Southern Lanta Resort is totally offers100 bungalows are nestled on 15 acres land of lush tropical gardens right on the beach at the middle of Klong Dao Beach, Koh Lanta with over 150 meters private beach front. Each bungalow set a few meters away from each others and particle by lush garden which make you feel close to nature and have enough privacy.
There are five type of bungalow set in different location all over the resort area, selective as beach front, surround the pool and among the lush tropical garden. Or select by the sizing as the Family House which contain two bedrooms and one living room

Very nice bungalow with partly seawiew. Balcony big enough for up to 6 peoples and cleaning was ok. The massage at the hotel is very good. Breakfast had an ok standard but could be better. Not enough sunbeds and though its not allowed to reserve sunbeds, other guests are still doing it. Therefore the hotel should take action to it.

Nice place. Big with many bungalows. Only swedish people. Only come here if you are with children. Very nice pool area but the restaurant is a bit boring. Walk down the beach and find some better places too eat. We moved on to Lanta Garden Home. A very nice place that is run by a nice thai family.

Arrived evening 11 Dec, hotel was in great location, stayed in spacious Superior Garden View bungalow, just 2 min walk to wonderful white sand beach, good for swimming & families with children, secure feeling, hired hotel's motorskooter to see the whole island. Take a worthwhile snorkeling package to Ko Rok. Food & shopping a bit pricey, otherwise Ko Lanta is a great place for a family holiday.

On the whole nice hotel with friendly staff. Only down side was a situation where I wasn't informed of changes and led to some stress which was not needed. Airconditioner and bathroom door needed maintenance. Otherwise pleasent place, quiet at night so could get a good night's rest when I wanted. On the beach. Place was kept very clean. Breakfast had a good selection and was included. The resturant staff were always friendly. Lots of young kids which do reduce the chance of being able to use the pool, but with the beach so close I d rather swim there anyway. Is walking distance to Saladan if needed. Well lit side street to the resort at night which was appreciated. Overall would consider staying here again and would recommend to others.

Vi tillbringade 10 nätter på Southern Lanta och är mycket nöjda! Trevlig och hjälpsam personal. Rent och fräscht på rummet och i området. Mycket bra poolområde, men både sol och skugga, och kul för barnen, med många lekkamrater. Bra frukostbuffé och superfin strand precis i anslutning till hotellområdet. Ett trevligt hotell mitt på den fina stranden och lagom avstånd till Saladan. Vi bodde med våra 2 barn i ett Family House. Det hade två stora sovrum med egna badrum samt ett mellanliggande rum. But something burned in the sea water, maybe very small jellyfishes or like said plankton.There is a posteron which it is written Jellyfish stings are painful . Not enough sunbeds. If you want to occupy sunbed, you should wake up at least at 6 a.m. Old furniture and towels in bungalow. There was not anything from mosquitos in bungalow. There are a lot of Swedish families with children, therefore at 10 p.m. very silently.

The service was great. The bungalow was nice and clean, we had some problem with the water volume in the shower but it was not a big problem. The resort was not like the big resort we stayed at in Phuket but it was OK to stay just for a few nights. The food at the beach restaurant was very tasteful ans so was the service.

We stayed for a week and really enjoyed it. The advertisement said sea view, but the front cottages actually had the sea view.The pool was beautiful but was taken over by the children so no chance of a swim here.The cottage was very spacious - beware of the mosquitoes!The staff at reception could have been friendlier. Breakfast was the same every day - no variety here.We ate at other restaurants as the prices for drinks at this one were too expensive.I would definately stay again but only out of season.

HORRIBLE! You came all the way to Lanta, why stay in a Swedish factory? 100% Swedish people, perhaps because the hotel is so bad, the visitors are so grumpy? Very crowded. They have condo buildings in the back. The most unfriendly staff we have experienced in Thailand. The rooms are dirty and tiny and we had a pool side bungalow! We had a mosqito nest right by our entrance with 1000 of them flying around. When we notified the front desk, they just shrugged their showlders so we left that place as soon as we could get out.

