Accommodation and facilities:
We were a party of two grandparents, two parents and a 14-month old. The Long Bay Resort fitted our needs very well. The layout of the resort was generous with lots of well-kept grassy areas for the toddler to toddle in, and the beach-front was long, well-maintained and easily but not dangerously accessible. The pool & jacuzzi were excellent. The chalets were well maintained apart from very low water pressure in the showers which needs to be fixed. The staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant provided an adequate if not exciting breakfast. We ate in the evenings at a nearby restaurant on the beach. There is a 7-11 close by. Altogether we were very pleased with the Long Bay experience.

AMAZING - cannot recomend enough. Am just about to book for the third time. Went there a few years ago - and went back in March this year. Perfect location - not too busy - quiet. Loved it. Left after 5 days and went to Krabi. BIG Mistake! Hated it - packed with tourists - we left after a day and came back to Long Bay! heaven. Cannot wait to be back

We had the VIP room, the shower was broken and the jacuzzi was not up to speed it took about 2 hours to fill with cold water! Very friendly manager, the receptionist however was very bad at english and gave very bad service, the pool was great and the restrurant okay, however the location is stunning! The aircon in master bedroom was awesome, the one in living room sucked big time!

The resort has had its time, things could be newer. The staff was very friendly and tried to help, the pool clean, the BBQ at the beach is very romantic but a little bit expensive. The bundalows in the rows behind are quiet but tend to get hot because there is no wind. All in all the resort was good.

We had a wonderfull time at long bay the staff and management where very accomadating my husband has a disability although we had family with us if they werent around the saff were there to help the rooms were cleaned everyday towels and sheets.In the end it was sad to leave as you felt you were leaving your own family thats how beautifull they are Hilary

We had an experience whilst in Thailand and got stuck on an island, The manager of this resort Paul and his staff went above all and organised a rescue for 30 people and the staff prepaired hot drinks and waited up till 3am to make sure all were ok. Can not fault this resort and reccomend it to all. Paul you were amazing and run your buisness to perfection. All resort and kitchen staff ready to help and at your every need. Go check it out awsome just dont do a boat cruise through the company in Koh Phangan choose another adventure

en helt underbar resort,på en av de absolut finaste stränderna på Pangnan.vi bodde i 2 st std bungalow (nr5,6),de var väldigt rymliga och mkt välstädade endast 20 meter från poolen.på minuslistan måste köket hamna dom fick inte till våra beställningar en enda gång under en veckas tid(åt på flera andra ställen längs stranden både lunch o kväll fanns många betydligt bättre matställen).GALADINNERN på julaftonen var en gigantisk flopp....inte ens ett glas vin till maten för 2400bht, skärp er!!!!vi älskade detta ställe och kommer med all sakerhet att komma tillbaka.anniki andersson o johan karlberg

Location of the resort is excellent. Nice beach for snorkling. We have booked a sea side bungalow. Pricewise much too expensive, small room, no space for the clothes, bathroom very poor and hot without air condition. A standard bungalow which also is not far away from the beach but much cheaper, would do it as well. Breakfast more or less ok, not a huge variety, an egg cooking station but no fresh juice and every day the same things. Will try a different resort when we come back next time.

Compared to what we payed at another resort, we were a bit disapointed when we saw the bungalow, however the fantastic location with a beautiful green area and the prettiest beach we saw in all thailand, it was all worth it and we would definitely recommend staying there!! The restaurant was also a treat, nice staff and great food.

Long Bay has a great location on Haad yao Beach and the pool is lovely. The food is below average - inedible in some cases. The New years eve gala dinner was a joke for the 2500 THB paid. The service is friendly but unreliable. Only one person could understand english. The entertainment [two elderly thais with guitars and a drum machine] was cringe worthy. The bar and restaurant are always empty in the evening becuase the music they play is so bad and the food + service are under par. By all means stay here but dine + drink elsewhere. We had junior suite which was clean but very basic + over priced.

