Stayed for 10 days. Hotel is located end of main beach road so if you dont have a bike the walk is not something l could do everyday. Beach is ok just a stroll over a small walkway where you can use hotels sunchairs for free(only if you can get there at 5am and reserve a seat because the russians come and lay down multiple towels on seats and go back to their rooms) Found the beach nicer towards left of hotel in the public part of chaweng. Food very standard 1 meat dish in 10 days of staying there and hotel mainly russians. Liked the swimming pool as we had delux room on ground floor. No lift in hotel and staff are just ok. Again if your without a bike think about location or try Nora hotel which is more central.

The hotel is nice, but old and not repaired, there was no hot water, although all the technical means to do so were the sheets on the first day was torn. A lot of people on the beach and not enough sun beds. The next time will not stop at this hotel.

Отель, по-честному, не понравился. Хотя номер хороший, хоть и с видом на стену, но всё есть, чисто, красиво, удобно. Завтраки просто сногсшибательные - выбор огромный и всё оооочень вкусное, НО!!!! Расположение отеля дурацкое! До центра чавенга идти минут 30, хотя бы чтобы поесть, пляжа нет! - это самый конец - стоянка местных тайцев с лодками. Шезлонгов нет ВООБЩЕ на пляже - или на полотенце или плати 200 бат за шезлонг другого отеля. И очень много русских!

Were his wife at First House Samui 24.02.2011-09.03.2011. Everything was great, booked a Standard room on the internet, but on arrival we did not really like it (view from the room) and we ordered the upgrade to a Superior room for a small cash (oficially, by the bill). From the sea the hotel is 2 minutes away. No problems with sun chairs (almost). On a nearby beach (First Bungalow) chase customers First House (although a hotel owner). The method to solve this problem was a conversations with stuff, and stuff droped out First Bungalow guests from First House chairs (so they free sun chairs for us) :) All in all a very convenient location across from the hotel hangouts:) were satisfied with everything. The rooms were cleaned every day and qualitatively. If the next time will be able to get out in Thailand on Koh Samui, be sure to again choose this particular hotel ;-)

A good 3 star hotel, clean rooms, great staff. The standard room is simple but is a great value for the cost. The hotel is located near the Chaweng beach, about 10 minutes walk to the the center - restaurants, pubs and suit shops. Taxi is 50 Baht a person. The location is very quiet and the hotel has a great private beach about 100 meters from the rooms. Overall - recommended.

A good value hotel for families and the best bit of beach on Koh Samui. It's basic and he beds are a little firm, but the mini bar is cheap and there are good facilities. The breakfast was cold when we ate - around 9:30 am, so get up early if you want the hot stuff hot..We didn't eat at the hotel although we have before, but it's middle of the road fare. For a great steak, try the outpost just around the corner from the hotel

We booked a standard room, cheapest category. For us the location is very good:at the south end of chaweng beach and far enough away from the center of chaweng,so it is not too loud;but you can walk within 5 minutes to the center. In our building, when someone closes his door, you can hear it in night in every other room loudly, sometimes we wake up from this. The breakfast was not international standard, but it was value for money.

Overall a very good hotel for the money. Buffet breakfast and for the most part you can eat it all. They have their own beach and beach chairs are free.... beware though, if you dont arrive at beach before 9am you wont get a chair since as usual when german and russia people travle they cant behave....and they wake at 4 am to put towels on chairs. About 5 minutes of walk towards the center, VERY hot though.

As always the DELUXE ROOMS AT THE SAMUI 1st House were spotless. I have stayed there 6 times in the last 4 years and each time has been terrific. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The location is perfect close to town but just far enough away to avoid all the hustle and bustle asociated with being in the center of town. As always, THANKS and I hope to see you again soon.

Restaurant prices expensive, but there is a restaurant very close by with cheap and tasty food. Minimarts very handy.

Our stay at Samui First House was not the best. Although the location is really good right next to the beach and close to Chaweng Road the hotel itself is in need of a good clean. The room was very budget, the sheets didn't get changed during out stay, the air con was leaking, there were ants everywhere and staff were very unhelpfull and not friendly. I would not recommend this hotel.

this hotel is generally clean and efficient, however when we arrived we did have to change rooms because there were some lice-type insects on the beds, so we were quickly moved. They made no offer of discount or compensation for this. The best thing about the hotel was the pancake man on the corner! Location is ok, we rented a motorbike anyway to get into Chaweng as its a long walk in the heat. It is also quite quiet.

Hotel is o.k.: quiet, friendly staff, price is o.k.. I would come back again. I got a good room. Not all the rooms seem to be good, some have no view - you can only see the next Building. I had to do check out at 12.00 o clock. For the shower thei gave me a dirty toilet-room without aircon or fan... - I would recommend the hotel to give the guests a nice room to do the shower before traveling home - this costs not much but would give the guests a better value. ALL IN ALL: If you want a cheap, clean room with aircon and good access to Chaweng and Chaweng Noi Beach, then is this hotel a good Choice.

