Accommodation and facilities:
This was my second time at hotel!! we were very disappointed! When checking in we were given a rooms which smelt like urine and had old vomit on the wall. We were then moved to a much better room. The swimming pool is NOT blue like in the picture. The tiles have aged and it looks more like a black pool. There was no waitron service at the swimming pool for 2 of the 4 days we were there. Breakfast has been changed to outside since I was last there, and all the food has flies sitting on it. Would probably not stay there again when I go back to Phi Phi. Not what you would expect from a 4star hotel.

On the night we arrived the airconditioning in the room did not work. This spoilt the holiday for us as not only did we not sleep very well we were bitten badly by hving to sleep above the covers. I would expect a room with adequate Air conditioning at the price we paid. When we requested some recompense we were told that the resort could not give us any kind of refund due to the fact that the room was booked through an agent, even though we tried to book direct and were told to go through the agent. We wrote a letter to the managment but have yet to receive a reply. Very disappointed!

We found the service to be almost non existant around the pool and when we did get food it was cold and the coktails were terrible! When asked about the food we were treated very rudely and when they returned with the same food they had reheated we were almost mocked for complaining! This was on valentines day mind you and we were staying in the Junior suite (there best rooms)at a very expensive rate. This said after we stopped eating and drinking around the pool and layed there and enjoyed the view we were happy. No apoligies either for the staffs rudeness by management and were still charged for the cold meal!

The hotel is at an excellent location and has huge potential. Overall OK, but rather disapointing in some aspects: - staff are nice but very lazy, rooms not clean, and no approach for service - Basic Breakfast - Some rooms are getting very strong feedback bass noises from the night parties. I have to say the hotel owner was super nice and help us on an incident in the best possible way.

Great location for a hotel straddling both beaches. Room was lovely and magnificent view from our room 2304. However, on check-in we were left to find our room block for which there were many, had to go and pick up our bags from reception and no welcome drink. The pool is nice but many tiles are broken around pool or insecure plus for 3 out of our 4 day stay the pool clorination system malfunctioned or something as the water turned horrible brown colour. Our Room AC did not work properly, we asked for fans on our second day as was too hot, they said spares had arrived and was being fixed that day. Nothing improved. Also no laundry facility at this hotel and you have to take to local shop. All in all, pay for location only, dissappointing hotel and would not stay here again.
Reservation service:
SiameServices very good but feel they should check out all the feedback regarding hotel AC and condition of pool area if they continue to advetise this hotel at high rates.

Hotel a bit old a tatty especially considering how much we had to pay as it was Christmas time. Disappointed with Phi Phi it is defintely for the young who want to drink lots of alcohol out of buckets. My friend described it as the Blackpool of Thailand. You can stay in a place that costs hundreds less than we paid, so the hotel was not worth the money.

Accommodation and facilities:
We decided to splurge on our stay in Koh Phi Phi. However we did not feel that this hotel was good value for money. Our main issue with the hotel was that the music from the bars/parties could be heard until well after 1 am which was not good for us as we were a family travelling with a small child. The music kept us up at night so we did not find this hotel relaxing at all. That being said, the room was nicely decorated but relatively small compared to other hotels we had just been staying in. We had a balcony with a lovely view of the water. The breakfast served in the morning was probably one of the best we had in our 4 weeks of travel. The pools were fantastic and we really appreciated the kiddy pool. The hotel is right on a beach but it was really crowded so did not lend itself for the relaxing and quiet holiday we desired. The hotel is just a few minutes walk to all the main restaurants and shops on the island. If this hotel was located on a quieter part of the island we would recommend but at this point we would only recommend if you are up late or are able to fall asleep with loud music playing.
Reservation service:
r24thailand was fantastic. We had a response within a few minutes of sending our request. Moreover, they realized that there may be an issue with our booking because we wanted to check out on Christmas Eve Day and the hotel did not want to approve this. r24thailand.com provided amble warning and tried to ensure that everything was smooth for our check-in and that we were able to check-out on the date desired. We were really impressed with the service and would recommend this website for booking.

We were very dissapointed about the discotec on the beach, playing music from around 10 in the night and through the hole night. Every night. Phi phi is suppose to be this quiet and calm place. The discotec results that i wont be going back, but instead choose other plages in Thailand. The beach and the ocean is also full of garbage, despite the few people going around cleaning.

