Accommodation and facilities:
This place needs an update. It was perfect for what we used it for. A jump off point to Koh Tao and Phangan. The beach was great the chairs were always available and the beer was cold. Water pressure in the showers were great. After that I would say the room was dirty, the bed was not confortable, the walls need serious paint and the service was average. i think we will spend another $15 a night next time even if it is just for a place to keep our bags.

Останавливался в отеле в начале января 2012. Отель очень маленький. У меня был номер средней ценовой категории (бунгало, кондиционер, горячая вода). Отель находится на пляже Lamai, расположение очень удачно – рядом центральная улица и куча торговых точек, но они находятся чуть дальше по улице и их особо не слышно. Русских в отеле не видел, в основном были англоязычные постояльцы категории близкой к молодежи (причина – низкая цена номеров). В номере помимо кондиционера, горячей воды и плохо показывающего ТВ ничего не было – ни чайника, ни питьевой воды, ни шампуня, что весьма необычно. Ресепшен находится на пляже, причем это не ресепшен в стандартном понимании – какая-то точка общепита. Там же находится обычная тумбочка, закрывающаяся на ключ, являющаяся по совместительству сейфом: тебе выдают бумажный конверт, туда кладешь свои вещи, его убирают в эту тумбочку и все, доступ к сейфу только в дневное время. Убирались в номере хорошо, полотенца меняли ежедневно. Пляж находится в 50 метрах, море нормальное, только каждый день были немаленькие волны. Бронировал через siameservices.com , предоплата была 50%, остальную часть доплачивал на месте, при оплате по карте взяли дополнительно комиссию 3%. Ваучер на заселение не высылают. При заселении попросили только паспорт. В номере периодически на 2-3 минуты пропадала вода – куда она девалась, остается загадкой. Завтрак в отеле отсутствует, но рядом много кафешек, где можно хорошо позавтракать от 80 бат и выше. Wifi в отеле отсутствовал, но его можно было найти в соседних кафешках или массажных салонах. Плюсы отеля: - месторасположение - рядом пляж - низкая цена Минусы: - непонятный сейф - проблемы с водой периодически - отсутствие в номере чайника, кружек, питьевой воды, шампуня и т.п. В следующий раз если остановлюсь в этом отеле, но выберу номер получше. А так отель соответствует своей ценовой категории.

Would definitely recommend anyone stay here. A quiet beach-front resort away from the main street, but close enough to everything that it's within a few minute's walk. The staff absolutely make the resort; they are amazing! Kind, patient, friendly, helpful, everything you could ask for. The food at the restaurant is really good and at a very good price. My only suggestion for anyone considering staying here is not to stay in the Deluxe Family Seaview room. I was really disappointed in the view , which was a bit of ocean on either side of the back of the bar, with the front of my bungalow used for storage. Not worth the price of the room to me, compared to the other bungalows. The room was lovely, but unless you need one king sized bed and a single bed, stick with the regular rooms, because they re fantastic as well! This is the only reason for my below expectations comment on the quality, not a comment on the interior of the bungalow, which was immaculate.

Das magic Resort ist gut gelegen, bei den Mittarbeiter hat sich vor allem ein Männlicher besonders hervorgetan. Den Namen weiss ich nicht aber aktiv und äusserst aufmerksam. Der rest der Mittarbeiter hatte nicht so im übereifer brilliert, so etwa im style schlaftablette, food Ok. Ich hatte einen Fan Bungalow für etwas über 500 Bath, kalt Wasser zum Duschen ist am anfang etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig sonst kann mann günstig leben. Zimmer wurden erst nach 3 tagen mal geputzt lag vieleicht auch daran das sie keinen Schlüssel zum Vorhängeschloss hatten. Nach fünf Tagen sind wir in ein anderes hotel gezogen weil wir doch etwas mehr Komfort gewünsch hatten und keine geeigneten Bungalows mehr frei waren. Die Teureren sehen doch recht schön aus, die Fan Bungalows sind halt Thermiten zerfressene Hüttchen mit abstrichen. Gesammteindruck geht so.

Stayed in a wooden fan bungalow over Christmas. Room was clean and comfortable. Cleaned every two days with fresh bed linen and towels. Not much storage for clothes etc. Only had cold shower which was too cold for cool season (would be ok in hot season!). Nice little balcony to sit on and only 20 seconds to the beach. Nice restaurant, good food, reasonably priced. Sunbeds free of charge. Close location to bars and nightlife. Free internet and wifi (but wifi only in communial area, not bungalow). Friendly staff.

