would highly recommended this place as the staff make it all worthwhile. Bring a sleeping-bag if you can so at least you'll have a blanket. :)

We really enjoyed our stay at the Lanta Island Resort. We had a standard room with a fan, which was absolutely fine and cool enough at this time of year. The room was basic, yet clean and comfortable. The pool area is good. The beach is very nice at this end of the bay which is a plus. The restaurant served great food, especially the Thai cuisine, and is reasonably priced. The waiters were friendly and helpful, especially if you made an attempt to speak Thai.

The hotel was great, and compared very well to many of the others on Khlong Dao (a great beach to stay on). There was lots of shady places to lie on the beach, as well as lots of places to take in the sun, and a great restaurant (although service is slow). We thouroughly enjoyed our time at the Lanta island resort! The bungalows are clean and lovely, all kept so by a friendly team of staff. The staff at the bar and restaurant also couldn't do enough to make you feel welcomed and relaxed. The locations is perfect, right on the beautiful Klong Dao beach, within easy reach of the Ban saladan town. All in all a perfect break, great setting, great facilties and super food!! Thank you one and all! Also enjoyed the company of the friendly little cats! Thanks!

Lanta Island Resort
Accommodation and facilities:
We stayed at Lanta Island Resort in May 07 - the off season so it was very quiet. We were the only people there so we had the whole place & the beach to ourselves! There were a few restaurants open nearby so that was OK. It was reminiscent of Koh Samui 20 years ago - I hope it stays this way, we loved it. Owners were very nice & we had lots of friendly cats to play with.

We ordered a beachwiew bungalow, but got a standard bungalow a bit from the beach. The owner promised us to get a beachwiew after 2 days, but som people decided to stay longer so we didn't get it anyway. The bungalow was ok enough, but it was no windows (at least not ordinary windows), so we felt a little strangeled . Thougt it was a petty that we didn't get what we were promised. Exept from dissapointing bungalow we found Lanta wery nice and really enjoyed our stay there. Next time i guess we will order a bungalow at another resort that can keep their promisses.

Nice and quiet place with a good restaurant. Owner is a friendly lady from the Ukraine. Bungalow was pretty new, clean and equipped with everything you need. Close to the beach plus own swimming pool. Only 5 to 10 minutes by taxi from the ferry pier.

Accommodation and facilities:
Lanta Island was the highlight of our trip. Bungalows were great for the price and location of the hotel was key. I recommend renting a scooter (you can rent from the hotel or get it quite a bit cheaper from other places) and traveling around the island.