Very objective assessment of this hotel: I have traveled all over the world in all sort of conditions so I guarantee this is the truth about this hotel . It's in a perfect position , closest hotel to the pier. It has beautiful gardens, beautiful pool , beautiful rooms . The rooms are a bit on the classic side , not modern but not outdated and they are on the medium to big side size wise , all air conditioned and with fridges. All required amenities in the rooms are present , the views over the gardens and Loh Dalum bay are amaizing.Staff speaks goodish english and they are like all thais , very friendly and very helpful .The hotel is spotless ,looks very posh and extends over a huge area and is a bit on the side so if you are the settled sort of person that goes to bed at 11 you won't be bothered almost at all by the booming music that at night exceeds 100000000 decibels on the beach :-) . You will still hear it a bit but not to the level that will stop you from sleeping. The only strange thing about this hotel is the the 2 restaurants always almost empty , didn't try them but I suspect it is because they are on the expensive side ( there is an enormous variety of restaurants on the island for all sorts of pockets and wallets ). The pool is nice , big , clean , overlooks the sea and can't be faulted .Time to travel to the hive of all activities on the island : max 10 minutes .
Reservation service:
siameservices .com does exactly what it promises, the reservations were there , staff knew about us coming , we were picked up from the pier by hotel staff . Full marks

The room was adequate - clean and with the all important air con, but the lighting wasn't very bright. Bathroom definitely needs a revamp though, as it was quite dark and the shower needs upgrading. Also, the water from the shower and tap was salty and not fresh, so you definitely would want to use tap water for brushing your teeth! Was only there for two nights though, so all manageable. The pool area looks out over the beach front so the location is lovely. Staff service was very good, and everyone was friendly and helpful.

Phi Phi Island Cabana Hotel
Accommodation and facilities:
The room is fine, BUT the taste of the tap water and bathroom left much to be desired. The tap water tasted salty, not like fresh water. The bathroom needs major cleaning/renovation/remodeling. Shower sliding doors do not work very smoothly, the shower head was mounted in such a sway that one has to stand real close to the wall (almost touching wall) while taking shower, and sometimes bump against the pipe. Sink is too small to wash one's face without spilling water onto the counter. The morning breakfast buffet was good, staff was friendly and helpful, the pool was large and very children-friendly. Beach in front of the hotel during high tide isn't much, some stretches, there was no beach area. Overall, this hotel is a good choice.
Reservation service:
Service was prompt and efficient, easy to use. One issue, I could get a better rate than yours directly from the hotel website, but unfortunately, I didn't know at the time. Sure wish your rate could be more competitive.

Accommodation and facilities:
My partner and I choose this hotel, simply because of it's location - it's right next to the pier on Ton Sai Bay, Phi Phi Island (less than a two minute walk)and directly opposite two beaches (located in the middle). Check in staff were welcoming and friendly. The hotel interior is very outdated. Our deluxe room was again outdated and old. Shower screen was broken and the frame was rusted. The shower head was not screwed onto the wall properly and when you turned the water on the shower head would turn and flip with the water spraying up against the wall, therefore you had to hold onto it when showering which was annoying. Also, on arrival into our room, we discovered ants and modules of sand on our bed. Not what we expected for the price we paid. We then discovered, much nicer, more modern resorts for much cheaper rate but unfortunately, we had pre-paid for our hotel in advance, so we stuck it out. The pool was great with plenty of sunbeds! Breakfast was average. Chef on site to cook ommelettes, with cold cereal selections along with hot buffet selections - lots of rice, noodles, and salads. Thankfully, the weather was great, so we spent very little time at the hotel. If I was to return to Phi Phi Island - I would not stay at this hotel, purely because it is very old. Nicer and new hotels located near the Cabana that are cheaper.