Nice clean deluxe bungalows, friendly staff, small but green territory, own sunbeds and restaurant on the beach, do not have beach towels. There are no soap and small shampoo in the bathroom.Bungalow was cleaned every day. Convenient location in the centre of Lamai beach, a few steps to restaurants, ATM, small souvenirs stores and walking distance to Tesco. They require a deposit 1000 Bath. It was very noisy during all the nights, I can not sleep due to so called night securities. They shouted, laughted and talked loud with each other up to 4:OO AM.

We arrived the 18th of Dec and spent 10 days in a 2 deluxe cottages. We had to change one of the 2 rooms because the lock did not work. The rooms are very clean, with cleaning and new towels every day. The breakfast included in our rate was fantastic, you could choose anything you wanted, that was freshly made upon order. Good also for lunch or dinner on the beach. Very friendly and good service. Good location on the beach. Sunbeds are available. In general it is hard to go to other beaches in Samui and pay for a sunbed, most hotels only provide them for guests. Lamai beach is very nice, but the waves are sometimes huge and make it a struggle to get in or out of the water.

Generally it is a nice resort where I think you can spend a nice time, but if you deside to choose this resort make sure that you don't get the Bungalow Nr. 12 where we had to sleep. The huge ants colony in the bathroom and the shabby wood gave us the impression that nobody cares for this place. I just think it should be cleaner and maybe the rooms need some more care and renovation.

booked 21 days on internet arrived 2030had to walk 100meters to hut on the beach who then askedfor 26000baht balance of holiday i refused until i had seen room was shown room no towels no toilet tissue had to walk down again to ask for them.in room 1 glass in room and a rusty bottle opener were only extras.no safe available only a lock up wardrobe which the back could be lifted off.could not get air conditioning down low had been set at 1 temperature(SPOKE TO 2 ENGLISH GUYS NEXY DAY WHO HAD SAME PROBLEM iwas paying 2000baht a night they were paying1300baht. deposit none refundable so stayed i week on taking key back was asked for 30 baht for a bottle of water that was missing from fridgei refused because was leaving 2600baht from 1 night i was not using would NOT RECCOMEND this place to someone i didnt like never mind to someone i did like booked into THE SAMUI PALACE for me and my wifes last to weeks and had a wonderful time

Ursprünglich wollten wir (Familie mit zwei Söhnen - 1 Jahr und 4 Jahre) nur vier Nächte bleiben - und es wurden acht. Die Bungalows waren sauber und auch ein Babybett war vorhanden. Besonders begeistert hat uns, dass wir gleich am Strand waren. Die Liegen waren absolut bequem und das Strandrestaurant hatte eine sehr schöne Atmosphäre. Das Personal war toll. Wir werden unsere schöne Zeit im Magic-Resort nie vergessen.

Great location on a terrific part of the beach. Rooms are small but clean. Staff is very friendly; we d not hesitate to stay here again! FYI: the Magic provides laundry service and airport transportation, all you have to do is ask at the office/bar. Bring your own beach towels, soap and shampoo.

The bungalows looked nice on the website, but coming to the resort I have admit, was a disappointment. The seaview bungalow was basically a bungalow with the windows facing the backside of the bar and outdoor reception where the people passed by and stared into your bedroom.Ok, a glimpse of the sea was there, but nevertheless. This was a crowded and noisy part of the beach, so there are much nicer resorts if you look around. Rooms were clean, but with no water boiler and really with the bare necessitites. We ended up staying at Bayview resort, a beautiful, cozy and peaceful resort in serene surroundings, approx 2 km from the center of Lamai. However, the seawater here is too shallow and you have to walk your way to the town to really be able to swim in the sea. Neverthless, you can take walks along the beach, visit the five star hotel Renaissance next door and it only takes a 20-30 min walk to go downtown (and on your way you can have your breakfast/luch/dinner at radiance, a restaurant connected to Spa samui and that can really be recommended for its delicious and healthy kitchen and a wonderful list of smoothies and healthy juices). We spend a wonderfull 10 day stay at the Macig Resort in Lamai. Everything was just great. The bungalow had a good size, was clean, good situated, the food in the restaurand was excellent, the staff very friendly. We will surly come again, and can recommend this small and very relaxing Resort to anybody wishing to spend quiered and romantic holidays

We stayed in a Family Deluxe Bungalow, very good accomodation, not so good customer service. as we wanted a beach front bungalow we paid for a family room for just 2 people, we were moved the day before our stay here finished as they had only 1 beach front bungalow and someone else had also booked it. - The way the whole thing was approached to us and excuted was awful. to be honest it did put a downer on this part of our holiday.

