Beautiful location but very expensive with the extras. Wifi 4.50 USD an hour. The location has you trapped eating with their services and food not worth the high prices. Plan on spending more than what you paid for the room each day. Staff not receptive to your needs and unfriendly. We left a day early highly disapointed. Stayed previously at Bay View Resort and now we know where to return. Good rates and location.

The hotel was very nice and the property was well maintained. They provided kayaks, snorkling, life jackets and movies, free of charge. However, the beach area was quite limited and there was not much to see snorkling. Next trip, we will just stay in Krabbi (better priced) and do day trips to Phi Phi.

If you want to do any sort of shopping or pubing while on phi phi this hotel isn’t for you, it cost us about $35 australian to get a taxi boat return from the resort into the main bit of Phi Phi. If you have already done the shopping pub thing in Thailand and just want to relax this DEFFINETLY is the resort for you. We just snorkled, kayaked and had a nice relaxing time up the top of phi phi, it is beautiful. I think its good to get away from the hustle of the main towns on your trip if you can. And spend a few days just with the beach and the pool. The resort is nice but the pools aren’t anything special I didn’t think.

A great resort to stay a couple of nights. We stayed in a garden bungalow and is was good. If you want a beachfront bungalow, in mine opinion it's not worth the extra money that you have to pay for it. It's not directly on the beach anyway. The service is great and also is their breakfast. It's a buffet and they have a great variety of food. The food at the restaurant is good, but the a la carte menu is small I think, so after a couple of days you get bored with the menu. But at the beach there are some other restaurants you can try. We had a couple of massages at an other resort on the beach, Phi Phi Erawan. The massages are great, cheap, and directly on the beach so you have a great view. Go for a romantic private dinner on the beach. Great surroundings and food. We'll come back here!

On arrival we had a beautiful welcome back floral display on our bed, people say that it,s not 5 star but they charge 5 star prices we have travelled a lot and there is nowhere else like it we will gladly pay to stay here it is a fantastic place the staff at the resort are always helpfull.Plenty of places to eat along the beach we found the Sea Gypsies had great food and cheap followed by the Jasmin. Location quiet but what an awsome place can,t wait for next year.

We stayed at the hotel for 8 days in January 2010. The location, food, beach and staff are fantastic. Bamboo Island, Mosquito Island and Hin Klang are just a couple of minutes away with a longtail that you can get from the beach at any time. Fantastic for snorkeling, relaxation and good food. However, at night, there is not much to do other than hanging around at the bar or take a walk on the beach to some of the restaurants by the gypsy village, og some of the other resorts on the beach, so if you are looking for a place to party, this is not it. The bars/restaurants are expensive, but very good. The shop is very expensive, and has very small selection of things. I would recommend to bring all the sunlotion etc before you arrive. Beer and softdrinks etc, are under half the price if you go for shopping in Tonsai. The rooms could need some improvement, but I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a relaxing wonderful time in tropical surroundings.

Well, it's a wonderful place, just go there and have a great holiday! The location and hotel is very nice. I would like to say one important thing about food. Breakfast as everybody writes is good, it's true, a few words about dinner, try a local restaraunt, it's called Gypsy Village (or something like that), maybe it doesn't look very presentable, but it's realy tasty there!!! Just go to the beach then turn left and you'll see it!

This is a family resort, and a bit low quality compared to others Holiday Inns. No tv, bungalows low on accessories. Staff was very helpful, but food and resort is way overpriced! Breakfast is good, but a la carte dinner is awful. I ordered a pizza, and i got a one from freezer!! Beach and sunset bar is nice, but rest could be better.

My husband, myself and two children ages 2 and 4 years stayed here for four nights. 10-13 January 2009. Our experienced was mixed, and on the whole we enjoyed our stay, as the location is wonderful, lovely beach, very relaxing and the fqacilities for us as a family wiht young children suited us - i.e. accommodation on low level and good pool (despite the pool turning our swimwear yellow). Downside:- In our opinion the rooms are over priced for what you get, i.e. not 4 star accommodation by any means. Things such as the towels are a bit worn and the showers have a shabby old curtain, and the rooms are a bit tired. Having said that the accommodation is spotlessly clean and it was comfortable asnd very peaceful. The food in the restaurant is also not really up to scratch, so I would recommend eating next door a the Gypsy Village restaurant - Jasmine s, great view and great food and much cheapr than the hotel due to lack of excessive service charges. (They do set a small service cahrge and this goes towards the maintenance of the local school. There are also no TV's in the rooms - not a great problem, but when you are trying to give the kids some down time, it would have been a good accessory to have. However, after painting a bit of a gloomy picture, I would go there again as the location is wonderful and once you get to know the other parts of Phi Phi - this is great. Staff are also quite helpful.

