Accommodation and facilities:
We were so excited to be going to this resort as the pictures online made it look amazing. We booked 3 standard rooms as there were 6 of us in our party. The cost for a 3 night stay was 75% of the cost we paid for 16 nights in Phuket so this was a big chunk of our holiday budget. Unfortunately, this hotel was not worth the money and we were really disappointed with it. The rooms were very tired and the towels and sheets were worn out - they were stained and had holes in them. The woodwork on the rooms was peeling and the balustrades were badly eaten by insects and in need of repair. Many of the lights were not working, light fittings were missing as were pictures on the wall so the rooms were very basic and unattractive. In addition to all of this, a huge barge full of building materials was moored on the jetty and was unloaded from 8-6 with a huge JCB and gravel lorry which sped up and down constantly through the central (and only) access road in the resort. The swimming area and beach with sunbeds on was immediately next to this barge. The sun beds were poorly attended and the remains of other guests lunches were left on the beach tables so you had to clear this yourself. Even without the building work, this hotel is overpriced. The deluxe rooms are those shown online and they are newer so may be better but the standard rooms are awful.

Wonderful sight and wonderful Bungalows on the hills with a stunning view out over the sea! The Bungalows where just breathtaking (the ones on the hill). Was a small longtail trip outside of the village and perfect for families/elders. If we should complain then is is that the surroundings there was a lot of trash. A little messy. Perfect visit for us!

Absolutely wonderful, best stay we had in Thailand. Calm beautiful beach with snorkeling. Possibility to snorkel among small sharks, just swim out a little bit from the beach or have a long tail drive you there. Very good breakfast buffet. Small and deep pool, not for small children. Great atmosphere. Possibility to take a long tail or walk (ap 25 min) to the centre of Phi Phi if you want to eat elsewhere than on the reort and to have some more pulse. Also possibility to do some day trips to other island. Be ware of the trip to Maya Beach, it's a tourist trap. A very nice beach but far to many tourists and speed boats ruin the experience. Nice snorkeling on the way though.

We had a wonderful time at Phi Phi The Beach Resort... Our room had a fabulous view on the hill, the food was very good, the location perfect right at Shark Point and the best snorkeling off the beach on the entire island. And the staff was absolutely wonderful including the lovely ladies who gave me numerous massages. Long tail boat service and snorkeling or diving adventures were readily available right from the beach.. no need to go to town and mess with the masses. Thanks and we will return!

The hotel was having construction and renovation work done during our stay (October), the noise, that started at 08:00 AM and lasted till 08:00 PM was terrible. It woke us up in the morning and damaged the relaxation atmosphere severely. Also, many parts of the hotel looked more like a dirty construction site rather than a beach resort. The construction work issue was not mentioned when we booked the hotel in SiameServices and not in any other booking website. On top of that, the hotel management didn’t find a way to handle this situation properly and their attitude and low service awareness were demonstrated in many more areas: restaurant service, transportation etc. The views are spectacular in this hotel (only the sea view rooms), but this is the only good thing there… More construction work are planned to the next low season – beware!

The staff is very friendly, their English is poor but they work hard on this. They are very helpful to you as best as you are happy. The room is fully equipped. It looks neat and clean. For people with mobility problems, this is not a suitable resort due height and the steps you need to run. The resort is under development and not everything is perfect but here you have not affected. The beach is beautiful and the location is perfect. The breakfast is extensive. Unfortunately you have many problems with flies and ants therefore it does not look appetizing. The food is delicious and the restaurant looks clean and neat. Please take longtail boat taxi to the village to go, you may well find this Phi Phi Island and the longtail boat taxi takes you back to your hotel.

Price quality was very bad, you pay to much for what you get. There was a lot of noise from trucks and builders who were working on the resort. The resort was in sad state and was NOT a paradise. The swimming pool was very very very small and had a filter system (so no antibacterial protection at all). You could see through the water how dirty the corners were. Television didn't have any satelite tv, what was promissed us before booking. Staff was OK, but not like in the rest of Thailand. The room was OK, but for the price we payed below expectations. Some things were broke and such. We stayed 2 nights, and we were glad we didn't book any more.

A very nice experience! The bungalow we stayed in was a bit worn down, but not up to the point were it would have annoyed. The view from our balcony/terrace was phenomenal and the hotel location was truly excellent. Long beach was really peaceful and nice, yet it was easy to take a long boat to Tonsai pier whenever needed. Hotel service was good and extensive. WLAN was expensive (3B/min) which is a small minus.

