Nice rooms, nice pool, good location. Bad WIFI. Muslim hotell so no bacon on BF, but the rest was good. if you want a clean, nice hotell this is it. i recomend the rooms above the hotells resturant whit balcony heading the mainstreet. to bad its in ao nang!

Breakfast was terrible, used it once then went out every morning. Our first room on third floor of building smelled terrible for two days (like a bad sewer problem), so they moved us to a pool villa room. We stayed 7 nights. The pool villa rooms are quiet,with beautiful decks, and well worth the extra money. Would absolutely stay there again, loved the location, and they also had free internet.

we stayed at this hotel for 8 nights (2 adults+2.5 year old boy), we got a big double bed+ bed for baby. pool view room-was great! room was clean and spacious- big LCD TV. (we brought with us portable DVD +movies) hotel location is perfect- 5 min. from beach. breakfast was great! lots of choices including nice salad bar ( lots of restaurants outside the hotel). hotel staff is nice and attentive. hotel is highly recommended !

The only drawback, sadly not their fault because of their religion, can not purchase any alcohol, for me that was the-only drawback. I was also very impressed with the swimming pool, it was lovely.

Had a very nice stay at Ao Nang Orchid. We had rooms in the hotel wing with pool view and our kids loved the pool. Nice staff who did a fantastic job to make our stay as good as possible. Good breakfast buffé. We actually decided to go back to Ao Nang Resort after a few days on Phi-Phi Island. I definitely recommend this place to families with kids who want a good stay at Ao Nang beach.

We had five nights at Aonang Orchid in July as a family of six. My brother and sister in law had a pool villa room and loved it. Direct pool access and a lovely sitting area in front to relax. We are a family with two boys. We had booked two deluxe pool view rooms and specifically requested inter-connecting rooms. When we arrived we were given two pool view rooms which were not inter-connecting. I was very unhappy about this because we don't feel comfortable putting our boys in a hotel room by themselves, so over five nights this was going to be a huge inconvenience for us. After much complaining we were move very begrudgingly moved to two adjoining triple rooms. We were told over and over that these were triple rooms (not twin as booked). I couldn't have cared less if they were triple - the extra bed in the room didn't advantage us at all but the inter-connecting rooms were a huge advantage. I felt like we were basically ignored by the staff after this - getting off on the wrong foot. We were barely acknowledged or spoken to over the next five days. This is not the friendly and warm Thai hotel welcome we are use to with over 20 years of travelling to the country. Having said that, the hotel itself is good. The location is wonderful - not right on the beach but close to - just one hotel back. The hotel opens to a lane way off the main road, so is set back. The pool view rooms were excellent - spacious with nice large balconies and comfortable chairs. The view opens to the pool, the sea and the wonderful huge cliff face that towers over Aonang. I would definately choose the pool view rooms. Some of the superior rooms are in a building near the road and have no view at all and small balconies. It is well worth spending a little more. The breakfast is amazing value - only 150B for a buffet breakfast. Lot of choices and an egg chef for omelets and scrambled eggs. Well worth having the breakfast, we found a lot of places outside didn't open until later. The pool area is really nice - sun chairs in the sun or shade, a kiddy pool and elephants spraying water. If your children don't swim I would advise booking a pool view room rather than the villa - for safety reasons. Direct pool access would put you a bit on edge with small children. The beds are not too hard and very comfortable. The best bed we had on this particular three week trip. The mini bar is stocked with the basics and cheap. There is also a 7-11 right next door, also an ATM, a doctor and pharmacy over the road and plenty of places to eat. You can buy a weeks wifi for 600B on check in. This didn't work in all areas of our room. We had to sit in the entry on the floor to get it to work - but still worth getting. I will be returning to this hotel - I just hope the staff can improve their customer relations.

When you wish to speak to the hotel manager, we were told by a male desk officer that the hotel manager did not have a mobile phone! sigh..

We stayed at the Ao Nang Resort from May 9th through the 12th 2011. We were so impressed with the location as when you look up you see the wonderful cliffs very close. The swimming pool was absolutely beautiful and had wonderful times swimming. It was clean. You are only a 3 minute walk to the beach and there is shopping all around hotel. The staff was very courteous and helpful and kind. We stayed in both the regular room which was very clean and tidy and also the bungalows which were so nice and right by the pool. The rooms were spotless and had inroom coded safe. Our belongings were secure. The breakfast was Great!! Pancakes, homemade Omelettes cooked to order, fruits, cereals, wonderful breads and jellies. Potatoes plus many local choices but you would be filled and impressed. I would come back and stay any time and especially was helped by a gal who spoke English named Pawinna who was very kind. I was very disappointed with the room that was allocated to me. I was given a room that was directly facing a construction building that was just 15 meters infront of my window. Not only was the view depressing but the constuction workers were able to look into our room, which greatly displeased my wife who was afraid that the workers could see her changing. I requested for a room facing the pool instead but was charged additional 1000 baht. I found this to be in poor taste and a scam to get rid of their wanted rooms. I will never return to that hotel again

