My wife, three kids and I stayed at Seaview (at the beach, second row of villas from beach) for 30 days during June and July 2009, right at the end of the hot season and introduction of the rains. This was one of the best deals on the island and we found the villa to be as described! Pool access is unique, but conveniently available offsite for no additional cost to the guests; my kids loved it. The beach is shallow (great for young children like my 4 year old) and sheltered by a small reef about 75m offshore. Deeper ocean swimming is available a short walks down the beach (1 km?) The water is beautiful, the beach nice, clean sand for building castles. We also did not see a single jellyfish during our stay (even when I went diving on Koh Tao for 2 days). There were a few minor fixing items needed in the house, like a screen door falling out of its track, but the staff was attentive (the hostess, Nah, was very kind) and fixed what needed to be done. The location is good; north end of Lamai, but close enough to Lamai town (3 minutes) for eating or shopping and a short taxi or motorcycle ride (15 minutes) from Chaweng too. When we go back to Koh Samui, this hotel will be our first choice! It is PERFECT for families.

Seaview Paradise is a very nice place to stay. We stayed at beach view villa with my mom , daughter and my wife. The villa is spacious, bedrooms have very wise aircon – with fan in front of it so that non of us caught cold in spite aircon was on 24/7. You can find all necessary stores nearby – starting from local Family Mart and ending with a pretty expensive (in comparison to all other stores) European style supermarket in the Boutique Resort just 2 minutes away. Only one thing is worth mentioning - the sea in front of the villas – it’s beautiful but swimming is impossible. So you will have two options – either to take a 15 minutes walk on the beach to “Lamai central” beach or to drive a bike near 5 minutes. If you have a small kids this could be a bit challenging. The same for mountain villas – they are beautiful and have fantastic views but climbing up fits only for young couples with no kids. Gary, Son Jo and Na are wonderful people, farsighted and very helpful and nice to talk with. Thank you all guys!!

Gary is a very accomodating host and will go out of his way to please you. I had booked the Mountain Villa for 6 nights but then once we reached there, the wife also wanted to sample the beach villa. Gary transferred us to one of the Ocean View Beach Villas for 3 nights without charging the difference, which reflects how much he aims to please his guests. The staff (Bam, Ning & Naa) was very freindly and went out of their way to please you. The Beach Villa was fantastic with 2 double bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen and TV/DVD player. The Internet connection at a very nominal surcharge was quick and very welcome. The nightlife in Samui is restricted to Lamai Town where we spent some very enjoyable evenings. Gary took us to Sala Thai for dinner which had great food at a reasonable cost followed by a live band performance next door which has some energetic Thai performers blasting rock hits from earlier days. The Katoey show at the Zodiac Bar is a must-see, as well as the mui thai kickboxing (especially the ladies version). The mountain villas were not as nice as the beach villas but more relaxing and serene. The pool on the mountainside is pure bliss and makes for a very refreshing dip. My wife felt an attachment with the beach villa , normally associated with a proper home and she reminisces her stay at Seaview very often. I would recommend both the Beach & Mountain villas depending on the kind of holiday you want. If you want a beach holiday with easy access to the mini mall, a couple of bars, all room accessories & a homely feeling, you must try the Beach Villa. If you want a more relaxing and calming holiday but don't mind reduced luxury, some solid exercise (walking up numerous steps), the odd insect here & there, then the Mountain Villa is the place to be. All in all, a fine experience that I wouldn't hesitate to repeat in the future. Thanks Gary & co. :

We have just returned from a 3 week holiday in Thailand/Singapore during which we spent 8 days in Seaview Paradise. We stayed in the Beach Villa, the one directly on the beach. The party consisted of our two daughters (toddler and teenager), 83 y.o. granny, my wife and me. Although I did quite a thorough search of different accommodation options in Samui beforehand, I still think it was pure luck that we ended with Seaview Paradise. Already in Samui, we looked at many other resorts (we just like to compare things) and every time this view was re-confirmed. The most important features of the Beach Villas are that two of them are in fact situated directly on the beach (for us this was the single most important requirement) and that they are real villas, not just bungalows. During the high tide there is probably not more than 15 meters from your outside dining table to the water. Villas themselves are quite spacious, and 5 of us did not really feel any inconvenience. Additional bonus was that our villa had a second shower and basin at the back, a really big difference. Open veranda with a table that easily accommodated all of us made additional feeling of spaciousness and comfort. We still dream of wonderful views from this veranda which we enjoyed every day. There are several beach restaurants nearby, but on many occasions we just ordered good quality and very inexpensive meals from the small one next door and enjoyed them on the veranda, which was very convenient with an active toddler. One can cook own meals in the kitchen, which was not very important for adults and teenager, but absolutely crucial for the toddler who of course could not have tasty but spicy food from the nearby restaurants. All in all, we had an unforgettable beach villa experience for the price of an average bungalow in Samui. Of course, one can rent a much larger up-market villa elsewhere on the island, this will add some frills to your experience, but the price will be 4-10 times higher, if you want it to be situated direclty on the beach. I would like to thank Gary and his fantastic, most helpful staff for wonderful time we had at Seaview Paradise. The location and facilities are just perfect and his team took care of all our needs in the most efficient way. We will be back next year.