The hotel is very nice, quite meets our expectations. The bungalos are scattered along the slope of the hill (rather high, good traning, however one can take a free electric car at anu time). No pool, a small beach, Baht 100 per sunbed. The breakfast is very good with a variety of dishes. Free long-tail boat transfer for the hotel guests from/to the pier you arrive to/depart from the island. Look for the receiving guy.

We had 3 bungalows. Bungalows ok but looks better in the web site.The hotell is located at long beach, you have to take a longtail in to the Phi Phi pire 250 bath for two ways per person. The restaurang at the hotell was Ok, and there was a nice bar at the beach. A quiet and soft area. Nice beach for children with a very good snorkling direct from the beach, shark piont 150 meters from beach and there was sharks. The pool was terrible, small and smelled ugly.

Attantion: in the resort there is a Bar that play very loud music until the midle of the night. we herd the music very loud in the rooms.we were with a baby and when we complained, the manager of the resort (he is the owner of the bar too) was very agrresive and told us that he can not do anything and he did not agree evan to law the music. in the morning we left to another place in long beach. Also, the bathroom is tiny and in very bed shape. it looks like in a one star hotel.

I went to the beach resort for my honeymoon. Had a great time. The location of the resort is perfect. Far from the pier and the central market of Phi phi island. Quiet and peaceful, Beautiful beach, very friendly staff, safe. A good fire show every evening. And I think it is the closest to one of the main snorkeling spots of phi-phi island. I mean one could actually swim to the spot from the hotel beach instead of hiring a boat to reach the spot. Overall a very memorable experience.

Nice place. Incredibly indifferent front desk staff. Virtual absence of any hands on management.The place seems to be run by young fairly indifferent staff. The front bar at night is noisy and is run by young fire dancers who are friendly and provide a good service. But the activities seem at odds with the type of clientelle that are staying there and seems to be aimed at drawing others from down the beach.

Bungalow see view (N°2102) Super situation avec magnifique vue depuis le sommet de la coline. Le bungalow est bien. Il manque néanmoins de vraies chaises longue sur la terrasse privative; dommage ! Le fait qu il faille prendre un long Boat pour accéder au petit village n est vraiment un problème. Cela préserve la tranquilité du site. Malheureusement le personnel n est pas super compétent, notamment avec de grande difficulté avec la langue anglaise.

We booked the resort after having read the client reviews. Everything pointed out by other travellers is correct. The location is really good, since the hotel has its own beach. The sand is white and the sea is clear there as opposed to the other beaches closer to Ton Sai. The service staff seems to be little motivated, the atmosphere is comparable with a backpacker hostel when it comes to service. On the other hand they try quite hard with their seafood BBQ offered every night. The food is good and the prizes are average compared to other hotels (good value for money). The breakfast is decent, although there is nothing that keeps the flies off the buffet. We got to pay the low season fares. I would not have paid more for the service and amenities provided by the hotel. Another thing you might want to consider is the noise - longtail boats and the dj that plays every night.

The Beach Resort has a friendly staff and is always willing to help. In case of problems it is better to refert these directly to the manager as she will cope with these in a proper way. Our rooms with grand sea view did not disappoint and the buddha bar night performance is always cheerful. Allowing bar guests to get to their room by golf cart after 11pm would be better for business.

Our hotel was in long beach overlooking the breathtaking view of the beach, away of the noisy and crowded tonsai bay. In front of the hotel there is a house-reef with a great snorkelling and if you are lucky you can see black tip sharks very early in the morning or late afternoon. Because our room was in the highest point of the cliff we had golf-cars to go up and down at any time. People were so kind and helpful. There is a bar right on the beach (belongs to the hotel), where you can have some cold beer, meet people and watch a fire show at night. very recommended.

We went to Phi Phi for the beautiful scenery and the peace and quietness (so we thought). It turned out that the hotel survives the lower toerist season by organising disco evenings every night. We had to listen to the tones of the music until 2 am. (in our room)! Calling the reception did niotr help. Especially given the roomrate we had to pay for the room, we were very disappointed.