Whoever booked my room has done a very poor job. It was definetly not worth paying 2600 bath a night for a room facing a very ugly concrete building, with all the workers looking into your room. Very poor job done and i will never use your service again

Helt ok hotell, DOCK byggdes det ännu ett hotell (?) ungefär 5 meter från detta, så det var konstant oljud från tidig morgon till sen kväll. Som tur är ligger poolområdet på baksidan av hotellet och stördes inte så mycket av ljudet, men vid frukosten hade jag helst velat ha öronproppar.. Jättebra fräsht poolområde! Vi hade ett rum med balkong och utsikt över poolen. Ok frukost, barnen åt muffins och fruktsallad. ;) Hotellet serverar inte alkohol.

Beautifully appointed Bijoux Hotel. Despite photos etc on its Home website of an in house bar - there isnt one! And in fact due to hotel policy NO alcohol at all is served...so forget those poolside Pina Coladas or a cool beer to cut the dust on arrival. But theres always the 7/11 :(

We were upgraded to a Superior Pool View Room thankfully as the Deluxe room was facing a construction site. Rooms were old but well maintained except for the bathroom which needed a renovation. View from the room over the pool area and beyond was terrific. Pool and surrounds were just beautiful. Breakfast was very good as was the restaurant. Location was convenient to most things in Ao Nang. Quite happy to stay in the same room again. Recommended.

Actually I think this Hotel is great for people who doesn't need a high class hotel, but need quality within low price. I think food is awful and staff must be improved. But if you want to be relax and need special price for one day trip, this is the right place to stay. Tour staffs are excellent and also their swimming pool is very good. The rooms are great, clean and calm. This hotel is quite good. I give 4 stars from 5.

We initially got 2 rooms on second floor. Both rooms had dirty, stained floors and smelled smoke. We complained, and they moved us up to third floor, which was much better. Beautiful poolside, but avoid the food. All of us (4 people) got sick and had stomach pains for days after eating in their resturant. Some staff were very helpful but others had difficult to communicate and wasn't very friendly. Free wifi only worked in one of our rooms, the one closest to reception. Good location however.

During our Thailand visit we stayed at Ao Nang Orchid Resort 2 times. Our two first nights we spent in an grand deluxe pool view room. Very big, clean and nice! We went to Railay and Phi-phi and then back again to Ao Nang Orchid Resort. This time we spent 2 nights in a pool villa. The room itself was almost identical to the grand deluxe room, except for a better bathroom. The direct access to the pool was great! The only thing we did not like was that we were placed in the 3rd floor, and with 2 small children that was a drag. But the hotel was overall very nice and the pool area outstanding!

Absolutely Stunning. I cannot recommend it enough. We were in a pool side bungalow which was just amazing right down to the towels folded into the shape of elephants. The pool was beatifull and clean and had a nice view of the surrounding mountains. The location was very good with only a few mins walk from the road of massage parlours, shops, food and bars. The staff were extremely friendly and helpfull. I wish I was there now!

Friendly front desk staff and hotel staff. Lovely swimming pool with stunning views of the hills from the pool view rooms. Great location in Ao Nang close to beach, restauarants and bars. I d have no problem staying there again in the future. No wireless internet access in the rooms but use of a free PC in the lobby. A small parking facility if you arrive in a car like I did. Breakfast was average with identical dishes each day but enough to get your day started. Sawasdee.com provided an efficient booking service.

Great hotel, great location!!! I stayed in the deluxe room, and it was amazing. Everyone was really nice, polite and very friendly. I will sure go back to this hotel :) If you are planning to do some tours, look for deals outside the hotel, they are a lot cheaper!!! Overall, GREAT HOTEL!!!!

WOW...!!! Got this htel by accident, we stayed at the pool villa and you rarely see these kind of rooms. it was huge, gigantic bed, gigantic shower and a private access to the pool. staff was amazing & helpful. the hotel is located in the perfect place: 100 meters from ao nang beach and right next to restaurants, starbucks & seven eleven. we stayed there for 5 nights and didn't want it to end. TAKE IT AND YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED !!

