This is a great little resort! Literally 2 mins walk to the beach (over the road), so good location, plus staff are super helpful & friendly. Room was basic, but with good A/C & nice little porch area. Highly recommended!

This is the perfect place to stay along Chaweng beach. It is set back behind the road with a short stroll to the beach and a 5 min walk to main shopping area. The pool area is amazing and the staff incredible - you really can't get better service on the island - nothing was too much for them. They also have one of the nicest hotel breakfasts I had over my entire trip (8 hotels over a month ranging in no stars to 5 star hotels ). This is my second stay at this hotel and I will go back again.

Baan Rom Mai is the place to be when you want a nice bungalow for a very reasonable price, on a quit spot, just, in a beautiful garden, and with very friendly, personal service. The breakfast may not be so high class, but it is good and simple, just what you need. It is two minutes to the beach, where it is not too crowded. And it is not a mass-destination, that too makes the athmosphere very nice. In the room itself I did not have internetacces always, but on the balcony I had.

这是我们时隔一年第二次住在这里，因为去年感觉这里挺好，今年就好不犹豫的预定了，还有一个原因是看到他们酒店有了新改进，增加了修建了一个游泳池，房费还包含了早餐。到了以后，第一眼就认出了那个友善的前台女士，我们都认出了对方。我们的房间是bunglow，在这个价位里算是很好的了，空间和设施绝对让你感到性价比超高，卫生间很大，有热水，简单够用。这个酒店是家庭式的，院子也不大，但是设计装饰的很有家庭情趣，尤其在那个新建的游泳池里游泳，在池边的沙滩椅上晒太阳，都很舒服，也可能是人少，基本上我们两个人独占了这个泳池，就真好像是我们自己家里的私人泳池一样。水很清，温度很好，20米左右长，还有一个儿童池，还带气浪按摩功能。酒店离海边很近，200-300米远，而且这一带的沙滩很浅，很静，很细。顺着沙滩往查温热闹区域溜达20分钟左右，就可以回到商业街道上找吃喝玩乐场所了。酒店门口就是family mart和7-11，很方便，价格没多大差别。在酒店往南走十分钟的路西侧新开了一个叫mini surper market 的商店，有些东西很便宜，例如芦荟膏180bath250ml的最大瓶装，在其他店是她的三倍价钱。除此，tops market也是主要的大型超市了，有水果卖，卖这一点好像没在查温的其他超市里见过。反正我们来过三次苏梅，没次都把这里作为主要采买点。tops market往南也新开了一家超市，里面更多是日用品和百货，某些东西还是比较便宜的，促销的酒或蚊香之类的。als hut往南有个比较大的boots店，里面有促销的50-60倍防晒霜便宜些。酒店的早餐是menu的，英式，美式，亚式等都有，但是免费的就是美式的，还可以，能吃的饱，而且还有果盘。正餐也可以提供，看菜谱种类不少，价格跟在外面餐馆查不多，略贵个10-20bath，也可以了。味道没有亲自品尝，不清楚。花这个价钱住这样的酒店绝对亏不着。我如果再来苏梅，还住这里没商量。我推荐一个朋今年春节来这里住了，回去跟我说很满意，很值，很自在，安静，而且带着小baby在泳池玩水，没别人，就像自己家的一样。酒店干净，服务很好，性价比高，舒服，安静远离闹区，推荐给大家。

I m extremely happy with Baan Rom Mai ever since I step here. Just today I had a problem during 15 minutes when suddenly, during my shower, the water became brown. After a while it was sorted but I had to finish my shower in the douche by the swimming pool, the only one with clean water this afternoon. Room is good but the ceiling need to be repaired, there are some gaps and geckos coming through from time to time. The staff is the BEST, very polite, courteous and helpful. The swimming pool is also great. I will definetly come back and recommend this hotel to all my friends and network.