BEAUTIFULL!!! great location!! on long beach which is nice and quiet and away from the busy town. amazing snorkeling right in front of the resort!! the bungalow was perfect with everything you would need!! comfortable beds and beautifull view over the bay and oppisite islands with a amazing sunset view!! we had a great experience!! the staff was always helpfull and very friendly!! we arrived at phi phi whith a ferry and the resort staff was waiting to take us to the resort with a little boat which was amazing because we didnt expect it! the only thing that botherd us was the bar which was a bit loud at night but it is not something which would put me off from never returning to the resort! Coz i will definately be back to the beach resort!! we LOVED every second!!

I didn't like the hotel. The bungalows were dusty and shabby located on steep hill. The territory was not well-attended. The hotel had the most expensive prices on the Long Beach on everything (food, beverages, taxi-boats, massage, internet). That was why we were buying everything in other hotels nearby. After 3 nights which we booked had passed we moved to another hotel on the same beach, which had better bungalows situated right on the beach, the territory looked like a beatiful garden full of flowers and the hotel was much cheaper. We liked the long beach very much. it's better to live there than near the pier. And the shark point is nearby. Next time i'll stay again at the long beach but not at Phi Phi The Beach Resort.

Место очень красивое, думаю одно из лучших на островах! Первое мнение об отеле было очень хорошее, настоящая экзотика! Красивейший пляж, рыбки плавают прямо рядом с тобой у берега, домики располагают, неплохой ресторан. Сначала было неприятно, что на пирсе никто не встретил. Потом плюсом на рецепции персонал не особо торопился нас заселить и обслужить. Отношение к постояльцам такое, что люди приезжают туда в оновном на 1-2 дня, поэтому можно особо не стараться. поэтому стафф ходит в развалочку, единственный кто бегает - это менеджер француз, хотя лучше бы он организовал работу персонала сначала. Потом приятно было обнаружить, что вместо номера люкс с шикарным видом на море, как выбирали по фото при заказе, получили номер с шикарным видом на дерево, которое нависло на весь балкон.. К вечеру поджидал еще сюрприз. Территория отеля, как выяснилось, является одним из самых тусовых мест, так что ближе к ночи туда сползаются все кому не лень и устраивают дискотеку, может, и весело, но спится не очень, в номере шумоизоляции нет. и официантам непросто такую толпу обслужить, они не делают акцента, кто с гостинки, а кто в гостях. Ночью еще один сюрпрайз. По тебе ползают муравьи, не большие не маленькие. Средние. В ухи не заползали. Под утро лежишь в 40-50 трупах муравьиных. Как выяснилось плюсом к уборке идет травля дихлофосом, обрызгивают и постельное белье и полы, языком на подушку лучше не спать. Но, если честно, под конец так привыкаешь, что если и была бы муравьиная фобия, то прошла бы! А на следующий день еще сюрпризик, последний! К обеде на наш отельный пляж свозили туристов, видимо экскурсионщиков, человек по 100, они тут же располагались, фотографировались над нашими головами... а если хочешь пообедать, то лучше тебе поторопиться до часу сделать заказ, потом все, очередь. и еще с 12-30, до кухня не работает еще. Вообщем, не скажешь, что уединенно. Но мы были в пик-сезон, с 3 по 10 января. может в более спокойный и неплохо. Но, несмотря на все мы все равно остались довольны. Красота - страшная сила, а там очень красиво! так что, если вы не сильно придирчивы, то и вам понравится!

The Hotel Beach Resort was one of the best I saw on Phi Phi. Long Beach is very nice and very good for snorkeling and diving. You must not make an excursion for snorkeling. The bungalows are good, but it´s sometimes very loud, not because of the guest: The staff are driving with unbelievable loud cars through the area and this in the morning and in the evening. Also the the beach bar is very loud until into the late night. Breakfast is ok. The service was the most time also good, but sometimes the staff is present, but not for work. One time I had to wait nearly one hour, before I became a coke in the beachrestaurant. In the summary, I wood stay once more in the hotel, because the long beach is wonderful,the rooms are ok and the prize is very good.

Value for money. Although the furniture on the balcony were not made to sit in! I ended up sitting on a pillow on the floor instead! You better know your spouse well beforehand, as the bathroom wall ended before it met the roof (a lot of space in between!). Very friendly staff! Always smiling and you felt that they were really interested in me - not only as any guest, but as a person, but without being too inquisitive.

Very nice resort and a lovely place with blue crystal sea and fine sand. The fire show was excellent and the staff at Buddha Bar are very friendly. However, i want to point out that the food from this resort was not good. In fact my husband and I were very sick the morning after we dined at the restaurant.

