Great hotel, great and clean pool, good breakfast, nice staff! But a BIG minus is that all the sunchairs is taken at 07:00 in the morning.. So if your a late sleeper, you don´t get a place to sit! I really dont like that people getting upp early just to put a towel on the chair and then get back to bed just to come back at 9 or 10am..or going to the town first! It whould be nice if the hotel don´t accept that!! You take a chair when you get there or else, don´t block the chair for everyone else!!

We booked 2 direct pool access rooms, side by side as a family of 5. We found this hotel to be very clean and spacious. The breakfast was good and adequate, though not a huge choice as in some other hotels of this quality. The staff were extremely friendly and were quick to comply with any requests. The location is good as whilst it is at the tail end of the shopping area, walking in to the hub, has shops and restaurants all along the way. Do try the restaurant Kando or similar which is advertised at the top of the driveway, its location is past the hotel down the laneway. The restaurant is strangely positioned in a car park area, but the food is beautiful and cheap! I would recommend the La Playa Resort hotel to anyone travelling to Krabi.

Very good as always, however I did have to pay 100% of 2 hotels I booked thru SiameServices prior to even leaving for holidays, which I thought was highly unusual. The booking personnel informed me that this was the hotels policy however I saw that another popular website was taking bookings for the same price with no deposit and nothing to pay until arrival. Anyway, all turned out o.k. as we were happy with this and the other hotel.

I have staed several times in LaPlaya and it is not what it used to be. Poolarea is great but the rest of the hotell is not wort the money anymore, there are more hotels in the region to a better price with the same standard or higher This is also the reason that we changed hotel on the 19th rather than to continue to stay in LaPlaya for another 9 days. We stayed the other 9 days in another hotel in AoNang

I booked the pool side deluxe B that included the Private Jacuzzi corner. Although the room was excellent there was a lack of hanging space for clothes, and also thejacuzzi was quite cold at times as the water is attached to the main pool, therefore works according to the weather. if you want a good jacuzzi, dont book here otherwise the rest of the hotel was very good except maybe the staff speaking limited english.

Fantastic. We we re upgraded to a pool side room which was beyond wonderful. The room was big, bright, clean and spacious. Can't say enough great things about this place. The only disappointing thing was the breakfasts it had a poor variety, but was still acceptable. The location of La Playa is just slightly off the beaten path, so a little bit hidden, but a few short steps to the heart of Ao Nang. The best massage place is a 5 minute walk to the Sunset where they gave the best massage I had while visiting Thailand.

This is my second time staying at this hotel and I am happier with their service than the first time round! Was pleasantly surprised to find that we have been upgraded to a deluxe room with the beautiful view of the sea! The shopping area are also within walking distance from the hotel. I emailed the hotel saying that I would like to surprise my husband on his birthday during our stay there and the have been helpful in suggesting ideas on how to plan the surprise. The whole dinner and the staff coming out to sing him a birthday song went without a hitch. Hubby was very surprised! The staff are helpful, polite and friendly too. They have made our stay a very pleasant one. The only thing I felt that could be improved was their breakfast. Not much choice to choose from. But other than that, I will greatly recommend La Playa. Two thumbs up!

Very friendly & helpful staff, despite what some other reviews said about the staff being rude to asians, I did not experiance anything distasteful or whatsoever. We booked the pool deluxe B room, and it was just awesome. Love the pool access. The staff's English overall can be improved, although a few of them are pretty decent. As for the food, I d say Krabi La Playa needs to improve or somewhat have more local cuisines. The buffet breakfast was only reasonable although the variety wasn't that good. Cleaning staff was kind enough to fold the towels into those little elephants that we adore so much. Location wise, this place is just so convenient, with tons of food places, bars, and shops nearby. Overall, I d give this hotel a I will return again! 7.8/10

My husband and i chose Krabi la playa for basically two reasons. The gorgeous huge pool and of course the incredible rates we got for the rooms. We were not disappointed on both counts. We had a great stay except the staff does not speak any english and its impossible to communicate anything to them. Being in the hotel industry i think speaking english should be a basic requirement. It was just so frustrating trying to have a conversation. Apart from that its a decent hotel close to all the shops and restaurants in Ao nang. All in all. We had a pleasant experience.

We had a poolside deluxe room with our own spa, which was outstanding. Generally, the facilities were excellent and we found the location to be outstanding for our needs. It is within an easy walk of all the restaurants, tour booking companies and shops in Ao Nang. Sometimes there was difficulty communicating our needs with reception staff as their English wasn't great. The facility could do with a good coat of paint and the pictures on the site look as though they are a few years old as the pool area is now looked down upon by tall buildings on each side. Overall an excellent holiday and we would be happy to return to this property.

