superbe hotel bati sur le flanc d une colline en surplomb de la mer et tres bien intégré dans la nature. Beaux jardins et espaces verts. Nous avions réservé un bungalow de luxe avec vue sur mer et la prestation était égale à notre attente. Magnifique piscine a débordement avec vue sur mer. L accés à cet hotel est un peu difficile depuis le port (route à l état de piste) mais tranquilité garantie. Nombreux petits restaurants Thai à proximité délicieux et pas chers.

Super Hotel! Wir hatten eine Family Villa, war sehr toll! Überhaupt alles in diesem Hotel hat uns sehr gut gefallen!!! Toller Pool, toller Strand, Spitzenpersonal!!! Einzig die Bierpreise im Resort sind nicht zu verstehen. Man bezahlt für ein kl. Singha 140.-Bath, ausserhalb der Hotels überall 50,. - 70.-!!!

Me and my wife had 5 nights here for our honeymoon and it was amazing! Worth the journey to get there. Staff were so friendly, location is stunning, room (spa villa which we were upgraded to free of charge from a deluxe villa) was incredible. Great peaceful location overlooking the bay. Great food (especially breakfast) and a short walk down the beach to the village. Couldn't have been better.

Dissapointed! First, the swimming pool was out of order. Water was green and really disgusting. Now these things can happen, so if they do, a small compensation from the hotel would be appreciated (eg free bottle of wine, or a free meal, or a free spa treatment whatever but here - nothing!!). Second: the beach. Next to the beach there runs a stream but basically this is a sewer. Really disgusting! We had dinner on the beach and visited the Rasananda resort which is REALLY nice. I strongly suggest booking either the Rasananda or the Santhiya. On a positive note: the staff were very friendly and polite.

Although a bit far from everything else, Panviman Resort is in one of the best locations in Koh Phangan to rest and relax. Its pools, rooms and facilities are by far one of the best I had seen, and staff are very hospitable. It is up a large hill which was hard to walk up, but gave great views on the beach and sea below. I highly recommend this resort for couples wanting to spoil themselves in luxury, and being far away from all the troubles of busy cities.

To stay at this hotel you must love the quiet romantic beauty that would see you isolated from the rest of the island. We stayed here two nights to get away from it all and Thong Nai Pan is very beautiful. This hotel is situated on the top of the cliffside and naturally, there are a few steps to climb and a steep hillside to walk most places. I enjoyed it because all I had been eating for days was bacon and egg breakfasts! This hotel offers free taxi to and from the main town (some cab drivers wanted 1500Bt to drive to Thong Nai Pan one way due to its remoteness) and free internet. The value for money was definately there given this hotel is fairly expensive. I would recommend for a few days but not a long stay. You can't beat the beauty of Thong Nai Pan and getting there on the island's mountainside roads is truely an adventure.

Great hotel and fantastic location - certainly the best value for money (we had a Superior room) during our two week trip to Thailand. If you want to escape the frenzy of Koh Samui, then head for Koh Phangan and the Panviman. Beautiful setting on a headland overlooking two great beaches. Yes, the road is a little rough getting there (50 mins. from the port) but the relative seclusion and outstanding natural beauty of the setting more than make up for it. We particularly liked the pool area and the beach at Nai Pan Noi - good swimming (unlike much of the west coast of Koh Phangan) and several beachside restaurants/bars to choose from for lunch/dinner. Food at the hotel was fine, though being a four star, was obviously quite a bit more expensive than down on the beach. Breakfast - an excellent buffet. Overall, excellent rapport qualite prix as the French say (basically value for money). We would highly recommend the Panviman to all those planning a trip to the Samui archipelago.

The resort is really the nicest place I saw in Thailand. The prise you pay is worth the place you stay. Next time i would go there for a longer time than two nights, because the trip to the hotel is not so easy. The stuff is good, helpful, but the english isn´t better than at a cheaper hotel.

Absolutely fantastic. Great beach, pool and rooms, we had a familly cottage which worked well for two adults and two children. Views were spectacular. Lots of cheaper restaurants within walking distance along beach. The ride across from the port is a bit rough - however part of getting away. I would also recommend booking the speed boat to get you from Koh samui - more expensive but will save you half a day and is a great way to travel. Staff were particulaly friendly. If we return to Koh Phangan we will ceratinly stay ia the Panviman.