Accommodation and facilities:
The hotel is not as one would expect for a 4-star hotel in Thailand, specially considering that it is completely overpriced in this country. However, it is the best hotel in Ko Phi Phi if youy want to be in the tourist village. The rest of the hotels are cheaper, but less quality, so this is the coice if you want a good hotel well placed. All other hotels in Ko Phi Phi are overpriced as well. The other option is goin to the Phi Phi Village Hotel or the Holiday Inn , which are very nice resorts, but are not in the tourist village, and the only access to the village is by taxi boat, which will cost a bit. These two hotels are good, but completely isolated. The Caban looks like an old resort, with old rooms, old bathrooms, old services, everything is old, and doesn't look great. The swimming pool is great, in front of the beach, with the other bay at just 50 metres, and in the centre of the tourist village, just metres away from the pier. Location couldn't be better. Eventhough everything in this hotel is old, it isn't bad. Just don't expect one of the nice resorts in other places in Thailand like Ko Samui, or the nice hotels in BKK.

The location was fabulous and the room view was terrific. The pool was great. These are the only good things I can say about the hotel since it over priced for the service level and attitude. We stayed for 5 nights in the hotel and did not move since it was our last stop in our Thailand vacation and we lack the energy for additional move. I recommend to search somewhere else. The AC bearly coped with the heat and it stopped working several times. The toilet had to be fix twise while we stayed. The service people at the hotel where not very helpful and their English level is below average. For 5500 baht per night we paid, I am sure there are other better equipped and with better service hotels on the Isle.

Accommodation and facilities:
I spent 3 nights with my partner at Phi Phi Cabana Hotel, room #1115. The room is situated at the ground floor, so it saves us the hassle of climbing stairs (there's no elevators at the hotel). The balcony gave a beautiful view of the swimming pool and Loh Da-lum bay. We re 5metres frm the pool and 10 metres from the beach. Cabana is also very near the Phi Phi Pier, so we dun have to walk very far to the hotel after embarking from the ferry. Breakfast buffet was the same for all 3 days. Shower room is well equipped with face/hand/bath towel. But the water from the tap and shower tastes a little salty. There's a safe-box in the cupboards and the mini-bar is well equipped. Bed and pillows are soft, but the blankets are a little prickly. A/c is in good condition. Only negative point is that the hotel's Massage & Spa facility was destroyed by the Tsunami, but the hotel failed to update it in their website nor on the hotel room guest book. However, Cabana gave the most beautiful view of the Lo Da-lum beach than every other resort. Overall 4/5 star rating I'll give to Cabana. Will return there.

Hotel is the best in Phi Phi Don town. Excellent pool area with amazing view of the bay. We stayed in the Andaman suite (the best the hotel offers) and is really big, with outstanding view of the beach with big balcony and big jacuzzi inside the room. Everything was clean. Breakfast get a bit boring after a week here. Hotel staff is very friendly. Hotel has an excellent restaurant right in front of the second beach (opposite bay, can't remember the name), but options are very limited. Room service is perfect, specially in the Andaman room :) I think the hotel would be much better if they would pay more attention to many details. The overall is fine, but it could be just perfect if the finishing of the room could be better, the ceiling of bathroom didn't quite match the rest of the decoration of the room (looked like they didn't thought of it), they could also change towels two times per day instead of only one, specially since this room has a jacuzzi as well, we ran out of clean towels everyday. The town is just steps away. Though is still under construction after the tsunami, and gets really crowded.

Great location. Biggest drawcard is the pool area. However, there are not enough deck chairs for guests - thats an understatement. Guests get up early in the morning and reserve their chairs by putting towels on. If you arrive at 9, you have no chance. Breakfast very average - diluted juices, old cereals etc, awful croissants. Rooms are very simple. Poor water pressure, no hot water in basin (but some in shower). Staff are very unfriendly. They would not give 2 room keys to us (even though 2 of us in room) - we had to share 1. They wont fetch your laundry and return to your room - you need to go to reception to drop it off and collect. Overall, not worth the money for what you get. You dont spend money to lie by a pool in Phi Phi (hotels biggest feature). Rather try the PHi Phi Palmtree or PP Princess (with infinity pool).

We stayed in a deluxe twin from Dec 24 to 29. Reality and hotel description as per website differ greatly. There is basically only one restaurant in operation and no sunbeds at the beach. Most importantly, not all rooms are seafacing as advertised. The staff is generally nice and tries to accomodate the needs. Very bad is the fact that the nearby beach bars are playing loud music until 4 am, with is not acceptable. When paying such high room rates, I expect peace, especially at night. We moved two times the room! The compulsory Xmas dinner [buffet] was very good though, huge selection of items for every taste [THANKS].
Reservation service:
The booking service was prompt and seemed professional and reliable from the first moment. Care must be taken to ensure the hotel description are true in terms of facilities.