Nice pool. Friendly staff. Breafast is below average. You have to cook your own bacon, the first for me for the years I have traveled the world. Beds are hard like sleeping on a piece of wood, needless to say it was not very comfortable. The hotel location is convenient as it is near shops and restuarant, but it is in a poor location with respect the beaches. You need to walk out thru an alley to get out of the hotel. It takes about 5-10 minutes to get to the beaches. Buildings are not well maintained with poor workmanship I would not come back.

Wonderful experience with the hotel. The pool was great. The staff there are very helpful to our request. The kettle jug boiling element had rust. I request for a new one. Though they had none, which is quite a shock when its a quite class hotel. However, they did their best in supplying us hot water every evening and morning at 430am for my last day. This staff, Yael, serve with great patience and helpful. ALways showing us the friendly smile. Overall, it was a great experience. Will definitely go back to same hotel for next visit.

The hotel is not so fancy as it looks on the web site, it needs to be renovated on the outside and in the poolarea. The poolside-rooms were big, the bathrooms are very large and nice. The gym was a dissapointment and the free wi-fi did not work. Very good food in the Spieces restaurant and a great garden to play football in with the kids. Krabi did not have a beach were you can swim or sun, you have to take a boat out to the islands or stay by the pool.

At our stay there was a hotel being built next to Krabi la Playa, but the noise was not that loud and after a couple of days we did not even notice it. I can definetly recommend this hotel!

The staff were very friendly and professional.The room we had booked was a superior room,it was a nice big room,very clean and well maintained. We had a kingsize bed,which was quite hard in the middle,as the bed was in two pieces facing the wrong way.This certainly did not affect our holiday. The hotel was excellent and made our first visit to Thailand a most memorable and enjoyable experience. We stayed in a poolside deluxe room which I would recommend to anybody. The room was very clean and comfortable. Its in a great location, about 50M from the main area of Ao Nang. Breakfast was superb with a large selection of dishes though the egg chef did make a mean omelette! The staff, I can't praise highly enough,they always had a smile for us and were polite and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for any of them. In all I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Great service, great location, beautiful gardens and a lovely warm pool. What more can you ask for?

When we stayed here the hotel was quite quiet. We were grateful that our room was on the top floor as we had plenty of privacy. There is no privacy on the bottom floor for rooms that had pool access as the balconies are overlooked by the sunbathing areas. The breakfast and room were nice. Can see that the water temperature could be an issue if you enjoy a shower rather than a bath. We were surprised by how small the pools were and there weren't many sunbeds. Overall, we enjoyed it but probably wouldn't stay there again as there is nowhere to escape any loud families that turn up as we experienced on our last day. At least if you had a hotel on the beach or a separate pool you have the choice where to sit! It is conveniently placed for Ao Nong and the shops etc.

Could not have the room requested as the hotel was full. The alternative provided was more than adequate. Size of room with balcony was generous although a little sparsely furnished. One problem with the water system is that when other rooms were using water the pressure dropped and the water temperature in the showers changed dramatically. Swimming pool is excellant as was the pool bar service. Buffet breakfast was great.

The resort have large rooms. The staff are friendly. Only book the superior rooms or the deluxe with access to the pool. The deluxe at 4th and 5th. floor have water pressure problem. Your complain will not be entertain as it is a normal complain. Will not stay there again as i got hurt by hot water a few times.

The drive way down to the La Playa is not the best but once we arrived at the front of the resort we were happy with the selection that we had made. The staff upon checkin were friendly and helpful and always had a smile through out the week that we stayed there. We stayed in a Pool Delux B room which had access to the pool and it was worth every cent we paid. The pool was clean and we had a lot of fun in it. The pool bar staff were friendly and did every thing to accommodate our needs. The rooms were large and clean and had all the things we required to make our stay a pleasant one. The resort could do with a coat of pant but this is only a minor concern. Overall our stay was great and we had a great time. We plan on returning to Krabi in a few years time and I would be happy to stay here again. Thankyou to the staff at the La Playa for a great week.

For the price of this resort, i would not recommend it. we stayed in backpacker places for months and so we are not fussy. but this place is supposed to be a resort and we found the staff unfriendly, especially the ladies in reception, the cleaners in our room usually forgot something like leaving us towels or forgetting to give us our daily drinking water. the breakfast was good. the outside of the resort buildings are rundown and need a paint. the resort is not on the beach, but can walk for about 10mins to the beach. if i was paying this much again for a resort i would stay somewhere else. Also, a massive thing for us was that none of the equipment in the fitness room actually works... it's like they have bought second-hand equipment and all of it has problems and is unsafe. i tried to ask someone to fix the treadmill and each time they would tell me it was working... it was working but would stop and start and was very unsafe... a hotel should not advertise having a fitness room if the equipment does not work properly!

We found the hotel very nice and the cleaning of our room where very good. But, our toilet didn´t work properly on the hole week and the staff blamed us for putting tissues in the toilet and we didn´t. There must be a problem with their drainpipe-system, both our toilet and the shower had stops during our week and that spoiled a lot of our time in Ao Nang. Next time we are going to Ao Nang we will choose to stay in a smaller hotel with a more personal staff and a location near the Railey Beach.

