Very service minded, very clean and high water pressure in the shower. Good breakfast not big but OK. But not recommended for family with the Young children due to pool is massing otherwise is recommended (we ware therChristmas 2012)

Great location - Cross the road and you are virtually on the beach. 5 mins to Saladan where the harbour is. 1st Class service that you would only normally only find in 5 star hotel. Rooms spotless and very modern. Highly recommend.

It is a place with the best possible customer service. The rooms are really comfortable and nice. The only disadvantage is that there is no beach access. The beach is just across the street though. Just get a scooter and explore the island. Great breakfast.

standard hotel,clean,simple breakfast,free wifi,the boss Mr.Chai can give you some information.But the hotel is too small to relax,you d better rent a scooter drive to the south beach,such as klong nin,kantiang bay.

A very good hotel with excellent staff, friendly and helpful. The location is pretty good on the road, but only a hundred meters from the beach. The room is comfortable, spacious and very very clean. A great choice for a stay at this location

Don't be scared of roadside location and 150 meter to beach. This is a jewel! Rent a bike and the hole island is open for you. All of the hotel is perfectly clean, very good beds and everything working as intended. Every detail looked after by the Manager. Not to forget the breakfast served by the table (Thank you Mr Chieng, I hate Buffets..) We will be back!

Accommodation and facilities:
The Mermaid is the best hotel we have ever stayed in. The rooms are immaculate and stylish and cleaned every day. The white bed linen is so clean and fresh as are the towel they will also supply beach towels for you free of charge. The breakfast is fantastic but the most important thing is the welcome and service from Mr Chai and his staff who work incredibly hard to maintain such high standards. We had a wonderful Christmas and New Year staying at the Mermaid and will be back again.

More sea glimpses than sea views. On the main road to and from the ferry. Hotel was clean and comfortable. Just a short walk to the beach. The mountain view rooms (cheaper) might be a bit quieter as they are away from the main road.

Lanta Mermaid is a hidden jewel in Thailand. This place is clean and the staff very friendly and Chaain the manager is really helpful. We got on the wrong minivan when we left and he phoneand organise that we was pick up by the minivan to our destination and phone to confirm we are ok. This is extraordinary for Thailand. Don't miss this jewel the breakfast is very good and well presented. We will certainly visit this place again and recommend it to our friends

Me and my mother have been om a 3 weeks vacation and stayed at Lanta Mermaid Boutique House for six night. This was the best hotell under our vacation and the staff was the most kindness! Very familiar, and I would like to go back! It was the staff that maid the visit so very good, always a smile and a little talk. Only a walk for 2 min to get to the beach. We had a balcony with seaview it was great. The only negativ was the trafic on the road. On the other side nice to look at the people.. I really recommend this hotel!

Excellent customer service! We couldn't have been more pleased with our stay at the Lanta Mermaid - Chai, the manager, was extremely helpful and friendly. The rooms were lovely and very clean - a very modern style. The location is a very short walk to the beach. The breakfast was fresh and tasty. Free internet was terrific. Overall a great value and a pleasant surprise. We would highly, highly recommend the Lanta Mermaid.

A very good hotel that can be recommended. The hotel manager is extremly helpful and can arrange any activitites and bookings. Clean room. Nice bathroom. 200m from the beach. Very quiet beach even during the Christmas season. Very different from Patong beach in Phuket.

Wonderful gem of a hotel with elegant and stylish decor, large, well kept rooms and wonderful hospitality. The staff readily helped to suggest places of interest and negotiate tuk tuk fares. I wish I could have stayed longer...thoroughly recommended as beach is only 2 minutes walk across the road.