A little bit expensive but absolute the best locationon on Long Beach and a great view if you chose room 2101-2107. Service was good except in reception since a very few did understand English. What we didn´t like was all the one day tourist comming in big speed boats about 11.30 A.M. from Krabi/Phuket and these left again about 2. P.M., These created a lot of noise. Rooms have to be updated in the next year or two.

the beach resort was great in that everyone was really friendly and waved/saluted you each time, was right on the beach and had everything you need in phi phi right at your doorstep. the location was fantastic and the bungalows were cool. ofcourse a little outdated but nothing to worry about, working aircon and comfy beds is all you need! the fireshows on the beach at night are awesome, i dont know why other people have complained so much about the noise from the bar, honestly.. what time do you need to go to bed, 8pm? it was fine. also the breakfast is great, had a nice gentleman cook my an omlette of my choice each morning and to eat it on the beach, literally, was just very exciting. there was a tiny language barrier with the front desk staff but we managed to get all requests actioned and everything went smoothly. no complaints other than that their showers could be upgraded, but really not a biggy! i wasnt there on a honeymoon or anything. I will definitely go back and stay in the future!

Excuse the length of this review but defiantly worth reading as we would not want you to make the same mistake we did of staying here. On a positive note this hotel defiantly has the best views on the island especially if you able to take a Grand Sea View Deluxe room in the back row (especially room 2105) but the views are defiantly the only positive thing about this hotel. I am never one to write a complaint but feel that this hotel was so bad people need to know not to make the same mistake we did by staying there. This was our last holiday before our baby arrives so I thought I would spend a little more to get a deluxe villa. I chose long beach as it is 10min by long boat away from Phi Phi centre and though it would be quiet…How wrong was I !!!! We arrived and had to wait 15 min to check in as there was only one person on duty (I also had to wait 20 min one day just to get my room key) Lunch time was a buffet @ 250BHT per person which consisted of fried chicken legs, a type of fried carrot fritters & cold French fries !! (you can have a really nice meal for two at the next door restaurant for that price) My wife wasn’t feeling to well so asked for a toasted sandwich which we were told they don’t do even though the menu shows photos of toasted sandwiches. It was our 1st and last meal at the hotel restaurant and we heard at least 5 other couples complain about the price and quality of food during our stay. The main problem was the loud music that came from the beach bar until all hours of the morning( even though the average number of people sitting there every night was less than 10) We were very surprised on the 1st evening to get back from dinner to hear extremely loud music blaring out to loudly that we could hear the words of the songs word for word and feel the base vibrating in the room. (our room was about 500 meter away from the bar…that’s how loud it was) I tried reception for about 20 min with no answer so went down to ask if they could turn it down. I was not surprised to see other guest there complaining and demanding it was turned it down or get a refund. I do feel sorry for the lady at reception as the manager no where to be seen and was apparently having a night off in Phuket. We finally managed to fall asleep due to pure exhaustion at about 2am with the music still going (the loud air con helped dull the music). I asked the reception to get “ Mr Marco” (guest relations manager ) to contact me 5 times which he never did. This happened every night for 5 nights. When I finally cornered Mr Marco between his sitting chatting to his friends, smoking, drinking coffee and sitting on the internet he said there was nothing he could do as the Bar was not part of the hotel….I did find this hard to believe it was not part of the hotel as the Bar arranges the hotels tourist desk, hires out their snorkelling equipment and during the Hotels evening performances the Bar plays the music for play and the hotel etc. We spoke to at least 6 other couples during our stay whom had complained about the music. One also mentioned that there electricity box made such a noise all through the night they thought it would explode. The hotel also doesn’t have a spa like advertised. I also chose the hotel as the agent web site said breakfast starts @ 6am so this would give me time for breakfast and time to get into Phi Phi to go diving at 7am. When we got there we were told breakfast was only served @7.30am I showed the manager a print of the booking website showing it said 6am to which he said well that’s wrong and nothing they can do about it. He then told me I should rather have looked at their official web site and booked through it. I asked him to show me and after a lot of grumbling he finally logged on to the hotel website which surprise surprise also said breakfast started at 6am. When I asked if a pack breakfast could be arranged there was more moaning and when I finally got the breakfast it was a boiled egg, a green banana, and a slice of bread. The internet was also the most expensive we saw on the whole Thailand trip and the internet didn’t work most of the time. I asked the hotel to arrange a long tail boat to take me to the pier in the morning which never showed up and nearly caused me to miss my non refundable diving trip. The bar blender was also broken for 4 out of 5 days so no milk shakes or cocktails. When I asked they said they have to wait for one from Phuket even though they sell them in Phi Phi for about 300BHT. On the evening of the Thai New Year the hotel had buffet and entertainment. The only thing for supper was the buffet @ 1,200 BHT per person….this is the cost of at least three two course dinners for two in the town centre. When we got back from dinner we were not surprised to see about 3 couples having dinner and the place empty. Even though the place was empty most nights the Bar & hotel continued to pump loud music every night in some pathetic attempt to get people to come down the beach. The rest of long beach was very quiet. The hotel also refused to arrange us a long tail boat to take us to the pier when we checked out even though on the web site they tell you they will. While we were there we never once saw the guest relations manager talking to any guests asking them how things were going etc…we only saw him sitting around doing nothing. Most of the other reviews had mentioned how busy it gets at lunch time. We chose to ignore this and didn’t think it would be that bad. But believe me you want to avoid the hotel between 11.30 & 2. Most days you have about 20 speed boats pulling up outside the hotel to drop off people for lunch. You can’t even see the beach in front of the hotel at lunch time with speedboats even pulling up and parking in the designated swimming areas…so if you swimming you really have to watch out. There was also about 17 power failures during our 5 days. The satellite TV also only had 5 channels which also hardly ever had reception. Also the advertised room sizes actually include the balcony so the room sizes are in fact rather small for what you paying for. The photos on the web site are also misleading with the pool one of the smallest I have ever seen. If I dived in I would hit my head on the other end on the pool….amazing what you can do with a wide angle lens I would really think twice about staying at this hotel as the service is the worst I have seen with a I don’t care attitude, over priced and very noisy

