Lovely,serene & peacefull spot right on the beach! Staff were lovely & very helpful. The food & service at the Baan Beach resort were fantastic, had yummy lunches & great fruit drinks. Restaurant is totally under utilised, great cooks.....brekkies were very well cooked, we just added eggs & bacon to our complimnetary continental brekkie & paid a little extra. We were totally relaxed, & enjoyed the friendly atmosphere & chatted to lots of mainly British fellow travellers. The fishing village restaurants were right outside our door. Very convenient. Many & varied choices, our favourite was Il Salotto, gorgeous staff, great Margaritas for a sunset drink & wonderful Italian & Thai food. We will def return to this heavenly spot. Happy Holidays!!

Great location,our first time to Bophut beach area. Liked the quietness of the fishermen\'s village area. Very comfortable bed, staff very friendly. Our only complaint would be the bath shower got the bathroom very wet, (no seperate closed shower area) and the towels were very worn, some torn and stained. Staff and owner very friendly.

It is obvious that a lot of thought has gone into the planning of the room and it was equal if not better than many 4 star hotels. The hotel is quiet and I notice that their booking conditions show restrictions regarding children which is a plus point for us. We would stay again if on Koh Samui

Baan Bophut is a quaint small hotel at the edge of fisherman's village in bophut beech. choose this if you want a) undisturbed beech time, b)just a few steps from your room to shore line & c) you like a quite & small hotel. The rooms & F&B is average & not great but to each to decide what is important for you. The staff were always very keen to help us out with our demands.

We stayed three nights there because we had booked but we were really disappointed. In the room they gave us the air conditioning did not work and it was necessary to wait one hour before they agree to change us room because I asked it. Second evening, there was a big thunderstorm and no more light in our new room while there was in the corridor and in the rooms close. We would consequently have appreciated a discount on the price of the room. It even has not been proposed... To end, room was not relly clean.

We stayed 4 nights as a family of 2 adults and 2 adult children (17 and 25). We were originally booked into the family suite but found the layout unsuitable for our needs. The hotel manager understood our problem and arranged for us to relocate into 2 beachfront rooms at no extra cost. These rooms were clean, roomy, had a good size bathroom and the king size bed was really comfortable....we all slept like babies!! The complimentary continental breakfast was fine, the staff substituted the croissant for toast if needed. The cocktails were great as was the lunch which was served to our recliners on the beach....great friendly service!!! We didn't dine at the hotel in the evening.While the sea was not super-clear it was a pleasant bath , especially at full tide when it was a little deeper in close. The hotel pool was clean, a lovely temperature and definitely not crowded.We found the location towards one end of Bophurt beach to be absolutely fine....handy to restaurants, shops of all types, bike hire, ATM's etc.Because the hotel is relatively small and had a no children policy, we enjoyed a quiet friendly environment without having to compete for facilities....it was great. I thoroughly recommend Baan Bophurt Hotel to anyone wanting a hassle-free beach front holiday in good quality facilities at a very reasonable rate.

I would like to comment on the good service and on time response by the Driver of Baan Bophut. The room is okay, its clean. However, the design of the bathroom is not good. Its open shower concept and the water flows all over the tiles. The sink below was leaking. All in all, its a good location but room quality is 2/5. Hopefully they will do repair job during low seasons, as i have feedback to owner.

We started our week long stay in ko samui at baan bophut and it was the perfect start to our vacation. Lucy and her staff are really friendly and always out to help that it feels like you ve just visited a long lost friend. The complementary breakfast in the BB package leaves something to be desired but the view from the room more than makes up for it. The hotel is located in a great area that allows you to come home to a quiet retreat while being minutes away from many of the restaurants and night spots we found recomended in the dining and nightlife guides. Although we found the kitchen to be closed fairly early the carpe diem cafe accross the street is quite good and is open till the wee hours of the morning which means that a cup of fresh cofee or a snack is always at hand. All in all this place is great value for money and scores very high on service.

Loved Bophut as an area it is really quaint and relaxing away from the hussle and bussle of Lamai and Chaewang. Baan Bophut is a lovely beach front property with lovely large rooms and bathrooms. The balconies are large with a couple of chairs to relax. The pool although not huge is lovely and deep. We only stayed 1 night but wished we could stay for longer. The breakfast is not buffet but plentiful and lovely and fresh. The restaurant is nice and the kitchen is one of the cleanest I have ever seen in Thailand. The Bophut area has lots of lovely restaurants all in walking distance with a strong European influence if you want to eat something other than Thai. Would definately return

really really nice little hotel. The small number of rooms (I think 10) meant you never felt overcrowded. We often had the pool or the beach to ourselves. The rooms are big and beds very comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. No compaints about hotel at all. The beach is a bit stony but hotel is at opposite end of beach to all other resorts so you have it to yourself. also positioned right in fishermans village which is fabulous.

nice building but the average price was higher than that the direct competitors around. The room are poorer compared to the exterior. Inconsistent management, not very present and friendly. The sea isn't good as expected from a top tropical location (not far there is a small river not exactly clean). Try to avoid the rooms on the ground floor (specially the n. 4) because really noisy. We had some problem at night with guests coming in shouting or drunk. If coming back to Samui definitely we will choose another hotel.