This was a lovely resort. If yot are travelling with children, the pool area is great and there are a lot of other kids as the swedish school is next to the hotel. We stayed in bungalows A11 and A12, they have a connecting door wich is great if you are 2 families travelling togehter. The bathroom are a bit shabby, but clean. The breakfast could have been better, but it's ok - so is the restaurant. If you want better and cheaper food, visit SiameServices or Sanuk restaurants across the main rd.

Accommodation and facilities:
Great location and a great deal--on May 1, the rates are less than half, so we splurged on the beach front rooms facing the Andaman Sea with stunning views of the sunset from our porch. Windows a bit drafty with gaps between them, but drapes that solved the problem. Few people so no problem with beach chairs. B fast basic, restaurant on the beach w/ big menu, plenty of other restaurants and bars on the beach. Pool small, but nice w/ slide and jacuzzi.

Accommodation and facilities:
The hotel held a magnificant standard and the bungalows too. We lived in bungalow with beach/sea wiev and it was really great. Bungalow E-01 - very good placement. The staff was very nice. Their poolarea included with breakfast/poolrestaurant was great. Even better was their restaurant down at the beach. Only one thing..Beware of the mosqitos at night. Be protected. One dinner at the beachrestaurants can be destroyed because of all bites from mosqitos. I sincerely recommend this hotel and we will come back again, maybe so soon as 2009. The place was so peacefull and we lived in harmony.

The hotel quite good and quiet. The facility is good compare to the other resort. When back out, this is the only place can provide electricity but the other resorts can not. For 1800 got standard room, I think too expensive, the bathroom should be more developed and also the blanket. This resort is suitable for family. bY Conclusion, it's the good place with good service. I am impressed.

This is a nice hotel. The staff is realy helpfull and friendly. Good lokation in the middle of Klong dao beach with everything neerby. The bungalows where clean and spacious and close to the beach. This is a place to reccomend!!

Accommodation and facilities:
Excellent place for children with a safe beach and Swedish School on site. To us this was the fundamental problem since it gave rise to a large number of young children from which there was no escape. It also meant breakfast was a salutary experience given this high level of droppings , not helped by staff less then diligent in cleaning up tables and floor. Room not well cleaned, a lot of ants and no telephone. There was also a lack of sun beds on the beach area. Front desk staff helpful, the rest seemed pretty depressed. Main pool not cleaned daily. As a general observation there is a lack of shade on the beach; some enterprising soul should establish a beach bed/sunshade service.

I finded this hotel very gut. I was in Lanta many times, I ve tried other hotels but I find Lanta Resort is the best that I ve tried. The hotel is on the Beach. There is a lot of northern familes in this hotel. I hardly recommand this hotel

It´s a very nice hotel, with tropical garden view and close to the beach. They had good breakfast and helpful staff. The only negative was the bad smell sometimes from the sewer.

Our overall impression of the resort was that it was bad maintained. The whole looked a little old and in our view need a big renovation. We had a superior beach view bungalow. The walls of the bungalow were full of unidentied spots, the toilet was leaking and caused a bad smell in the whole bungalow. The furniture looked old and used. We hadn't had such a bad breakfast buffet in a long time. Very basic. The hotel was loaded with Scaninavian tourists and that sets the atmosphere.Good points of Southern Lanta Resort: it is nice situated on the beachfront. As the breakfast was so bad, we did not dare to try the restaurant, although it has a nice beachview.

Ok standard on bungalow. Pool was not cleaned during our visit. So it was quite dirty. The restaurant was not he best. Felt like a school restaurant. Food was ok but not spectacular. Friendly staff & nice and clean garden. Would like to visit during high season.

Service where ok. The pool hade too much clor, the bikini lost colour and became 5 sizes bigger!. Moskitos in room. AC was noicy. Toilett did´nt work every day, but where fixed as soon as we asked for help. Good service.