Nice hotel at the beach with a clean and nice pool. Even if the staff is friendly, they have a lot to learn. Maybe they should rake the beach like the other hotels do. We had a big cockroach in the bathroom, and the staff in the reception first didnt understand, then she said that they will look at it tomorrow. We stayed in a nice small bungalow with AC, and I think we will come back.

We (= family with 2 adults and 2 children) booked a pay for 5 nights and get 7 promotion package at Long Bay, but we actually ended up staying 9 days at the resort. Long Bay Resort has - in our opinion - the best location on Haad Yao and the facilities are all you can expect: a beautiful beach with great snorkling options just outside the hotel once you get beyond the first reef (swimming can be dificult on some times of the day depending on the tide, though). Nice and clean bungalows, a great swimming pool and okay food served by a very friendly and helpful staff. If you want more dining options, cheaper meals can be found at some of the other resorts along the bay. Our children loved this place. All in all, a true paradise! We wouldn't hesitate to go back there at all. Our only complaint was that the safety deposit box in our bungalow was broken.

The hotel was very pleasant. The people at the front office were always most helpful with fulfilling our needs. The room was very comfortable, clean, efficient and quite. The gardens around each bungalow were beautiful. Our only complaint was that the cable TV was lacking for variety, only four channels to choose from. The beach was beautiful, but this time of year the water is too low for swimming until late in the evening. All in all, a very enjoyable stay

It´s the second time we stay here and it´s a very nice hotel next to beach.we stayed in a standard bungalow and it was ok, little smaller then last time and the floor sounded as it will break,but clean and a big veranda to sit on outside. Friendly staff speciel at the restaurant.All guests at hotel had 30% off on all food and drinks so it was good price to eat there.Good food but not so much to choose if you not want the seafood.Pool area is beautiful with a big pool and separate jacuzzi.This time the water in sea was higher so you could take a swim there too. Perfect relaxing place,we will be back!

Nice hotel, comfortable bungalows but I did not see, when I arrived by night, that it was closed to a building; therefore I was wake up by the motors noise at 6am. The beach has no sand and with the rocks it's not possible to swim. Perhaps this place is better during the november/may period where the tides are different. Nice staff otherwise, nice garden but poor breakfast with no fresh juice available.

Перед поездкой узнавайте поподробнее, там действуют скидки - 7 ночей по цене 5. Можно за запланированный бюджет жить в номере с более хорошими удобствами. В каждом номере кондиционер. В джуниоре нет холодильников и телевизоров. Все понравилось, приятного путешествия

Although we were unlucky with the weather, three days of rain, we can't blmae that on Long Bay Resort. The place is just a few meters from the beach, so you can choose a bungalow of any kind here. The pool area is also nice, just in the middle of things. The restaurant has a nice and helpful staff; sure, it took a while to get the food, but that was not a big problem. We picked the wrong dates weatherwise, but we still had a pleasant stay there. There were only around ten guests, so it's hard to say what the service level would have been if fully booked. We got a bungalow wthout a safe, asked if we could change, got a new one in ten minutes, so they were very helpful. It's tricky to walk along the beach to other restaurants if the sea's not calm, so you can be kind of stuck there. Once again not a big issue. In general a nice place. Number of cockroaches in the bungalow? Only one during our three day stay, so that's alright as well, I guess...

Vom Ersten Eindruck von der Strasse her sollte man sich nicht täuschen lassen, das Resort ist einfach klasse. Wir hatten einen DeLuxe-Bungalow direkt am Strand. Alles schön und sauber, nur unser Badezimmer war nicht mehr ganz neu. Auch wenn es am Haad Yao sicherlich günstigere Zimmer gibt, ist diese Anlage seinen Preis wert. Am Besten lässt man sich vom Resort an der Fähre abholen, denn auf der Insel gibt es keine normalen Taxis und die Pick Up's die dort auf Touristen warten, haben versucht uns abzuzocken.