We spent two months at Seaview Paradise (beachfront bungalows) and had a brilliant time. The staff at the hotel are great - very friendly and efficient and always eager to help with tour and dive bookings. We were staying with our two small children, and the environment is very child friendly and there was loads to keep them occupied. The location is at the quiet end of Lamai so the beach isn't too crowded. The down side is that some of the time - not often, but a couple of days here and there - the sea was unsuitable for swimming because the water levels were too low. But there are some swimming pools nearby, and the swimming beaches just a couple of minutes walk. We can highly recommend Seaview - get to know the local fruit seller on the beach for great daily service of fresh pineapple and mango on your doorstep; the tiny restaurant over the road has the best green curry on the island (and about the cheapest too); and there are laundries and a good second hand bookshop within 100m of the hotel. That plus the good facilities in the chalets means you have everything you need without having to drive everywhere. There aren't many serviced, self-catering places to stay in Samui so if that's what you re looking for, Seaview is the place for you!

SEAVIEW PARADISE MOUNTAIN VILLAS
Seaview Paradise Mountain Villa Retreat is a large private estate with 11 individually designed modern Mountain Vacation Chalets.
A steep curving driveway leads up from the office to two open air garages.
From there secluded and pristine walkways pass through beautifully landscaped terraces to the individual homes and the remainder of the estate.
The villas are available as five distinct types and levels so guests can choose the Chalet that best suits their needs.
- Lower on the mountain are two economically priced deluxe 1-bedroom Chalets. Higher on the mountain are four more secluded superior 1-bedroom Chalets with wonderful ocean and beach views.
- Even higher on the mountain are two 2-bedroom, deluxe Villas.
- At the same upper levels of the mountain are three more superior 2-bedroom Villas all having a living room and upper level open air covered "Thai Sala" relaxation area.
- And finally, one of these larger 2-bedroom units has two additional bedrooms available so it can also be used as a 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom home.
:: Upper and Lower Garden (Lower on the Mountain) 1-bedroom Villa ::
These are economically priced one bedroom, one bathroom, kitchen, and deck units located lower on the Seaview Paradise Mountain.
Both incorporate all key Seaview Paradise design thrusts of huge natural boulders as an integral part of rooms,
large open air covered decks, modern fully equipped kitchens, etc. Both have a spacious 70 square meters of living space.
:: Two Tree (Higher on the Mountain) 1-bedroom Villa ::
One of three higher on the mountain one bedroom units, this 73 square meter Chalet features a 38 square meter deck
with two live trees growing right thru it. It also includes a bedroom, bathroom,
and separate kitchen opening directly onto the deck. It has excellent f Lamai Bay and Beach.
:: Rock Villa (Higher on the Mountain) 1-bedroom Villa ::
Another higher on the mountain unit with 76 square meters of living space including a 30 square meter deck.
It also has a living room, separate kitchen (opening onto the deck), bathroom,
and bedroom. Both the bathroom and living room incorporate part of a huge boulder as a part of the wall.
It's location makes the ocean views more limited but also achieves a nice secluded sense of feeling.
:: Longevity View (Higher on the Mountain) 1-bedroom Villa ::
Perhaps the best feature of this newest one bedroom higher on the mountain 83 square meter
unit is it's excellent seaview of Longevity Bay and the rest of Lamai Bay.
The large 40 square meter open air covered deck is 5 meters deep and 8 meters wide with a live coconut tree growing through it's entrance.
The bedroom is a spacious 6 meters by 5 meters with a huge boulder forming part of it's rear wall.
The bathroom also has a boulder/rock wall and the separate kitchen opens to the deck.
:: Many Trees (Higher on the Mountain) 1-bedroom Villa ::
The newest largest Chalet has a living room as well as bedroom and is surrounded by several trees
that are carefully trimmed to provide excellent vistas of Lamai Bay and Beach from it's large covered deck.
:: Topmost Standard (Mountain Standard) 2-bedroom Villa ::
This is our newest two bedroom, two bathroom villa with more boulders.This time in the kitchen and both bedrooms.
It is the highest home available for rental on the Seaview Paradise Mountain and has very special sense of seclusion and privacy.
:: Banyan Tree Standard (Mountain Standard) 2-bedroom Villa ::
In addition to incorporating several boulders in the master bedroom, this two bedroom,
two bathroom villa unit features a huge Banyan Tree to the left of the large deck and another huge boulder to the right.
It's spectacular seaview of the ocean and Lamai Bay are framed by the limbs of this giant old tree.
:: Samui Panorama Superior (Mountain Superior) 2-bedroom Villa ::
Samui Panorama has our most spectacular views and the feelings of peace and serenity make it a "must use villa"
by many guests. From it's open air upper level covered "Thai sala",
one can just relax at will. The home's 95 square meter main living area includes a 30 square meter front deck that looks out at the Lamai panorama.
It has a living room, two separate bedrooms, and a modern kitchen and bathroom.
:: Lamai Vista Superior (Mountain Superior) 2-bedroom Villa ::
This large two level Chalet with a 135 square meter living area has a spacious living room, modern kitchen,
two bedrooms (one complete with a rock wall), and two bathrooms (master bath with another rock wall).
It too has a front deck and the upper "relaxation area" with it's open air "Thai Sala".
The deck has a feeling of solitude because of the huge natural boulder on the left side and
the spiral staircase on the right, which leads from the deck up to the Thai sala.
:: Orchid Superior (Mountain Superior) 2-bedroom or 4-bedroom Villa ::
Like the other large homes, this 175 square meter villa also boasts an upper level open air covered Thai Sala.
Another unique feature provides for the option of renting it in either 2 bedroom/2 bath version. or as a 4 bedroom/3 bath unit.
The main floor (which can be rented separately) has two bedrooms (one with a huge rock boulder wall), two bathrooms, living room, kitchen, and a 35 square meter covered front deck. In the four bedroom version, a spiral staircase leads down to the lower level two bedroom, one bathroom area. Both the large deck and upper level Thai Sala have excellent panoramic views of the entire Lamai Bay and Beach seascape.