Very nice people, clean and easy to reach. Very good place to go!! Bad notice only for Breakfast included every morning the same two slices of bread, jam, butter, juice coffee or tea two slices of pineapple and a watermelon. If you want something different you have to pay separately!!. Advise: a small buffet breakfast with cornflakes, yoghurt, bread, eggs, coffee, fruit.. I think will work great!!

Very god, book with confidence. The only flaw that at the time of booking for a room with extra bed, dont reports that the third person for breakfast was not included in the price, and if you wanted to have breakfast you had to pay separately.

That was our best Stay on Chaweng. The staff was very helpful and polite. The bungalows are bright and big enough and safe.The Roomwe have seen was good too. The Resort is guarded when the receptions is closed in the night.Beachtowels are available at the desk. Price for minibar: Beer 65THB and Cole and something like that 30 THB. The new Pool is very nice and clean.The beach is a few steps away,across the street and the Place Bungalows . The beach is some special concerning ebb and flow.In the ebbtime develop beauty sandbanks. Particularly suitable for kids swimming.Opposite the Resort you can rent a mopet for 150 THB per day.Warning before the laundry service in front of the Hotel. All our white Clothes are yellow now.All in all we'll come back.

Baan Rom Mai was great. I was looking for a place to stay just for the night which was near the beach. It was a place to rest our head and place our bags since we d be out all day. The staff there were incredibly nice and honest. The rooms were clean and basic, the staff were helpful and kind. One tip I do want to give if you want to book the ferry to Koh Tao. You can easily book it at the guest house you are staying at. Just make sure you have keep the ticket on you at all times and don't lose it. Best one to book is Seatran and NOT Lomprayah. Lomprayah was a huge problem for a lot of travellers, losing bags and overbooking the seats while SeaTran was very easy going and relaxed.

We went to Kho Samui for the first time and didn't know of any hotels. We chosed Baan Rom Mai because of the location and price. We booked 2 nights from home, but we stayed for 2 more nights because we liked the place very much. We got so much more than we paid for. Very nice staff,- good rooms for the price and a nice little garden with peace and quiet in the night. All in all we would like to go there again. We were 3 couples - age 42-70 years and all loved it!!!!

Was a great little place to stay. Not far from the centre of town. The room i stayed in had a fan and a large bed which was all i needed. It was advertised as a cold shower room, but did some hot water. The receptionist was very friendly despite having to work very long hours. Would definately come back and stay here.

The rooms are definitely value for money, with an AirCon that works like a refridgerator if you set it to it's coldest... a must have in Thailand. The location is away from the main drag of Chaweng beach, either by 20-30 minutes on foot or a quick five minute ride in the converted pick-up (tuk-tuk type things) at 50 Baht a head, so may be worth your while staying a little further out and paying a bit less, but having to trek into town. Also, airport transfer to the hotel is 120Baht per person when you pay for it at the airport, so skip the 400 Baht offer the hotel has when arriving.

if you need a place to stay away from the beach but just across the road then look no further.The resort is small,very clean and surrounded by a fantastic garden with water features,the delux a/c i stayed in had a small pond with carp just outside it.The staff are polite and provide a high standard of service.There is a small inter-net cafe on site and they have a selection of motor scooters for hire.With easy access to a local shop and the surrounding area i recommend Bann Rom Mai to all.

This Hotel was pretty great. We caught a bus/taxi from the pier for 60baht per person. Took us right to the entrance of Baan Rom Mai. The room was simple, no noise from other residents. The staff were really good and helpful, internet always worked, even in our room as it was close enough to the wifi signal. Bike rental was cheap only 150 per day. They even held our passports and keys while we went swimming for us. They even lent us beach towels for free. Would definitely stay there again.

We are a young couple and it was perfect for us, it was quiet and had no bar but we went to the strip everynight which is only 5-8 min walk. Air-con room is a must though, fan room v basic.

