Very conveniant bungalow for family : with connected rooms. Very closed to the beach which is also very nice. Restaurant not tested as we prefered to eat on the beach. Unfortunality need to pay for any service : toilet paper, wi-fi... We spent 3 good nights at this hotel.

Smile beach is a real good name because there are always smilling and they try to communicate (I m french and my english is medium). They re location is good, not on the beach (100m) so nobody walk in front... If i go back to Pha Ngan, I'll choose this bungalows again.

We stayed for 2 nights, the staff were lovely and helped us out when we booked a bogus fishing trip and recovered our money. The rooms we cheap for air con and were clean, set in a beautiful garden and only 1 minute walk to beach, also lovely!

Hatten im Family Lux. Bungalow in der ersten Nacht 6 Kakarlaken (1 im Bad, 2 im Vorraum und 3 in einem der Schlafzimmer). Jemand vom Team ist jedoch um 23 Uhr noch gekommen, um alles einzusprayen und die Räume abzusuchen. Am nächsten Tag dann nochmals. Hatten danach keine Tiere mehr. In Thailand kann dies passieren, die Reaktion des Teams war hervorragend. Für den Preis kann ich das Smile Beach Resort nur empfehlen. Der Garten ist sehr gepflegt und das Team sehr freundlich. War unser zweiter Aufenthalt dort.

We rented the Family Deluxe Air-Con Bungalow--two rooms, two bath separated by a kitchenette. It was perfect for our family. We liked the wood frame and trees. We had to ask for the room to be cleaned/changed, but the housekeeping staff did it quickly and happily. The sheets and towels are low quality. The fans, new A/C, refrigerator and bathrooms worked perfectly. We liked being off the beach in a nice quiet courtyard. The food was also affordable compared to restaurants on the beach. I would not recommend the travel services though--not very knowledgable. The owner and son are very sweet.

This was a really great place to stay. Only a 2 minute walk from the beach. The bungalows are pretty basic, but nice overall. Haad Salad is a very nice beach. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. WARNING: If you stay here, DO NOT rent a motorbike from Haad Salad Shop & Travel OR Haad Salad Travel. If you put 1 small scratch in it they will charge you $US 600. There is no way out of it either, as they hold your passport. We were told that this happens at least 3 times a week to tourists. The best thing to do is NOT rent a motorbike. If you absolutely must rent one, we were told that Haad Salad Villa was a good place to rent from.

Beautiful huts and gardens with really lovely staff. This resort was relaxing and very child friendly, with just a short walk to the beach, which was just paradise. The restaurant was really good and value for money. Staff couldn't do enough to make our time there great. My children are still talking about Myo! Will definately return here. Only thing that would make Smile Beach better would be a swimming pool!

Very nice place. We stayed ther for 17 nights. The staff was very helpful and service minded. The bungalows was nice and clean and situated in a nice garden, near to the beach. The restaurant has extremely good food, their chef manages to cook both traditional Thaifood and western style food deliciously. We will certainly return if we travel in this region of the world again.

Both myself and my boyfriend had a great time in the Smile Beach Resort. We ended up staying an extra 2 nights. The guys in the restaurant certainley made us some great Thai food. The Bungalows are great, with a nice decking area to chill on. A stones through away from a very nice, quiet, shallow beach. Definatly reccomened this as part of your trip.

Cute bungalows with nice decks and great location - only about 2 minute walk to haad salad beach. but, not the cleanest place. we stayed for 6 nights and they did not come to clean our place once - no taking out the trash, no replacing the toilet paper, no sweeping - nothing. if they want you to throw toilet paper in the trash instead of flushing it, they should at least take the trash out and if they are not going to sweep, they should leave a broom in there for you to sweep yourselves. i probably would not stay there again, but we still had a great time. the beach is beautiful and has great snorkeling.

Nice resort set back from the beach but not too far. Staff are good and friendly and it has all the facilities that you need. All the chalets are wooden constructions but with air con and showers along with your own balcony and hammock. Quiet area with only 4-5 places to eat and drink but a few more behind the resort. A nice place to chill out away from the crowds.

Smile Beach Resort is a relaxing and laid back resort. The rooms are furnished simply with beds, aircon, fan, a small safety box, and a bathroom with a bath tub. The resort also has an internet cafe and a restaurant. You can easily walk around the whole area as the resort is not very big. In fact, it is very cozy. The Thai lanai structures give the resort a distinctive flair when compared to neighboring resorts. The restaurant offers a wide variety of food, snacks, and drinks that are sure to satisfy every palette. We d definitely go back to Smile Beach Resort. The wonderful place and awesome service made our stay memorable.

Smile Beach Resort is a wonderful place. The setting of the whole resort was quite relaxing, the staff were friendly, the service was good, and the food they served is also delicious. This resort is ran by a family of four and their staff, so the setting is informal and friendly, we even played frisbee with Tom, the restaurant manager. We will definitely stay at this resort again. Tips to other travelers: 1. Book the resort's transfer service to and from the pier because it's cheaper (we didn't do that and ended up paying twice the amount). 2. Buy your necessities such as drinking water (the resort doesn't provide them), sunblock and cooling lotion at the Thongsala town as the stores near the resorts charge twice the amount too. 3. Don't forget to try out the night market food stalls in Thongsala town. Enjoy your stay as we did!

We had very pleasant time staying at the resort. BTW – after seeing the place we decided to stay two nights more. We ordered standard bungalow which was very clean and nice. The only disadvantage (from my point of view) is TV absence from room. Resorts stuff is something great – they are very nice, warm people, which are ready to help and give you they best. Not less important – surroundings of the bungalows and their outside appearance is nice. Bottom line - great value for the money.

This is the best place we stayed in Thailand. It only opened a few months ago, so everything is very clean and new, the pictures on the homepage do not lie as they do many other places. Staff is great (family owned), maybe not so used to turists yet, but very charming. The Thai food in the restaurant is cheap and good. The beach is the best beach in the area and offers both swimming, snorkling, kayaking aso. Quiet beach and town. I d stay here if I was going back without a doubt.

We stayed in Smile Beach Resort in Haad Salad over new years of this year and have to say it was one of the most enjoyable experiences of our trip. We arrived out our bungalows not expecting much because of the small price we paid for them a night and were greeted to really lovely looking bungalows in a nice setting...the best bit being the hammock strung up in each bungalow...very relaxing! We also didnt expect the beach to be as beautiful as it was...one of the nicest beaches we went to on our visit to Thailand. It was a picturesque little beach, not that crowded which was good with very clear blue water. The resturants and bars surrounding it were very nice too and served great food as did Smile Beach Resorts restaurant...we seemed to be the only ones in it most of the time so food was efficient and good. There was a pool table and everything in the restaurant so had a few games with the people behind the bar...very nice people that work there who also take u into town for full moon party, new years etc if u need it. It was def one of the best places ive ever stayed and cant wait to go back as with the rest of the group that went.