I am happy with my stay in this hotel. The receptionist are well manner and cheerful.The room are clean and facing sea view. There is no mosquito in the day but night may be one or two. Breakfast can be better. During the peak season don't expect late check out after 1pm. Location is ideal as it is not in the main road. So it's quiet and no noise from the busy town.There's also a free rental DVD at your service. I d highly recommend La Playa Resort and would definitely be back again.

Great place to stay IF you have 100% affinity to the swimming pools, there are 3 very reasonable pools in this resort, albeit the largest is behind renovation schedule currently. Friendly & helpful staff, spacious room ; however, you may want to chuck out the decorative bed cushions before you turn in, they need a wash for sure !

The hotel was easy to find;it is a big hotel,part of it was in reconstruction so we don't have pool bar;was noise starting from 8 am;the personal from the breakfast restaurant was rude,the personal from the front desk don't know many words in English so the comunication was hard;the room was so and so .We like jacuzzi and swimming pool.

We have just returned from a stunning holiday at Krabi La Playa Resort - Excellent hotel rates for low season - We were upgraded to a delux A room which was very nice for the kids. We had read on a previous review that mosquito's were a problem - which they still are so we bought mosquito repellent which worked!!! Overall the hotel is in a great location, hotel food was good but if you have kids this hotel is really great with the swimming pools.

OVerall it was a good stay. Walking distance to everything. The room is clean and big enough. I reserved a oceanview room but the room we wre assigned first did not have any view of the ocean. After asking to change the room and waiting for one day we got a better view room. Pool is fine. Breakfast is reasonable. They allow us to use a shower after check out. Good service. We will go there again.

Very nice hotel with large swimmingpool! Also a part for small children. We booked a pool-deluxe type A with jacuzzi. Room is excellent,although the acces to the jacuzzi/pool could not be closed from our room nr 118. So not totally safe for small children. This has to be fixed. Good service in the hotel, reception and restaurant. Housekeeping not always that good, sometime the forgot to bring towels.. We can definitely recommend this hotel and we will stay here next time for sure! The hotel organises a cooking class, very nice to attend!

On our arrival one of the rooms that we booked was unavailable and we were given a free dinner and a room with fantastic views of the ocean. The resort was situated a short walk to the shops. great for exercise. Stayed in Deluxe with pool, was spacious. Food at resort was good though you can find food outside resort for cheaper. Ao Nang is a quiet location with nice beaches. More Family orientated than Phuket. Had a small hassle with a tea cup and saucer when we left as it wasn't in the room, we explained that room service had taken it though took 15 minutes for them to understand.

The location is not so bad .Just need 10 min to the shopping street. The reception girls are really friendly and they are helpful. The cleanliness is fine and the breakfast is perfect. The swimming pool is great.

A nice hotel with nice and clean rooms. A big swimmingpool area with a pool bar!!! swim up rooms were you can go directly from your room and in to the pool. The hotel is a little away from the beach and shopping area,but just a 5-10 minutes walk. Nice staff.

Nice location, easily accessible to most areas of Ao Nang, especially good for first-timers to Krabi, like ourselves. Poolside deluxe A rooms are nice for the fact that they lead directly into the main swimming pool by virtue of their own personal jacuzzis. Room and bathroom were both spacious. Hotel staff were also very nice to offer use of a checkout room for shower facilities as our flight was only at 6pm while checkout time was at 12 noon.

As last year the stay was super! We even bring the rest of our family this time. The personell is perfect, they helped us in any way it was possible, even when the hotel was filled up as it was most of the time. We have no spent 32 days at this hotel ad we will be back next tine we visit Ao Nang. The chldren loves to go directly from the room and into the pool.

After a few hectic days in Bangkok, Krabi La Playa was the relaxing experience that we needed on our honeymoon. The staff were friendly, we were upgraded to a spa room and the resort was located right near the main street and water, but felt like we were miles away from the tourists. We are already talking about spending our 1st anniversary at Krabi La Playa. Everything is closer in Krabi than it appears on the maps.

We stayed here from the 20th Feb to the 27th Feb. We booked a Poolside A with whirlpool in August last year, upon arrival we were told it wasn't available for the first 3 nights and we had to accept a lower grade room, we were not happy with this and after a lengthy discussion were offered a 2000 baht refund. The standard of service was lower than any other hotel we stayed in during our 25 nights in Thailand, the room wasn't always cleaned and restocked correctly, there was no drink/food service to the poolside sunbeds, we wouldn't use this hotel again.

Siamo stati 4 notti in una Deluxe, buona struttura con una buona colazione.Distante 300 metri dal mare e a 5 minuti a piedi dalla zona con i vari ristoranti e negozi.Per il prezzo pagato nel periodo 7-11 gennaio 07, 5625 Bht,un poco eccessivo.