Well, where do I start? What a find, its a gem for sure! I have to start with the staff, because thats where it starts, with a heartfelt welcome, they can't do enough for you, friendly, polite, helpful, doesn't do them justice really. Ideal if you want to be away from the hustle and bustle of the centre but a nice walk in when you want it or a short bus ride for 50baht. The rooms were very clean, spacious enough, everything you need. Breakfast was fine, like most others. The pool was a good size, and I don't think the pictures on siameservices do it justice. And definitely the best end of the beach by a mile. This hotel provides exactly what it says Luxury Budget .

The beach here is so much cleaner and nicer than the main part of chaweng and a hell of a lot quieter .The breakfast is average but OK still. The rooms are modern and well maintained and very clean.We enjoyed our stay here but it is about a 15min walk to the center of chaweng.Not a problem if you enjoy walking,or hire a scooter.its only 50 baht to get the truck into town anyway if u cant be stuffed.I would stay here again....

Very nice and a great choice especially for familys with children. One of the best (if not the best) beach, Chaweng Noi, 50 meters from the hotel. The hotel location wasnt ideal but still good, it costs about 100 BHT to get into town. There was a beach right at the door which was gorgeous and not too busy! I can recommend if your have child and lika a quiet place to stay. Swiminpool clean and big enough(obs. no baby pool) Its only 3 min walk to beach and its wery nice. Can also recomend a little Thai restuarant on left side on beach. he can make a fish barbecu in evening if you order 1 day before. If you like shopping and bars you may book clooser to city town. We have a great holiday and rooms its great.Breakfast is ok and stabs is very friendley. Little problem is that they not can much english. I will come back. I was really happy with this hotel. It was exactly as described on this website. The hotel is clean, great breakfast in the morning, good food for lunch & dinner, wide spectrum of food to select from, provides chairs and umbrellas on the beach. The beach hut bar was key for end of the day beers and sunsets and the beach side massages are worth it. Nothing like watching the waves come in as you get massaged. The staff doesn't speak great English (why would they) but good enough to help me along. They really impressed me my last day. I slept through my wakeup call and the front desk guy came to my room, woke me up, checked me out, and held my taxi so I could make my flight. You could walk to the center of Cha Wang but for 50 bat you can get a taxi or tuk tuk into town. I would return and recommend to people looking for a cheap hotel. Perfect hotel for me and my wife vacation. Very near to beautiful beaches Chaweng Beach (<5 minute walk) an near town (<15 minute walk).Very friendly hotel staff. Hotel have big and clean room, nice pool and internet facility also near by hotel have a lot of tour/trip/rent bike agency, so convenient. Sure will book this hotel for my next trip to Koh Samui.

The hotel is located near a small beach and have a few free sun beds for hotel guests. Otherwise the location is quite far from the main area of Chaweng, about 15-25 minutes walk. The hotel looks much better on the site than it actually was. The standard rooms are normal size but with very small bathrooms and NO balcony or safety box in room for the standard rooms. Please be aware that the bed is very very hard!!! Standard rooms are all located in another building near the main building shown on the pictures. There is a small gym located in the same building, only 150 baht for 1 hour. Breafast was ok and the pool area as well ( only a few sun beds though)If no pool is needed for your stay I would instead of paying 1400-1600 baht per night for this room, recommend the Colibri guesthouse (street, Soi Colibri) with balcony, big and clean rooms and soft nice beds for only 700 baht per night. However then breakfast is not included but its closer to main beach and shopping.

Location is far from the center and buzz. Main building provides good deluxe rooms (good for 3-star hotel I d say) Some very beautiful inner yard with pool. The beach is good, and it is less then 5min from the main building. Personnel are extremely kind and helpful (although their English could be better) Restaurant food is delicious although not very cheap. I’d recommend to eat at the hotel ‘cause once we had dinner in the center of Chaweng at some sidewalk restaurant and got poisoned badly after that. So watch out! Anyways staying at hotel was a good thing to remember. I’d recommend staying in deluxe rooms on this hotel.

I stayed in Samui First House Hotel with a friend for 3 days as we were island hopping. I had read positive reviews of the hotel, and indeed it was well worth the money we paid for this hotel. The room was clean, although no elevators. But what made our stay most enjoyable was the staff. They were terrific and very sweet. Made us feel at home. Also nice pool and adjoining beach. I recommend this hotel to anyone.

I had booked a standard room & none of the standard room is facing the beach. I think they should clarrify this in their sites which only talk abt that the hotel is on the beach. Also the staff is not at all co operative because we had to check out early in the morning & they ended up giving a breakfast box with just 2 pcs of bread. But when they refused to adjust the breakfast the day I checked in. The Aircon in my room leaks every morning as soon as you shut down. They made us wait for 1 hr in the reception because we reached there at 8 am since we were travelling in bus.

Hotel was very clean and spacious, towels and bedding changed daily and room cleaned everyday. Staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. Loction wasn't too bad but the walk into the centre of town was a bit dark at night. All in all it was a very good hotel and would definitely stay here again.