Das Hotel ist in Ordnung, die Zimmer sind nüchtern eingerichtet, die Bäder zu gebrauchen aber nicht wirklich schön. Es war sauber und freundliche. Die Anlage ist sehr schön angelegt. Die Long-Bay ist etwas langweilig hier herrscht noch das Reggea Fiber von vor 15 Jahren. Das Meer ist super toll zum schnorcheln aber Badeschuhe sind pflicht.Die Junior Zimmer sind eng und klein besser ist ein Standard Haus. Alles in allem war es schön .

Located on a beautiful beach in Haad Yao, about 15 minutes from the ferryport, Long Bay Resort was a good choice for us. The rooms are a little dated now but spotlessly clean and comfortable. All the staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and efficient. Good breakfast with a buffet and an egg station where your eggs are cooked any style to your taste. The reception area does ressemble a petrol filling station though!

Our vacation in Long Bay was like a dream coming true. There was a free pick up from the pier. The resort is a paradise on earth and our sea facing cottage was in a cornet, just a few steps away from the sea. The room was cosy and romantically decorated with all amenities. There was no telephone in the room which in a way was good... The food was great, the pool was lovely, the staff cleaned the room everyday.. no complaint. the staff at reception were very helpful and provided us assistance with whatever we needed. I recommend long bay to everyone who wants a peaceful and relaxing vacation.

Whole resort was perfect, just what we were looking for. Hotel staff cannot be more friendly and helpful, ideal place for families and couples as the actual resort is pretty quiet but if you want to party you just have to walk 2 minutes along the beach and you can party all night. Would definitley visit again and would recommend to anyone.

we stayed in a beachfront deluxe villa which was quite large and well appointed and right on the beach. Staff were very friendly and the breakfast was great. Pool area was also excellent.We had expected it to be a bit quieter though. Our villa was at one end of the resort and there was a restaurant nearby (not part of the hotel)which played loud music until around 11pm every night. The first night we had to tell them to turn it off because it was too loud, thereafter they didn't have it as loud but it was annoying especially since we had paid for the most expensive room. We ate dinner once at the hotel and the food was alright but the cocktails truly awful. There are plenty of other restaurants up and down the beach which are better and slightly cheaper. Although the resort was really quite nice I probably wouldn't stay here again as we prefer a quieter location and there were other hotels at the other end of the beach which were cheaper with rooms just as good if not better.

The Long Bay Resort is a very pleasant place with a familiar and relaxed atmosphere! The staff are very friekndly too, but there was some problems with the language and the cleaning of the bungalows. Be prepared that the time from you order your food till you get it is quite long. But the food is absolutely excellent! Long Bay is a nice and quiet place, and in the evenings the beachfront is transformed into a romantic and pretty eating place. When we stayed here we were a family with 2 children, and we highly recommend the Long Bay Resort!

We came to Thailand for two weeks. We stayed at Long Bay for the first week and then moved Islands and checked into a more expensive one - but i wish we had stayed longer! We d never been to Thailand before - so we didnt know what to expect. I m so pleased we started at Long Bay. The resort is perfectly located on the beach - you couldnt get any closer. Theres pool as well. Amazing food - really affordable. We lived off fresh Coconut shakes and seafood caught earlier that day. Massages on the beach, local food stores near by, other resorts/restaurants on the same stretch of beach that also serve tasty food, cash point at the top of the road. Most of these other resorts cook fresh fish on BBQ's on the beach in the evening as the sun goes down. The staff at Long Bay were nice as well - friendly and helpful, without being too much. Do not hesitate: book here. there's no way you wont enjoy it. Get one of the Huts on the beach - the best! Steve

I would defiantly shop around for other hotels if you would like to stay on this part of the Island. We found several other hotels of a much higher standard at a much better price, but only once we were there. The reception staff are generally unhelpful and unfriendly. The overpriced new year’s eve dinner was an absolute flop with only 5 guests remaining there after 10pm, it then became a staff party as all the guests left before the new year came in. In conclusion, value for money and quality you can do much much better!