Fantastic! Fantastic! I wanted a getaway from Bangkok, where my girlfriend lives and seeing that it was my birthday coming up, I wanted to stay somewhere nice so as to remember it with her, and for myself of course. We chose Krabi & only for 3 nights. Normally also we don't splash out on the very luxurious rooms - although we do like to stay in very nice, modern & clean hotels - but this time I thought we d pay the extra & opt for one of the Pool-Side Villa rooms. Walking out from the bedroom area to the pool seemed a great idea. Well, what can I say - we made the most of our short stay with excursions over the course of two days to James Bond Island, the Floating Village, Tiger Temple, Emerald Pool & much more. After checking many (too many really!) street tour operators we passed, the hotel managed to do us a very good price for both of them. Often hotel-booked tours can be more expensive but not in this case. The weather was great even though low season. Apart from the great food places we tried, the icing on the cake (excuse the pun) of this mini-break was when on my birthday, whilst I was splashing around in the pool around early evening, the manager came out with a Birthday Cake on my birthday…name & date on it etc (presumable obtained from my check-in/passport details)…and a couple of drinks - I couldn't believe it, a gesture which they did not have to do but did, lovely surprise. I would definitely return - the place was very nice, clean, friendly, breakfast food and area was good - oh & to come back to your room with a different design on your bed or sprinkling of Orchids was another plus-point. Keep up the good work Ao Nang Orchid team!

Amazing beautiful pool as picture shows. We saw staff clean the pool everyday from our pool view room. We also can see cliff from our room. It's nice. The location is also good, just near the main street. It would be perfect if 2 minor things. The first is the basin is little bit cloggy. And the second one is there is no cover for vegetable of breakfast.

VERY NICE!!!! WE had two of the pool villas and they were just perfect. Direct poolaccess and a beautiful hotelarea. Very friendly and professional staff. You cant see the resort from the road, but when we entered the resort we were suprised of how nice it was. I have been in thailand 6 times and lived in many places and I must say that Ao Nang Orchid is the best resort I have stayed at. I will be back! :)

All services in Orchid resort worked well during our holidayweek. Reception worked smoothly, room was cleaned well all the time, breakfast was good and diversified. Safety-box included. Very nice hotel on a nice location. Close to beach and downtown Ao Nang. From the street you can't really see the hotel but when you find it you are warmly greeted by the staff. We arrived 5 hours before our check in time but we were able to check in right away. The pool area is very nice with clean water and very spacious. However the childrens pool is not very big. We had a ordinary room with poolview and the room was ok with good balcony. But if you can afford I would recommend to live in one of the bungalows situated right by the pool (every bungalow with their own entrance to the pool). Breakfast OK but every morning I missed my bacon . Free Wi-Fi with some dead-spots in certaian areas. All in all a very nice hotel with great staff and very keen on helping the guest. The hotel also has their own speed boats and as a guest you get a discount on these trips. Before we arrived I tried to get in touch with the hotel through the e-mail on the hotels website and after several e-mails they answered, this could improve.

This resort took my breath away when i walked down the pool area it was amazing. if your in a pool side bungalow you come straight out onto the balcony, a couple of steps lead you straight into the water. the sheer limestone outcrop that looms over the resort is breathtaking especially if your sat having a drink on the balcony in the evening. Couldnt fault this place whatsoever. Infact we were only booked to stay three nights but ended up staying an extra week

The hotel is quite nice and what makes it is the staff. All members of staff are extremely helpful and do their best to make your holiday special. Unfortunately the description of the hotel is totally misleading. The hotel offers pool villas, pool view rooms and city view rooms described as: Grand Deluxe City View rooms with a beautiful view of the Ao Nang area. The view was a small square of waste ground (the back of shops where staff went to smoke) and a brick wall and 2 windows about 3m from our balcony. We tried to have our room changed but the hotel was full, so we had to give up the idea of using the balcony for reasons other than drying clothes and had to spend all the time with the curtains closed in order not to be overlooked by said staff.

Hallo all We did our honey-moon on this hotel – last week and it was great! The room was wonderful, big and comfortable, the hotel crew ware very nice and the breakfast was large and with a lot of options for every one. The best thing there is the swimming pool – beautiful and unique.

We made a lot of changes and every time someone (usually Kanun or Jar) answer me by mail or S.M.S or by phone in a few hours – this is the best service I have ever got!!! Thank you very much for every thing – it was the best honey-moon and it was all thanks to your devotion and kindness!!!

Rooms are very clean. Hotel in a good location to get around KRABI. Breakfast could be improved to include proper sausages, bacon, tomatoes and fried egg etc for Foreign Tourists. Also they did not serve any Thai breakfast?? At hotel, the staff were very friendly and helpfull! The wireless network never really worked [ on and off ].
