Best place we have ever stayed.Upgraded to a bungalow room and it was lovely.Pool was magnificent breakfast was good except I had a very small piece of fish in sauce that had about 100 bones in it,breakfast staff need to smile a bit and have milk on hand for tea or coffee outside.Location was perfect.Pool closes way too early as its the hotels best asset.

Nice resort, close to beach, agreeable pool area and we had a spacious and comfy suite, normal breakefast. On the negative side, never a free sunbed after 0700 in the morning, all occupied by towels,books etc. We had one lunch and one dinner at the restaurant, very slow service and absolutely not good food, so we didn't eat more there. Very expensive internet access, and American Express was not accepted. And the hardest matress we ever have experienced in Thailand. Conclusion: We will never more visit hotel/resort without free internet and having to fight for sunbeds at pool.

The location is great at the walking street in central Ao Nang . The staff was friendly. Except for one dinner at the restaurant. We complained that the BBQ White Snapper was raw. The kitchen tried to fool us by BBQ the same fish and turn it upsidedown. The final bill at the resturant wasn't correct at all. The tour Girl was friendly and helped us with a private tour to the waterfall. The pool is ok, except for all guest reserving the best sunchairs before breakfast with towels .

The hotel has an excellent location on Ao Nang Beach. The room was fine and the pool was also good. Breakfast spread was ok. However, the service quality dissapointed us. We had to ask for tea/coffee sachet refills every day, staff rarely made eye contact and smiled. Wifi came at a high price. We stayed for 2 nights and wanted to extend our stay by a day at the same price which the hotel refused despite the resort being totally empty. Overall average exprience, compared to our superior experiences in similar priced hotels in Phuket and Bangkok.

I was in generel pleased with my stay at the Golden Beach Resort, however having to spend 12 days in the executive bungalows with an air condition that only worked half of the time and with several electricity interruptions, is deducting a bit from stay. Staff were friendly and helpful, although english skills could be improved. Internet rates are very expensive and I experienced 2 days out of a week, where the wireless did not work. However having mentioned this, the staff and other facilities leaves me and my family with a good impression of Thailand and a satisfactory stay and Golden Beach Resort.

Но вот 2-х этажные бунгало - это был сюрприз: не хочется подниматься по лестнице на 2-й, а если живешь на 1-ом, то ... как повезет с соседями сверху. Питание как и везде. Неплохой ресторан, на случай, если не хочется никуда ходить вечером. Отличный бассейн. А вот персонал отеля страдает . Но это сказывается наличие арабско-массульманских направленностей.

Its a nice hotel, if you dont mind about too much service. The food is very nice, as the location, as its directly at the beach. Nearly directly, as you have to walk over one small street. But the service was very weak, the room service forgot 24 hours to pick up the dishes, until it was full over ants. In the end i had to bring it personaly to one staff. I would have not mind, if they really would not have seen the dirty dishes, but the room service moved it from one corner in an other corner. Also the swimming pool was dirty, we found glass bottles in the water, as plenty of stones. The pool bar, was sometimes closed at 4 pm, then again 5 pm, then again 6 pm. After asking for drinks, it was told us they dont sell drinks after 4 pm, what was not true, as the first day we bought a drink at 6 pm. Very unusually for me was, that usually hotels are also friendly to thai people, as we were traveling in a group with 4 other thais, and the hotel was not very friendly to them, asked them every day for their key cards, as ignored them when they wanted to order. So yes its a nice hotel, if you dont mind about staff and service.

The location of the resort was great and we were lucky to have booked a sea view chalet, although the trees blocked the view of the sea! The resort was great, staff were very accommodating, and the facilities were very comfortable. The only downside was that there were a couple of karaoke nights that we did not anticipate, so if you are up for listening to bad karaoke in Chinese, then this will be fine. Perhaps it was a once off booking :) the resort was great, close to everything and you have the option of lounging at the huge pool, or at the beach. Will definitely go back if we get the chance.

The room assigned to us was not desireable as it had some hotel equipment just outside our door under the staircase. This was brought to the attention of you reception team who did everything possible to rectify the problem. They were friendly and accommodating and with the cooperation of your reservation department, we were transferred to a better room the next afternoon. The pickup guide from the airport and our tour guide the next day both claimed your hotel to be the best in Ao Nung and we agree with them. We intend to visit Krabi again in the near future for a longer period and will definitely make reservations to stay at your hotel especially as we now know the layout of your hotel plan and we will be able to choose the type of room that meets up to our requirement. Yustina from your tour desk was exceptionally helpful and arranged for us a wonderful tour. The only disappointment was the lack of a gym for a few members of our group. But the walk around Ao Nang was enough exercise.

A very nice resort, and children friendly. The only thing that was bad was the room cleaning and the restaurant sometimes. Our smallest child wet the bed one time, but it took 2 days before the bed clothing was changed. The restaurant made really good food, but many times some of us had finished our meals before the others got their food. For example, it took 20 minutes to get 2 orders of chicken and steamed rice, but 10 minutes to get a steak. But, on the whole, we had a really really good stay at Golden Beach Resort.