Convenient location right by the beach. They had made a mistake and not booked me in for my first night so they put me in a deluxe suite instead of the basic bungalow I had booked for that night (no complaints there! It was a beautiful air conditioned room with marble floors, power shower and TV!) then I moved for the rest of the stay into the bungalow. It was fine, basic but cheap and had everything I needed. The manageress was very nice and helpful, as were the bar/restaurant staff on the beach (with the exception of one grumpy lady who seemed to have forgotten that Thailand is the land of smiles). Very close by was an excellent restaurant called J Jing Jai - a vegetarian restaurant although it served meat dishes too and the staff there were the nicest people I met in my whole time on Samui. Would recommend it as long as you re happy to go basic.

Seaview bungalow nice inside but it's situated behind the bar and next to the restaurant under roof and to the kitchen. Nota nice setting as you would think. The whole resort dies not give a good outside apperance, so I would go somewhere else for my next stay. BUT the personell is kind, food good and closeness to the beach good. But if you want to sit on your balcony in the evening or not be jkept awake some night and not wake up early in the morning - pick somewhere else.

Ich bekam am ersten Tag einen Bungalow mit völlig desolatem Bad mit allen nur erdenklichen Getier.Entlich nach drei Tagen bekam ich einen sauberen Bungalow.Konnte am Strand beobachten wie der Mann der Betriebsleiterin[Fr.Goi]die Leute der von ihm vermieteten Jet Skier nach angeblichen Kratzern am Unterboden mit mindestens 300 Euro an Wiedergutmachung ²abkassierte².Das ist eine Abzocke an Touristen die dorthin nicht mehr kommen werden.Werde dieses Resort sicher nicht weiderempfehlen.

The staff is very friendly and helpful.The beach is very-very close to the room. It is about 2-3minutes by walk. The hotel restaurant's prices are comparatively cheap and tasty. The hotel was very good. It is small but it was our choice. Our booked family see view bungalow was ready for us and it was located directly on the beach. The staff was very friendly. There are 4-5 new (one year old) bungalows and old bungalows (with fan). Room was very clean without any animals inside. Food was OK. I'll recommend this hotel to everybody who wants to stay in small quiet hotel on the beach.

Very nice. Staff were lovely and accomodating, it was right on the beach, had very nice food, and also located on Lamai's main strip. However nightlife at Lamai Beach isn't that great. Chaweng is better if you want nightlife.

We wanted to stay 3 days at Magic Resort before leaving to the other islands - an stayed 8 days! At the end of our journey we came back for another 3 nights. It was like coming home. Great staff, very friendly people - hi to John & the girls from the massage! I can just recommend the Resort to everybody. It's located in the middle of Lamai Beach, very good bungalows, clean & with a good atmosphere. I m counting the days to go back!

Very next to the center of the nighttime life... but without having involved in the chaos and in the confusion... Good the food.... very nice the boys that work us.... exceptional the girls of the massages.... the available comprehensive easy-going good nice cordial owners.... thing to want more??? the rooms??? a detail.... lovely people and very friendly staff! the resort is very simple and our toilet did break but they were very keen to fix it and do anything to help us in the meantime! beach was beautiful and the food was good! probably more suited to backpackers than honeymooning couples! we actually stayed longer we enjoyed it so much!

i am the 2nd time in the magic resort and it´s a very nice place for holliday.the management and the staff are very friendly and proffesional.the bungalow was clean and you get more that you pay.the restaurant is the best on the lamai beach but some day´s you get no table in the evening.many thanks to the managment and see you next year again.take care, best regards, roman

Bungalows is clean and simple, location is good, very close to the beach, breakfast is served in the restaurant on the beach, nice staff, good price and excellent service. Near shopping and other restaurants. I will stay at Magic Resort again if I come to Koh Samui.

Close to downtown but still quiet. Place was small, price was right. If all you need is a shower an a bed. Staff was very help-ful and nice. I d stay there again.
