We had a most enjoyable stay at the Amari Palm Reef, we found the facilities, service and extensive choice of breakfast options first class. We would particularly recommend the beach barbeques offered by the hotel. It was good to have the choice of two swimming pools, one adjoining the beach and the other in a quieter location close to our room. The general layout of the resort is extremely well planned and maintained. The resort is located in close proximity to the local shops and restaurants which are in easy walking distance. We dined at the Prego Italian restaurant owned by the hotel on three occasions and found this very good for food and service. We found all the staff at the Resort polite and helpful during our stay.

We loved this hotel. We was welcome with iced and perfume towels to refresh. No request but the hotel give us upgrade the room. Delicious swimming pools, beach, installations, and wonderful breakfast with all item wich you imagine for all peoples. The employee are very education you feel very rightly. The beach is beautiful and delicious, include for to walk the day and the night. A lot of restaurants, home if thai massage. Is a place of Ko Samui more better for stay.

Not good for the price. Disappointed with the location of the room being as we were staying for 29 nights. Also we received no discounts on the room price even though we stayed that long, we paid the same price for each and every day that we stayed. Most unusual for long stay in a hotel. The hotel is in a good location but the room was too far from the facilities.

This was excellent. We upgraded our room (wished we hadn t) and added an additional day to tie in with our flights. This was all handled with no problems.

This was our fifth stay at the Amari. We love the resort and the location. I do feel that the service was below what we have come to expect from the resort. We had particular issues at both breakfast and when trying to access facilities with a pushchair. We found the staff a little unhelpful.

We had vacation in April 2010. Overall staying in Amari Resort was good, very friendly service, good breakfast with wide choices of meal. Swimming pools & beach rest is organized very well. Italian restaurant & possibility to order meal to room was great. Kid's menu in both restaurants was highly accepted by our 4 years old kid. The only disappointed thing was that during check-in the receptionist frozen deposit sum of 10000 Bat without clear saying that or explanation the purpose of that from our payment card. Our friends were even more negatively surprised about frozen safety deposit of 20000Bat. We think that hotel should find another solution to secure themselves from unpaid services by guests. Even after checking-out, we couldn’t use this amount after 15days.

Fabulous resort, staff friendly and very welcoming and very fast to accommodate you for any needs. Breakfast was really good also. Can't fault this resort for anything except they allow anyone to use the lounge chairs and pool, so if you would like to sit by the pool get your beach towels on the lounge chairs early (really early) otherwise you miss out.

The hotel is good standard and overall a perfect hotel for spending a few days shopping in Chaweng. Two large poolareas and nice luxury main dining areas. Quite a lot of children good for us because we have children. Breakfast was absolutely the best we ever had. Did not miss anything.

We really enjoyed our stay at the amari palm reef resort. We travelled with our 4 year old daughter, so having the beach so close was good and the hotel provided lots of beach toys for children, and free babysitting. They also had children play time twice a week which was great. the only thing we did not like was that the wi fi was expensive, which these days should be provided free of cost. And the water in the beach was not very clean...overall it was great and would go and stay there again and already miss the food in their italian restaurant...

No wifi Internet connection in the rooom we got, but outside in pool area etc. We were booked in better room, but located accross the road. Was instantly on our request reallocated to less comfortable room close to pool and beach, but with no view. Excellent breakfast and kitchen. Clean and tidy all over. Will choose Amari also on next stay at Samui.

Great beautifull hotel, with good service. Only one comment, when we arrived we had a room at the ground floor. When we went to the bathroom there were three big cockroaches in the bathroom. We told the reception and we got another room immediately and an free upgrade.

Luxury resort hotel with beach frontage and two pools. The only disadvantage is that most of the rooms are across a small road. The family rooms are best with split level accommodation. Excellent restaurants if you can't be bothered with the short walk to the main strip (5 mins). I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone who expects a high level of service, cleanliness and amenities.

Hotel has lovely grownds ,room quality is poor for the price. Restraunt good, service efficient be careful of extra charges on the bill.Room service at 4-5pm is a bit early considerig people are in at thi time.No courtesy bus runs costs money on taxis to the central area, watch the cost of a taxi to airport price excessive. You leave the Amari with the feeling they are out to get your money and no concern to cater for the customer.

We travelled as a family of 4 with kids (aged 8 and 10) The Room : Family Delux Duplex Room with Double Bed Downstairs and two single beds upstairs. We felt that the room standard wasn't really comparable to other hotels of similar price range that we have stayed in throughout Thailand. The bathroom was a bit cramped with no bath. The bed seemed a bit hard and the staircase may present problems for very small kids or older people. It could be that other rooms are more modern or have better facilities. We were comfortable but I just felt it was a little expensive for what we got. Facilities : We loved the two large pools (one closes at 7pm but the other remains open for longer which was nice). Also the hotel has recliners on the beach. There was always space and plenty of shade for those who need it (but early Aug isn't high season for them .. so maybe a diff story in Nov/ Dec). Food : Very good and reasonably priced. We often ate at the hotel which has a nice selection of Western and Thai menu s. The Italian Restaurant is excellent. SPA : My wife had foot massage pedicure etc and advised that the facilities were great and that the service was fantastic. Service : This is where we felt the hotel excelled. Any problems were swiftly dealt with and the service was always of a high standard and staff were always very friendly and helpful while at the same time not in any way intrusive. Gripe : I didn't like having to pay for the accomodation in advance as I felt completely locked in and no room for contingencies ... maybe something this hotel should really re-consider. Travel Tip : Bring lots of mosquito repellant :-) In the end a great place to stay. We would certainly stay there again .. but for far longer !

We stayed in the thai village opposite side of road next to the swimming pool. We definately recommend this great hotel with its 5 star service and accommodation to all who want real value for money. The food was outstanding and this being our tenth trip to Thailand ,we found Amari Palm Reef to be amongst the best stays in Koh Samui.