Phi Phi Island Cabana Hotel
Accommodation and facilities:
Since the Tsunami the hotel rooms have been totally redone. Prior to that the rooms were getting the old and worn look but today they are very nice. The rooms are small but comfortable and many have a beautiful view, a view like a post card you might send to friends. All the staff is friendly and speak adequate English to meet your needs. The hotel is well maintained and in best location on the island if you want to be in walking distance of the village where all the restaurants are in addition to dive shops, agencies offering special tours, hundreds of typical beach clothing and jewelry shops, convenience stores, night life and a number of those small massage shops offering a wonderful one to two hour Thai massage for very little money and once your hooked, you will come back for more. If you stay at one of the nice spa or hotel resorts up the island some distance, if you choose to visit the village you will have to rent a long tail boat for every trip and this can get expensive and it is not always advisable if there are storms or it is night time. I highly recommend the Phi Phi Island Cabana Hotel and ask for a view of the back bay. If you enjoy relaxing on the sandy beach or a swim in the pool, Phi Phi Island Cabana has it all with a 3 minute walk from your room. Breakfast is very adequate with lots of choices and a chef is available for fresh omlets as you request. If you visit the island, take some time to relax and get acquainted with the people. Thai people treat tourist with respect and care and they are wonderful people. Learn about their life style, their schools, their families. Many on the island have come from small villages in Thailand to find work and they too fall in love with the island atmosphere. Be sure and rent a long tail boat for 1/2 a day and visit some wonderful snorkeling locations within 30 minutes of the village on the same island or visit some of the nearby islands such as Bamboo, Phi Phi Lei, and others. Buy some fresh bananas at the market and take a long tail about 10 minutes from the pier to feed the wild monkeys. And do remember they can get aggressive so use common sense. You can go diving, cliff jumping, snorkeling, and even take Thai cooking classes at a small restaurant in the village. If you want a 5 star resort, Phi Phi Cabana is not one. There is not one within walking distance of the village. Also, take a hike to view point. The view is worth the hike. At the top is a small shop for refreshments. I suggest no less than 3 full days on the island or otherwise you never get the chance to totally appreciate the island atmosphere and you function as a tourist all the time. I prefer to stay a minimum of 4 full days and often more. The trip from Phuket or Krabi is about 2 hours by ferry. The ferry boat is an experience alone. Get to the ferry 20 to 30 minutes early so you can get a seat in the A/C part. If you want to walk out in the sun and on the outside deck you can always leave something in your seat. They sell water, beer and soft drinks and few snacks on the boat. I recommend a metered taxi, yellow taxi, from the airport at Phuket to the Rasada Pier. Others will try to charge twice as much. Ferry tickets should cost 700 baht round trip but this is always a challenge. Do not feel bad if you pay 1000 baht. When you land at any of the airports there are many trying to sell you hotels, taxi service and ferry tickets. I suggest you keep on walking. You can change your money on the island without a problem. Several banks, many bank exchange locations and ATMs. Creidt cards are accepted by many restaurants and hotels and even the shops. If you wish to visit the local elementary school, take a 20 minute hike and go into the Admin office. They are proud to tell you about their program. I often make a small contribution to the school. Learn about the religions on the island. Spend time visiting with possibly the most wonderful people on the planet, the Thai people. ENJOY.
Reservation service:
Very helpful and answered all my questions promptly. I highly recommend them. By the way, rainy season is a good time to go. First in high season prices are much higher plus the number of tourists doubles. In rainy season it is often a bit more comfortable in temperature and the rains never last long. Four hours at most but generally 30 minutes to two hours and the the sun returns.

I originally booked for three nights for this hotel. However, after my arrival I was disappointed about the hotel and the island and I realized that it was too long to stay for 3 nights. So I decided to shorten my stay for only one night. The hotel rooms were small and not very clean. The bath room was small too and the water from the taps was salty. The only good thing about this hotel was the swimming pool which was nice and facing the beach. Apart from that everything else was just about average. Wireless Internet service was only limited to the café area and it was very slow. A small travelers tip, if you are planning to stay for one night at Phi Phi Island and want to make good use of your day, make sure to catch up the afternoon snorkeling and sunset tours as these normally leave after 1:30pm.