I went to the hotel for my honeymoon, it is n hour and half away from anywhere, very remote so not easy to get around. The hotel itself is beautiful and the room was very nice. However i have to complain bitterly about the customer service. They have a wooden walkway from hotel to beach that is not lit at night and has no side rails. My husband tripped and fell over the side landing 4m below on rocks. It was pitch black and he was badly hurt. The next morning i went to reception for help and they didnt want to know. They wanted to charge me 1600bhat to take him to the dr, wldnt let me see the manager and refused to move us to a lower level room, as we were up a very steep hill, he struggled to leave our room. We had to check out a day early and they werent even interested to know why. Im not saying they should accept responsibility but steps should be made to make the walkway safer and they should have been more helpful with the whole situation. An absolute let down.

This is paradise on earth! Everything is just excellent: rooms, facilities, food, stunning views and nature. But... many many stairs to be climbed, so certainly impossible for people that are not very fit or disabled, and the resort is also a bit secluded; the nearby village has some shops, bars and resto's but that's it, unless you rent a bike or car and indulge yourself in some jungle trip! Overall, the Panviman is probably the best resort we ve ever had, definitely not cheap but you certainly get a lot back for your money!

We crossed the island in a minibus taking us on a nice jungle road to Panviman at the north-east bay of Koh Phangan. Our intentions were to visit a luxurious and beautifully located resort - and we were not disappointed. Everything was perfect! Our bungalow was excellent. Large, private and with our own second floor terrace with sunbeds and outdoor bathtop. Some 10 min. walk from our bungalow, we had access to a very nice beach or to the large pool fascilities. The place can however not be recommended to elderly people or walking impaired people. Extremely nice staff, extraordinary breakfast and dining restaurants in an alltogether wonderful place.

Hôtel en tout point de vue exceptionnel. L architecture des bâtiments,'s apparente à des lodges adaptés au style thaïe. Les chambres en hauteur au milieu des arbres offrent une vue grandiose sur un ensemble, végétation, piscine et mer. L arrivée de nuit après 1h30 de 4X4 dans la jungle sur des routes non goudronnées à la limite du praticable est un moment d aventure mémorable. Il est à noter qu un véhicule de l hôtel vient vous chercher et vous ramène à l embarcadère gracieusement. Le petit déjeuner est excellent. Le personnel est d une gentillesse extrême.

We loved our time at Panviman. The staff was great, the pools were gorgeous, our cottage was really beautiful: very spacious and decorated really well. The TV had tons of English programming. The AC worked well. The bathroom was gorgeous. The restaurants were good, too. Probably our only complaint was the long walk up the hill to our cottage - it left us sweaty every time. We would have liked to have been closer to the beach. After our 5 nights at Panviman we moved down to a cottage on the beach at Star Huts and for 1/4th the price, we liked it just as well, because of the location. However, it was a much different experience from Panviman. If you want a 5 star experience, go to Panviman. If you want to just hang out on the beach, rent a hut on the beach.

Paradise! The drive to the hotel from Thong Sala was a bit of an adventure but it really felt like you were getting away from it all. Great resort, food, views and rooms. We had been worried about it being expensive to eat there when we read reviews on this site but main course meals were about £3 and beer around £1 for a large bottle. The nearby village is easily accessible

What a setting, we arrived and I felt emotional, the views were fantastic from all angles!! The infinity pool is fab and it's well worth heading down to the beach. Breakfast was good and with so much choice. Cannot really comment on the evening/lunch menus/service as we spent our days on the beach eating lunch and dinner at the restaurants nestled on the beach. We stayed over Christmas and the gala dinner on Christmas Eve was fantastic, with a santa claus, thai boxing and thai dancing !! We would definately return here again. Well worth the tiring journey up the basic roads (good fun). Takes approx 1 hour from the port(south of the island)to the hotel. Paradise found..

The easiest way to Panviman Resort is by Bangkok Airways and Thai Airways stopped at Koh Samui Airport and then takes Lomprayah high-speed Catamaran at Maenam pier or takes Seatran Discovery at Bangrak pier to Thong Sala pier at Koh Phangan, Otherwise we have join daily Speed boat directly to Panviman Resort.
Alternatively, you can choose the access by Government Bus from Bangkok to Koh Phangan directly or takes overnight train stopped at Suratthani province, then takes a ferry of Songserm Express at Tha Thong pier or takes Raja Ferry at Ferry Donsak pier.