We were very pleased with our stay at Samui First House Hotel. We were 5 people who stayed in a family room that was very spacious and nice. Cleaning and service where excellent. The restaurant served very fresh and well tasty food. The staff where kind and helpful although not so god at speaking English but they always tried their best to help us. The beach where only a 5 minutes walk from the hotel and as we found out during our stay, one of the finest and cleanest beaches on the east side of Koh Samui. A hotel to recommend.

i stayed here with my wife and 2 daughters, the room was the family accomidation and suited us vary well. the staff were excellent and freindly, breakfast was also a good variety. the beach is about 50 metres from the hotel and is is most probaly to best beach on Samui. the hotel is about 15min walk to the main drag but i reccomend no matter were you stay in samui to get a motor bike, scooter. we hired 2 for the time that we stayed there and dinked our kids (6 and 8) every were also going around the entire island, it is the best way to get around and no haggling for taxi or tuk tuk. all in all i would recomend Samui first house as a place to stay. well priced and located not to far from the busy main street at chewang but far enough that you can have peicefull stay.

Very friendly staff (maybe the best about this hotel) Hotel is just next to the city sour which some times smells a lot. Hotel massage very good (also for the kids) Pool area good and beach okay. Room were also okay for the price and clean. Live music was good but needs a little bigger repertoire if you are staying more than a few days. Food was also good, but not great. City was very much the same all over, but managed to find a great tailor, but not much more good deals. Everything seems a little more expensive at Chaweng than Bangkok. However if you are looking for tailor go to Big Boss tailor, he is very good. I bought 3 suits and wife 1 dress a top and got some dresses from home changed. All fitting perfect and very good quality stitching. Give him this reference number (1575) and you will get a good deal and get yourself a set of suit you will be satisfied with. Remember to say hello from meƒº All in All a great stay at a cheap an quite nice hotel And ones more¡K. The staff¡K give those people a raise they really deserves it.

Looking at several other beach bungalow resorts at Chaweng Beach, we were very happy to be in First House hotel. It is clean, quiet, relaxed and comfortable. Walking distance on the beach to edge of town about 15 min, to center about 20 - 30 min (McDonalds, Starbucks!). We had 1 Deluxe Room (2 adults, 2 children - one on infl. mattress on the floor) and 1 Standard room. The Deluxe room was spacy and clean (apart from the unavoidable cockroaches that occasionally find their way into the room - but you'll have them anywhere in this climate, even with 5 stars). Standard room clean but small and quite basic (e.g. just one large towel/person). Both rooms had slightly noisy aircons, but we got used to it. Very clean 20m pool, much larger than in most beach resorts. Unlimited free beach/pool towels. Fairly nice breakfast buffet (7 - 10 a.m.). Restaurant not that great. (Dining tip: Sans Soucci resort, about 10 min up Chaweng main beach. Good, reasonable and flexible for extra wishes.) 3 PCs at reception area with slow internet for about 10 Bht/min. Small play area for toddlers. Beach: main Chaweng beach starts 3 min from hotel: nice and quite clean, but a bit bland to us. Separated by a small, slightly smelly river, there is Chaweng South beach, only 1 min from hotel over a small bridge: as nice as main beach, but a bit smaller and secluded feeling, a large collection of rocks on one side for fishing and climbing for older kids - very nice! Both beaches have very shallow, secure water for swimming, ideal for small kids. Many fish around the rocks you can watch from knee depth. Both beaches lack shade (South beach is better) but there are umbrellas to hide under. For my family this was the nicest beach we have seen so far, and a very pleasant hotel to complete the experience - highly recommended. Last tip: don't snorkel of dive near Samui. Very poor visibility! A trip to Koh Tao is really worthwhile.

Great hotel, clean rooms and excellant staff. Breakfast was good and again all the staff were really friendly. No problems bringing guests to room. Only point is there is a dirty creek behind the hotel that goes directly into the ocean. Worth a small walk up the beach or a trip to lamai. Nice beaches. Hotel recommended!

I liked First Samui House very much. With more or less a private beach and nice pool we loved it. A short walk to the main shopping area and the hotel has some place you can rent car/motor bike if needed. They do need to work on there English. Also they have a vehicle to take you to the airport but it is a cost to you. I think when I stay at a hotel and book for 5 days that should include round trip to the airport, not one way.

The hotel is not located at the heart of the Chawang beach, but it is only few minutes of walking from all the shops, bars and restaurants.

hotellet ligger rätt långt från city, ca 200 bath med tuk tuk, mellan poolen och havet går avloppsbäcken till havet. luktar inte alltid så gott. ingen fara när man är på hotellet. bara när man ska gå till stranden. frukosten är bra men mer inriktad på amerikansk stil än kontinental. hotellet hade en dålig service på stranden fick säga till i receptionen när man ville ha ett parasoll. dåligt! bra snorkling precis på stranden, bättre än snorklingsturen till marina nationalparken. bygget som det står om ÄR störande om man bor i sidobyggnaden. trevlig personal som städar och de som står i receptionen.