Its just a so so place. The water pressure is low, water is salty, limited shower space. The view is good, and overall, the room size is spacious (exclude the bathroom; in which I almost fell due to the unneccessary uneven floor). The people there are friendly overall though some don't speak/understand decent english. Do not book ferry ticket from the hotel's tour counter; instead call from room or book it outside as it is cheaper.

Phi Phi Island Cabana Hotel
Accommodation and facilities:
Good location (in between both beaches). Hotel is about 100yds on the laft as you come off the ferry, which was handy. Couldn't believe the hotel was rebuilt 2 years ago, following the Tsunami - it looked like it had been there for 50 years! The refurb job was fairly slapdash , but you don't get 5 star in Phi Phi (or Koh Tao). We uograded to an Andaman Suite (which they let us have for 12000bt a night instead of 15000bt). The room was ok - 2 bedrooms (which we didn't need), air con wasn't cold enough, and I don't think the french windows had ever been cleaned (marks all over it where someone had leant against it with sun oil on - yuk!!!). No safe in the room, and the water was brown from the taps (no kidding). Pool was great, with plenty of sun beds and no rush to bag one, which I hate. Overall a nice hotel, but certainly not the Shangr-La!

Good location and poolarea, that was all Cabana hotel had to offer. The room was dirty and towells unclean. The smell outside our room just across to the gym was stinking. We had booked to stay for 7 nights, Groundfloor because of wheelchair. Breakfast on first floor was not so easy so we asked them to make a table for us on the groundfloor, they did but in a dirty area of brooken furnitures. The breakfast was also unfresh, the second morning we had breakfast in the French bakery downtown. We did not felt that we stayed on a 4 star hotel, rader expensive too! We stayed only for two nights, then we went back to Karon beach at the Access hotel, a very nice 4 star hotel!

Accommodation and facilities:
Rather expensive(chinese-owned?) hotel with great pool area and beautiful views. Funny atmosphere though, with friendly but discouraged staff, fierce-looking chinese security gards, and dogs and cats sleeping in the corridors among filled laundry bags and dead leaves during most of the day. Quite expensive restaurant dedicated mostly to the chinese parties, which means noisy pop music and that other (non-chinese) guests may have to wait for a very, very long time for the quite ordinary food. A puzzle that this pays off, when fresher and much cheaper seafood is offered by efficient staff on the crowded beach restaurants along Ao Ton Sai.

Good location of this hotel, but we were very disappointed of our room. It vas very dirty when we checked in, and it didn't seem to be cleaned in a long time. We asked them twice to clean the room, but all they did was to change the towels. Not nice to live in others dirt! I will not reccomend this hotel...Expensive hotel and bad service.

The stay did not start so good - some idiot had left a plate with pasta in the narrow space under the the bed, so when we entered the room there was a rat there eating the leftovers. We contacted the reception and 3 persons immidiately took care of the rat and they were very helpful so we could change room. After the first insident we had a perfect stay at the Cabana. The pool area is truly great and also the surroundings. The location near Lo Dalum and Tonsai Bay is perfect when travelling with children (our 5 month old daughter), easy to access the beaches and also the main street with good resturants. Although the hotel lies near to the main street (only 300 m) the place is very quiet. The only disturbance is the construction of the new pier 150 m away, but it did not bother us even though we had the room closest to the pier. Summary: We will definitely return to the Cabana next time we visit Phi Phi Don.

Accommodation and facilities:
Overall, it was a nice hotel with an excellent location and view on the island. However, it was the most expensive hotel in our trip, but the least fancy or luxirious one. The delux rooms are quite small and the bathroom is very small, the sheets had stains on them, as well as some of the towels. The pool is great, and the wonderfull view (we had a pool view room) are pro s. Breakfast was satisfying (even though the coffee was terrible). Don't take rooms that face the peer, there is a construction noise from there and also the awfull singer of the hotel will not aloow you to sleep tight, as she sings in full volum some international hits with bad taste...To cut a long story short - we had great time in Phi Phi, but the hotel is over prices comparing to other hotels we stayed in Thailand. On the other hand, they said it before me: location, location, location....