Expectations fomented by the pictures presented on the homepage and the allover good feedback of the other guests were 100% archieved. If you search for a calm place to get away from all but you won't miss the comfort of a hotel resort then you will enjoy Bhan Phoput Hotel which is located next to the fisherman village which offers a wide range of shops, massage and restaurants. This area seem to be very popular by the English. The beach in front of the hotel is quite flat and empty and you feel the beach belongs to you alone and no matter when the tide goes out you can use the own swimming pool in the garden. However real sunworhipper will have a daily fight for sun lounger. During our stay there were only 7 sunlounger for 13 rooms available. Unfortunately the penthouse do not allow you to back out of the beach to make yourself comfortable on the big seaview balcony the other rooms all have. Air Conditioning is availabe but sometimes a moskitonet would be advantageous. Altogehter we enjoyed our stay and would like to recommend this place warmly

Hotel was in a great location, great pool, nice beach, and helpful staff. The only issues we had was the bad smell of sewerage that would drift through the room and the very slow free wi-fi - seemed to about only slightly more than dial-up speed. Also don't expect the wifi to work in any room except the ones right near reception.

All the cheaper rooms had big balconies with sun chairs and we had a tiny standing room only balcony...a bit dissaapointing. The room is big though, but I would prefer a balcony. The staff are very friendly and nothing was ever a problem. You can hire motorcylce from the hotel at 250BT per day :) The hotel is a very easy 3 minute walk into the main area of Bophut...heaps of restuarants and little shops. Overall were happy with the hotel and location...thanks:)

This is a nice hotel which is in a good location. We booked the penthouse , but to be honest was a little dissapointed for the money.All the other rooms had nice big seaview balconies with comfy chairs...and the pentouse gets a standing room only balcony...would have been better off in a Seaview Hotel room. The hotel is only a 3 min walk to the heart of Bophut where there are a variety of eating places...but only a few offer true Thai food all the others are westernized Thai dishes and western food. We rented a motorcycle from the hotel for only 250Bt per day which was great...good way to see the place. The hotel staff are friendly and accommodating...pool is nice...ocean was nice...little outdoor bar was nice...would thoroughly reccomend this hotel...is good

Fantasctic place to stay ! Bophut beach is the best part of Samui and the Baan Bophut is a very nice and peacefull hotel with a great private beach. The hotel is new and offers all that you need (AC, fantactic view, restaurant etc). The quality is very good for the price. Be sure that you will love this place ! Lastly, the English owner (Lucy) and the staff are all VERY nice !

Our favourite place on Ko Samui to-date! Baan Bophut is a real haven and perfect for couples who just want to relax. With a no child policy and staff for whom nothing is too much, this english managed hotel is idyllic. Situated in Fisherman's Village both shops and restaurants are easily accessible on foot. The rooms are large, well-equipped, cleaned daily with very comfy beds. We shall definitely return!

We only stayed for one night in May. Because of the heavy rains earlier, the pool was out of use and beach by the hotel is not good for swimming, we checked out earlier than planned. There was also electricity black out for three hours and no water when we arrived. Hotel owner was very nice and polite. Rooms were beautiful and beds very comfortable. We upgraded our rooms to seaview when we arrived, and maybe because of that the rooms were not clean. Bophut beach was very quiet during low-season, it might be better stay during high-season. Nice restaurants nearby the hotel.

Baan Bophut Beach Hotel

This is the second time we have stayed at the Baan Bophut, and both times have been exceptional. Lucy and Johnny once again made us very welcome, and their manager, Tic, was an absolute sweetie - he went out of his way to organise a romantic dinner on the beach for us, and gave Mark some very handy fishing tips!! The beds are without doubt the most comfortable on the island, the rooms are very clean and very spacious, the location of the hotel is fantastic, being just a couple of minutes walk to the fab bars and restaurants of the Fishermans Village, and only 10 minutes by cab to Chaweng. The views from the balcony are breathtaking, and it is the perfect place to stay if you want to get away from it all and relax, but still have everything you could ever want more or less on your doorstep! We would highly recommend this hotel to anybody....... Thanks guys, see you again next year!!!