Ok. Maybe a bit overpriced. We did not have problem with noise; location is fine. Only disappointment: dinner buffer was a rip off (1200 Baht), the entertainment was just very loud music. Walk just to next place you will have wonderful dinner for a fith of the price.

Lovely hotel, away from the hustle and bustle.5min long boat trip to hotel from pier. Staff abit disorganised on check-in but friendly. Fire show and atmosphere at beach pub Buddha Bar excellent. Would highly recommended and go back.

Molto rumoroso, il bar sempre musica alta fino alle 4 di notte. Camera superior vista mare con albero difronte...senza vista mare. Animali in camera di notte, cambio camera con una inferiore, sicuramente rapporto qualità prezzo elevato. Non abbiamo dormito per 4 notti. Internet non funziona mai, stampante non esiste. Personale poco accogliente. Colazione povera. Camera pagata troppo.

First of all location. It is not too far from the main village, boat goes 24/7 for 100baht if not alone and 150baht only for you. You can see a nice sunset though it is a bit covered by little island. Though you can always go to Viewpoint to gorge :) Staff was nice and friendly although not too efficient. Generally ok. Room was clean and shower had no yellow water. Not like some other hotels in PhiPhi. They have in room TV's with I think 24 channels. FTV, some music channel, loads of news in different languages. There was in room safe where I always left my valuables. Breakfast was nice and they had a good selection of food. In the evening they have this fire show with music so can get little bit noisy but not much if you are little bit up the hill. Overall very nice hotel. Little bit pricey though.

We were pleasantly surprised at these quaint bungalows once we arrived. Overall great views, and close to other nearby beach facilities. They are relatively private and in good condition overall. The only complaint was the noise of the bumping house music playing nightly at the beach buddha bar. The food was decent and overall we would stay here again.

Nice location on the island. All hotel bungalows are on the Hill so ... there is no real beach front ! Clean. Be ready to climb. A destination for DayTour groups for lunch !!! The beach and restaurant look like a real mess on a beautiful beach that should remain quite and natural. Loud music at night. Not appropriate when you are looking for peace. Service is just acceptable . No warmth in the welcome.

The hotel room was very nice except for the bathroom which is a bit basic... It did not look very clean either. The bungalows are of a good size in a nicely landscaped garden. The balcony was extremely pleasant and the view simply gorgeous.The location of the hotel is very nice: not in Tonsai but only a five minute boat ride to Tonsai if one should like a change of scene. The restaurants around the hotel are nice. One thing to know if you plan to spend a lot of time in/ around the hotel: every day the hotel serves lunch to the day-trippers from Phuket. The speed boats come and unload their passengers just for lunch then take them back to continue on their tour. The beach is crowded for a couple of hours...