Accommodation and facilities:
We booked this hotel hoping for- not premium- but a decent standard but we were so wrong! We stayed in wing 5 for two nights. The hotel´s furniture is very worn out, but that´s not really the issue. The room and the whole building looked dirty, accompanied by an unpleasant smell and dirt on towels and under the bed and bathroom. Sand on the floor of the shower room too, which was never cleaned off during our stay. When passing by the gym building we had to take a deep breath to aviod the stink! The key to the room didn´t work the last night of our stay and we had to get the staff come with us and help us enter our room with a special key (ours didn´t work and was not replaced with a new!) We heard other guests having issues with key too. Breakfast was a disaster. There was several choices but everything seemed so unfresh. One could also see broken furniture, garbage, thrown under the first floors of some of the builidings. Once I saw some of the hotel´s cleaning staff watcing TV having lunch break IN one of the guest rooms! Staff looks very unmotivated (apart from front desk, seems like this hotel has internal issues. Hovever they have good customer inflow (it is the only big hotel on this side of Phi Phi). Room and service standard need to improve enormously befre justifying the rates they charge. Definitely overpriced and overrated. It is a pity - the hotel has great location - we had an awsome bay view from the balcony. This, together with the service-minded front desk staff were the only positive assets of this hotel. I would not stay here again unless really major changes happen within hotel facilities and services.

Hotel has been re-built since damaged in the Tsunami. Have stayed here numerous times pre-Tsunami and hotel is looking back to normal with teh exception of the bungalows which wre not re-built! Rooms ok - great size but not lavish. Staff friendly. Pool is the highlight of the hotel and new pool lounges and umbrella's arrived during our stay. Parts of the hotel have not been cleaned up as yet - very stinky with rubbish under the gym! Overall would recommend if staying in Phi Phi.

Phi Phi Island Cabana Hotel
Accommodation and facilities:
First impressions were great - a newly built, well presented hotel at probably the nicest part of the beach. However things started to go downhill from there. Despite arriving 2 hours after the designated check in time the room wasn't ready. After waiting a further two hours the room still wasn't ready so we asked to be transfered to another room. We had booked a double room and were then shown two twin rooms which were not suitable. At this point the baggage handler started cursing and throwing our luggage around - this was receptions fault not ours. After 5 hours we were eventually given a suitable room. Although a very nice spacious room it had obviously not been cleaned propery which we thought was a temporary oversight. However apart from changing the towels and bedlinen the room wasn't cleaned throughout the 5 day stay. We did bring this to the attention of the staff and were told that it would be dealt with but it never was. The room also lacked some of the facilities that it was advertised with - kettle, hairdryer, drinking glasses, on several occasions we even had to ask for soap. The lack of cleaning seemed to be a theme throughout the whole hotel complex and what appears to be a lovely hotel is quite grubby, stained and generally poorly maintained. This seems to be an issue that stems from the staff who in the main were unfriendly, slow, unhelpful and inexperienced. Indeed the majority were on probation and were more interested in trying to look busy than actually helping out guests. Breakfast at the hotel was a plus. With a good variety of food available to suit most tastes. Again the breakfast experience was spoilt by the lack of cleaning and dirty table cloths. The pool area was excellent. Great location with spectacular views over the bay. There was also a nice quiet section of beach which is a bonus for a busy island like Phi Phi. Price wise the resort was expensive for Thailand at over 6000 bahts per night (peak rates). At this cost you would expect a high standard of factilities backed up with a high standard of service. Compared with the various other accomadation we have stayed in throughout Thailand the facilities are good, the location excellent but the whole experience was spoilt by poor staff and a poorly maintained complex. Overall overpriced and not somewhere we would consider going back to unless the staff have a real change in attitude.

The hotel seems very impressive, but there was a very strong smell of sewage in some areas of the hotel, including the dining room where breakfast is served. The sea view of some of the rooms is beautiful.

A beautifull resort, located in a splendid bay. We took the presidential suite, which was quite nice decorated in traditional Thai style with jacuzzi on the balcony. Service levels were certainly not in accordance with this type of accommodation. And sleeping in a room where rodents are starting at 03.00 A.M. chewing away on the wooden roofpanelling was quite discomforting.