Ich war jetzt schon mehrmals im Baan Room Mai und muss sagen das es die perfekte Location ist. 1.) ist man weit genug weg von dem ganzen Trubel in Chaweng aber immer noch nah genung um da mal eben schnell hin zu gehen. 2.) in der Nähe des Hotels befinden sich die Wohnungen der meisten roten Taxi Fahrer was bedeutet das man ruckzuck nen Transport an der Hand hat. 3.) der Strand ist nur einen Katzensprung entfernt. 4.) Service absolut der Hammer. Nui und ihr Team sind wirklich für einen da und Extra Wünsche wie Frühstück ans Bett o.Ä. werden erfüllt. 5.) Zimmerservice ist tip topp weil immer sauber und frische Bettwäsche muss man nicht erst anfordern die kommt automatisch. 5.1) Zimmerservice beklaut einen nicht da kann man alles liegen lassen und es kommt nichts weg. 6.) Roller mieten, wer seinen Roller woanders mietet ist selbst dran schuld weil selbst wenn man mal die Roller kaputt macht bekommt man keine Rechnung mit irgendwelchen Mondpreisen und der Mietpreis ist auch günstig. 5.) Lesestoff ist auch genügend vorhanden 6.) Wireless Lan/ Internetzugang kostenlos verfügbar. 7.) Wäscheservice ist im Hotel auch vorhanden und liefert absolut spitze Ergebnisse bei günstigem Preis. 8.)Ausflüge kann man auch dort buchen. 9.)Ambiente des Gartens ---> wunderschön Danke Nui und Ihrem Team ich werde mit Nok wiederkommen verlast euch drauf ich hab euch lieb.

We stayed here for 6 nights, the garden is very pertty and our room was very clean, basic but that didn't matter to us on a budget. The staff are lovely and theres free wifi in the reception and the internet is very cheap too. I would recommend staying here if travelling on a budget as it is not far from the action in Chaweng. The beach is just across the main road down a cut, the beach is quiet and transformed at evening into an array of restaurants and bars. We loved it!

За смешные деньги здесь сдают уютные отдельные бунгало в тихом, очень симпатичном садике. Все заведение настолько крошечное, что с трудом можно назвать отелем. Похоже мы жили здесь одни – соседей не было видно. В садике есть замечательное место для ночных тусовок – столик перед водопадом. Перед нашим бунгало – крошечный водопадик и декоративная лужица с рыбками. Внутри втроем тесновато. Ванна не пропорционально большая, душ ни как не отделен и весь пол перед унитазом и раковиной утопает при его использовании. Полотенца меняли ежедневно, постель, похоже, тоже (а может просто заправляли – просто все всегда чисто). Чаевые можно и не оставлять – на качество уборки не влияет. Бесплатный WiFi глючит, но все-таки есть. Персонал максимально приветлив, с reception выбегают тебе на встречу отдать ключ, забрать полотенца. Полотенца на пляж дают каждый день новые. Своего пляжа нет. На пляже отеля, который прямо за дорогой, вообще нет лежаков. Пользовались лежаками, душем и бассейном отеля Tango – никто не возражал. Дорогу в отеле не слышно, самолеты летают рядом, но спать не мешают. На пляже тихо, спокойно, малолюдно. Для купания идеальна песчаная коса. Прямо у выхода из отеля на дорогу слева магазинчик Family Mart, справа дешевая и чистая кафешка. Так что с завтраками и обедами никаких проблем. Единственная беда – вход на территорию через задние дворы, мимо авторемонтов и свалок ржавых авто. Жуть. Если б таксист не показал, где собственно вход в отель – и не нашли бы. Никакой вывески или чего-то похожего на вход.

Hotel entrance starts to give you a bad feeling. But when you re in , you see this is no problem at all. Kind & friendly staff & personnel. It takes only 2-3 minutes to the beach, right at a nice reggae baeachbar for relaxed sit and drink on the beach. Clean and all necessary needs are there so take it.

Hotel très sympa, nous avions un bungalow, il n y en a que 7, c est donc très familial. Bon accueil, très propre! L avantage, c est qu on peut dormir tranquilement le soir ce qui n est pas le cas des hotels sur la plage situés à coté des bars!!! A 500m à pied du centre, superbe jardin tropical, très bon rapport qualité/prix!!