Stayed here 3 days, location is on the east site of the island, therefore you need a longtail boat from tonsai bay (where the ferry arrives) to get to the hotel, cost about 700 THB one way (low season). Stayed in a garden villa which was nice and clean. The breakfast buffet is perfect, a large variety of food. For dinner we went to the gipsy village which is next door, good food for a good price. Despite the hotel is on the other site if the island and thus away from the restaurants and shops at Tonsat Bay, we would return to holiday inn again.

The hotel is beautiful and all the staff are helpful except one guy on reception. The breakfast is excellent but as this is our 4th time here we are still disappointed with the evening meals so we ate at the beach resturants, we love the location it is very quiet, the beach is well kept and quiet, the rooms are comfortable with no TV which suited me. The snorkelling and diving are fantastic. Services supplied by the Holiday Inn are over priced, we booked a limosine from the airport to the ferry from the Holidat Inn office in Phuket airport it cost TB450 which is reasonable and the lady was very helpful however when we wanted to book a limo from the ferry to the airport through the hotel reception they wanted TB 1,500 which is not at all reasonable and when I questioned it was told by the guy on reception that This is the hotel price if you don't like it book one yourself which we did a lot cheaper. It is the same for the longtail boats the same boat that the hotel uses is a lot cheaper from the owner and not the hotel. But still a great holiday destination and we will be back in a few months

Lovely place, nice cabin, great buffet. Staff were all friendly and helpful. I was surprised to see reef and beautiful parrot fish, angel fish, spiky black anenomes and even an eel right there within the swimming nets on the beach directly in front of the hotel. Even better snorkelling just 20 mins by long boat at Mosquito Island. Sitting on the decking at the bar with the sea lapping at the edge of the deck just 2 metres away was just great. The beach was never crowded, just lovely.

Fantastic beach! At low tide, we were able to walk about 200m out and still be about chest deep. There were lots of fish for snorkling and a marked area for swimming (away from the longboats and speedboats). Food was reasonably priced and we took avantage of the 3 happy hours of the day.Our bungalow was supposedly seaview but we could only see the beach if we stood in a corner and looked between another row of bungalows. Bungalow itself was good but the showers need upgrading.

Holiday Inn Phi Phi Island
Accommodation and facilities:
This is a very nice resort, with an exceptional beach and water at your doorstep. While the rooms are pretty basic and in need of refurbishment (this is already underway), they are comfortable and clean and the resort facilities and surrounds make up for this. The Satay Sunset Bar at the top of the hill is great for a late afternoon drink while watching the sun set over Phuket and the Andaman Sea. We had a brief look at the other 3 resorts in the immediate vicinity and must say that unless you have deep pockets to afford the 5-star Zeavola Resort then the Holiday Inn is the definite pick. You can hire a long tail boat and driver for a couple of hours or the whole day at reasonable prices and explore the snorkelling spots and beaches around Phi Phi Don, head down to Phi Phi Lay or, as we did, explored Mosquito and Bamboo Islands, just 20 minutes from the resort. Bamboo Island has an excellent beach and is a great place to take a picnic lunch. You just need to be out of there by around 1:00pm when the tour boats pull in with hoards of life-jacketed snorkel bunnies. If you are planning on staying on Phi Phi (and your definitely should to get the most out of it) you really need at least 2 clear days (3 nights) minimum to get the most out of your visit. A word of warning though; whatever travel time they quote for the ferries that run between Phuket and Phi Phi, double it. We left the Holiday Inn on the morning ferry at 7:30am and didn’t arrive back at Phuket until 12:30pm. The biggest delay was in Tonsai Bay where we waited for late connecting ferries from all over the place it would seem, not to mention the tourists that realised at the last minute that they were on the wrong boat. A definite downside to an otherwise great visit! If you have the numbers or the necessary cash, take a speed boat! Thanks to all the staff at the Holiday Inn, especially Sven. Reservation service:
The folks at Web SiameServices Reservations were very helpful, and while some of the responses kept us wondering for a while, they got it right and everything fell into place as we expected. Thanks especially to Ms Bee.

Holiday Inn Phi Phi Island
Accommodation and facilities:
This was definately about a 3 or 3.5 star resort. I thought the price was way to expensive and there policy on no cash to be used can also bump up the price as you are always charging things on your card. The meals and drinks were pricey and the massage is expensive and not worth the money (we walked out). Definitely better places to stay I think. Won't stay there again.
Reservation service:
Excellent, no problems. Wish I had of used them from the beginning, much better than Asia Rooms & Asia Travel, seem to know what they are doing.