We enjoyed our stay in this hotel very much. The location is perfect, right in front of the beach and in walking distance of the small town with lots of shops and restaurants. We stayed in the Jacuzzi Villa which was beautiful and very stylish and even better, right in front of the beach, so we had great views. Also the massage service at the hotel was heavenly, the pavillion was also in front of the beach so you could enjoy a soothing massage while listening to the waves rippling on the shore....When you walk to the end of the beach towards the mountain you can enjoy watching the monkeys coming out of the forest to play on the beach if you re lucky. The staff were lovely the breakfast was fine, no complaints. It was rather noisy during the day by the pool with the building work going on. ONE VERY BAD THING THE BED LINNEN SMELT DAMP FROM OTHER PEOPLES SWEAT, THE QUILT WAS MARKED FROM THIS AND THE PILLOWS SMELT BAD AS WELL, I GUESS ITS BECAUSE ITS THE END OF SEASON, WE DID NOT GO INSIDE THE QUILT SLEPT ON TOP AND PUT TOWELS OVER THE PILLOWS, THIS WAS NOT NICE. The actual room was very nice and clean, could not fault that.

Location of the hotel is very good, cross a narrow road to the beach, also just a small walk 2-5 mins to the main shopping/dining area of Ao-Nang. Since this hotel is situated on the corner of Ao-Nang, its very clean and secluded. Rooms are very specious, we stayed in a superior suite on the building, which has one bedroom and a living room, both rooms have separate balcony, TV and also washrooms. We stayed there for 8 days and very much enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The swimming pool is the most coolest place, separate with a children pool and this is the place that my child enjoyed the most. Even the beach in front of the hotel is also very peaceful, my 6 yr old enjoyed playing with sand and collecting shells. Breakfast was almost the same everyday, but the quality of the food was good, and the staff always are happy to help with a smiling face. ONLY exception is the lady who was on the omelette counter, she was so reluctant to work, whatever order was placed to her made her very upset, as she enjoyed herself more standing and chatting rather than doing any work, for all the 8 days, whatever order of egg we asked her, she deliberately made the wrong one. The hotel also offer a beach front massage which is a must do relaxo foot massage. I would highly recommend this to anyone, this will really keep you relaxed. Overall, the stay is really good and Krabi is the best place for anyone who is looking for a peaceful and quality holiday with the family, this area is not for one who is looking for entertainment, this is a very, very peaceful place, very less crowd (although this is the low season we went), and finally, Krabi has one of the best beaches of the world. We will definitely come back to krabi.

The room and facilities were very nice. The swimming pool was nice but had two flaws: there were sharp stones on the edge of the pool that destroyed our childrens swim suits and there was a stupid reservation system for the sun chairs where people got up early and booked the chairs which were then left empty but reserved most of the day (this made it very hard to get a chair although there would have been chairs enough if people werent allowed to book them without being there). The breakfast was not very good. The staff was all very friendly but some did not speak English. Great location. Nice idea with the entertainment in the restaurant but the sound level was way too high.

The hotel was great! It was in a quiet end of Ao Nang by the beach. Beautiful pool and lovely garden restaurant overlooking the beach and sea. Food and service was excellent. Room included a large breakfast buffet. Very clean and highly recommended.

Nice hotel, very well located on AoNang beach. Nice & big rooms (we stayed at the building rooms - Should mention that building room as no double bed rooms. It was taken care by hotel - by combining two twin beds to one huge double bed). Reasonable breakfast and good service. A must do massage in the hotel - good price, good massage and no need to look around the area. we enjoyed our stay a lot !

Nice Hotel with very good looking room. We booked the pavillion suite. It was very big and well equiped. The breakfast was good and the swimmingpool very big. To bad there was no shade spot in the swimming pool (only a little bit after 4 pm). The pool was prety warm so for cooling down it was not so good. The location almost on the beach (only seperated by small road (almost no traffic)). Personal was very friendly. Did enjoy!

We were actually quite disappointed with this resort. We had a Seaview Bungalow which did indeed have a beach view but the room really needed updating. The whole resort actually was a little run down. The breakfast was adequate but very average. The location to the main street & restaurants was about a 500m walk. If you like the beach at your door then this is probably the best location in Au Nang but as far as quality goes it's not a great choice. Also the staff speak almost zero English which makes things difficult but this seems to be the case everywhere we went in Thailand.

Loved our stay at Golden Beach and Krabi was the favorite part of our trip. Positives- Location is excellent, steps from beach. Had one regular room and had one cottage as they were full and had to upgrade one of the rooms. Rooms were spotless, front dest staff were kind, understood most of what we were asking them..just takes patience when communicating. Pool was beautiful, has a deep end, a divided children's pooland available shade from the very hot sun. Breakfast was pretty good, not much variety but we didn't care about that. Outdoor restaurant is lit up at night and is really pretty. My husband passed out twice from heat stroke? in the hotel restaurant(never before) while we were there. The staff called for medical help and were wonderful about helping us. Negatives- not many. Beds are quite hard and it can take getting used to but that's just the way it is in most hotels. Although the staff is so kind, the service in the restaurant needs a big improvement..i.e. meals will come 15 minutes apart (or more) sometimes and once they forgot the order all together and this was when it was not busy at all. I think the staff and cooks? maybe need further training. However the food was good, we just went elsewhere for most meals. Because of the unavailabity of 2 of the same room type, our rooms were very far apart which was a bit frustrating. No clock in room so you should bring your own. I loved this hotel and would stay there again. I have 3 teenaged kids (took 2 with us). This hotel would be great for families...just don't expect to have your special reservation requests met (i.e. rooms adjoining or close together because they often are full). Plan around that. Good job Golden Beach!

Good laid back resort, nice breakfast, room and pool, great staff. We felt very comfortable here, shops and restaurants are just a few minutes walk. there were some great tours to the surrounding area. Will recommend to friends.

This was a lovely hotel in a great location and very good service. The only problem was that the people on both sides of our room spent a lot of time smoking on their balconies. Everytime we wanted to let some fresh air in, we would get smoke. As all the rooms were fully booked, they couldn't do anything - this was frustrating as we requested a non-smoking room.