LOVED IT! I felt as if I was there living in the true nature of koh samui. The hotel staff if very friendly and I had no problems at all. I would caution those who are not used to roughing it. there is no tv, phone, etc.-just the basics-toilet, shower, and bed. That is all you need when you are on an island. I am not a fan of overpriced hotels that are run by individuals who are not natives. It is slightly tucked but still extremely easy to get to the beach-The easiest way is through Amari Hotel's driveway.

Baan Rom Mai is a great little hotel with very friendly and helpful staff as well as a great choice of varied accomodation I do reccomend the air conditioned rooms or the bugalows as we had friends stay in the fan rooms and they sweated the night away! When you are in Samui be prepared for taxi drivers to not know where Baan Rom Mai is so when arriving from the airport take the transfer service Baan Rom Mai provides even though it costs 400bht. For the rest of the tri ask taxi's to drop you off at Your Place (another hotel) or the Amari Resort as they know where they are and its a quick walk down to Baan Rom Mai from there. When we arrived at Baan Rom Mai I was a little concered as it is tucked away behind a scooter garage on a dirt road and we couldn't see Chaweng Beach at all! But we soon discovered that it was literally a two minute walk to the beach along the pathway through the Your Place hotel (opposite Family Mart which is on the corner of the main road and the dirt road Baan Room Mai is on) Other then those few things Baan Rom Mai was a great place to stay with the cheapest and best internet service we can across on our whole trip - 1bht a mintue! with beautiful gardens and a relaxed atmosphere. If you are concerned about the safety of your belongings they offer safety deposit boxes at the front desk free of charge but we just kept our stuff locked up in our luggage in the room. The T.V was great as was the scooter rental they offer from the front desk We booked all our adventures with the front desk and they always obliged with a smile and with a genuine concern that we weren't getting ripped off! Have a great stay at Baan Rom Mai and if you are going in a big group (we went with 11 people) definately stay there as we had a great time relaxing andd drinking around the hotel. If you are going as a couple spend the little extra and stay in the bungalow - they re private and have a garden view - very romantic! Youll have a great time in Samui in Baan Rom Mai it's not the Ritz but for the price it's a wonderful little hotel!

What an absolute delight and pleasure. For the amount of money that was paid on accomodation we were so impressed. The people were so helpful and friendly. Our room was small but clean, the aircondtioner was perfect and we had hot water. What more could anyone ask for?? The location for us was perfect as it is on the quiet side of the road, and we did not mind the walk back after dinner. The only advice I have is don't book a transfer from the airport to your hotel that cost us THB 400 and it should only cost THB 100 from the airport to the hotel with a taxi who are available at a snap of your finger. Stunning holiday.

There are some building works on the roadside in front of Ban Rom Mai (BRM) but don't let this put you off. BRM is set back from the road, in beautiful gardens with tranquil water features and ample seating areas. The lady on reception is extremely helpful, breakfast is excellent value and the rooms are clean and have good facilities. Its only a few minutes walk from the beach and shops (if you walk slowly!). It has the benefits of being at the quiet end of the beach but with lovely beachside restaurants only a stroll away and nightlife easily accessible if that's your preference.

Baan Rom Mai is a nice, simple place located in North Chaweng. As it is located far up Chaweng beach near the International Hospital, it is very quiet and peaceful and has a lovely garden. It takes about 10-15 minutes to get to the heart of Chaweng. The price is reasonable, but if you want to be in the middle of the action, I m sure that you can find somewhere for an equivalent price which is not so far out.

Just great! Very friendly and helpful staff, nice & very clean rooms, rooms were cleaned every day. Perfect location: 2 minutes walking to the beach, walking distance from everything (which was not an unpleasant walk :) ) and still not in the center of drunken tourist area. Nice breakfast and a lovely little garden for relaxation.