We were family of 4 (2 adults and 2 childrens >> age: 6 and 3). We stayed at standard room (it is a seperated bugalow) and payed for an extra bed (we recieved a wide mattress on the floor >> which was very good for us). the room is very good (big enough). the stuff is very friendly. there are variety of resturants on the beach near the hotel. the hotel resturants is very good and prices are fair. We were dissapointed from the breakfast (very poor >> no variety) and especisally diassapointed from the swimming pool (was very very very dirty >> color was green and you could not see even one centimeter inside the water. Our 2 children which like swimming pools, refused to get inside (they was even afraid). After asking the stuff they told us that it is OK in this area (because of dust), which seems not true because we saw 2 other hotels in Haad Yao which were perfect. But if I have to give a total number for the hotel, I would give the number 8 out of 10

Unfortunately I cannot recommend that resort at all. Positive: Very nice location at a quiet beach on Ko Phangan. Nice rooms with reasonable equipment. But thats already everything. negative: - The poolwater was green and pumped with chemicals. Over one week it was not useable and the only action they did was to pump even more chemicals in it. Even when the first guests ( also children)came with skin irritations the General Manager did not change anything and he did also not close the pool. - Breakfast was very poor. Eggs ALWAYS cold, buffet always empty etc. - Staff was very slowly ( waiting for a drink usually 20min) - Menu card was poor and the meals shown often were not availeable. - Staff was desinterested, and when I claimed that my Banana Pancake had no banana in it - they answered that that would be hidden !!?? - Staff did speak english very poor and even to rent a motorbike was not possible. Finally I walked along the beach to rent one. - Cleaning the bungalows was also poor. Within one week they did not change our bed sheets. - After our visit we missed one silver ring ( no comment ) Some readers might think now that Thai mentality is different. But you can believe me . I was in Thailand for the 11th time and I know what Thai mentality is - That was not Thai mentality that was LONG Bay mentality. Definitely that service and that location is not worth 2000 baht or more. If you do not need the pool ( which is not useable ) walk 50 meter away and you get cheaper rooms with better food and good service provided by smiling and helpful Thais.But do NOT book long bay resort.

On an ideal part of the beach (which is stunning) resort is nice but we had a bit of a dodgy bathroom with regular visits from geckos! Our room did back onto the jungle and was very noisy at night time with what we thought was a parrot that lived outside our bathroom window! Other than that the pool and restaurant were very good and staff friendsly and helpful! Rooms clean! Would recommend a visit - but maybe take some earplugs!

Stayed in standard bungalows for 2000baht, lot of space for 2 persons, low prices in minibar- The bathroom was a bit smelly and the pressure in shower was low. Cleaning was good too. The breakfastbuffe was very poor. There was always something missing and when the omelletts finaly arrived there was only 2 of them so you have to be quick to the table, it was the same with the fruit and other things. The service at the restaurant was overall a bit slow, low prices compared with restaurants on Koh Samui but there was a lot of good even cheaper restaurants along the beach. The location is very nice at the beautiful Had Yao beach. Overall we liked the place very much.

Les bungalows standards sont très bien, le resort est vraiment au bord de la plage, le site est beau. Mon seul bémol est le restaurant, surtout le barbecue le soir.

Very large and beautiful resort with nice gardens and good bunglows. The staff are friendly and helpful. The pool is great. No english TV channels in the room, only in the restaurant. The New Years eve gala was 2500b, too expensive; the food and entertainment were great but the worst MC in the history of Asia. There were only 3 people watching at 9:30pm, this is a New Year's party? Anyway, this resort has excellent rooms and great managers/staff. I would stay here again.

Excellent! Easy to use reservation system. We were late arriving because of flight delays but Ms.Ploy called the resort several times to make sure they kept the room for us. I will use this website again!

The hotel was absolutely lovely, the rooms were of a high standard and the staff very friendly. The breakfasts needed improving but apart from that just perfect.
