Wonderfull place to stay. Rooms beautifull and everything is clean,new and works! 2small pools also clean. Away from the beach. But free transport to and fro between 8 in the morning until 2130. i came back the week after this stay because it was so good! And free wifi in you bungalow which also works fine!

房間乾淨又舒服，還有私人的陽台。花草都整理得很漂亮~雖然離ao nang 和沙灘遠了點，但飯店有提供tuktuk服務，完全不用走路5分鐘左右就能到 ao nang 的鬧區，7:00~22:00都提供了來回接送服務。很值得推薦的一間Resort

Positivt överraskad av resorten! Snygg bungalow, relativt fräscht badrum (litet minus för det delvis öppna taket) och överlag trevligt intryck. Personalen serviceminded och positiva. Stället är muslimskt, men det störde inte oss, man fick dricka sin öl innan och efter maten på rummet istället :) då ingen sprit serveras i restaurangen. Två pooler, varav den ena (åtminstone när vi var där) var lite smutsig, men omgivningen är skönt grön och solen gassar bra! Är övertygad om att de hade städat poolen grundligare bara vi hade sagt till, men det var ändå havet som lockade mer. Gratis skjuts ner till stränderna hela dagarna.

We had a very pleasant stay in a canalside room at Sundra Resort. The rooms were clean, spacious and well presented, with good air conditioning, free bottled water, a fridge and a large bathroom. The resort is a little far from Ao Nang beach (it took us about 40mins to walk to the main shopping strip, only about 10 -15mins walk to the nearest stretch of beach) but the staff were always on hand with a free tuk tuk ride any time we wanted. Breakfast was included each morning and was a great spread including both western and asian food with eggs and omelettes cooked to order. The most outstanding aspect of our stay was the level of service from the staff. Always attentive and polite, they went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. In fact, when our transfer service to the airport failed to show up on the final day and it looked like we might miss our flight, the staff at Sundra bundled us into a car and drove us to the airport themselves - calling ahead to organise our easy transfer through security to ensure we made the plane. I can't thank them enough for their efforts!

Nice hotel, a little bit further up from Nopparat Thara Beach. Free transport by tuk tuk to the beach. Stayed in 2 Poolside rooms with connection door. Great pool, nice breakfast buffé and restaurant but beware they are not selling any drinks with alcohol.

Nice, relaxing, friendly place, there was a few mozzies in the room however, possibly due to the open air bathrooms. But the bathrooms were an interesting change especially with my friendly frog - there are small lizards minding their own business in the room as well. Food was ok.

It´s very calm hotell. Owner and staff are muslims, so they don´t serve any alkoholic drinks at hotell area. But it was ok to have beer or drinks with you and consume at your room. Thay are very frendly and it was very cleen and nice rooms. Only negative is that it is few km. to the town, BUT they offer free Tuk-tuk to the town!!!

We stayed at Sunda Resort for 6 days,the resort is great. Exeptional value for money. We stayed at poolside bungalow, which was specious, very clean and looked very nice. The grounds are well kept. It's a quiet resort far from ao nang centre but they provide free tuk tuk service to the town. You can use it how many times you want during the day. The resort restaurant is very nice and the food is great at a good price.Staff is very nice and helpful. We would definitely stay again in this resort as it's very good value for money.

The location is good as it's far enough from the noisy ao nang, while the free tuk tuk service makes it so easy to reach some shops and poor night life of ao nang. Rooms are very good with powerful aircon, cleaning good enough. It's obviously not a luxury resort but offers very good value. The whole resort is in a very good condition with very helpful staff. One warning! Avoid the laundry service!!! Me and my friends asked them to wash our clothes. When we got them it smelled nice, but all of our white shirts became yellow - looking even dirtier!!! I couldn't even get rid of the stains when I washed them again at home so it all goes into the bin!

Friendly staff and great location away from the hustle and bustle of Ao Nang, but just a stone throw away from the kickboxing stadium. Free tut-tut service to Ao Nang centre (one way recommended). Everything aside great value for money, pseudo open air shower, porch, friendly staff, decent pool, the only thing I'll pick about is the bright blue light radiating from the air condition, nothing a little duct tape wouldn't solve.

Wir waren als Zwischenstation für 3Tage im Sunda Resort.Schon beim Checkin fühlten wir uns in dieser idyllischen,ruhigen Anlage herzlich willkommen.Die gesamte Belegschaft war absolut spitze!Wir hatten einen Poolbungalow mit Terrasse direkt zum Pool, was aber nie störend war, da sowohl abends als auch frühs keine Badegäste da waren.Die Bungis waren immer perfekt sauber.Einziger Minuspunkt ist die Entfernung zum Strand, da man alles mitschleppen muss. Es gibt aber bis 22.00 einen hervorragend funktionierenden kostenfreien TukTuk-Transfer zu Aonang-, bzw. Noppharathara-Beach, der die Gäste auf Anruf hin auch wieder abholt. Ansonsten kostet die Rückfahrt zum Resort nur 60THB und ist überhaupt kein Problem. Im Allgemeinen eine absolut empfehlenswerte Anlage für alle, die keine Partymeile brauchen und ein paar Tage Ruhe und Entspannung genießen wollen.

Very nice Hotel.Frienly staff. Spacious and clean rooms. The pool can be used until 10 pm which was great. We used the hotel tuk-tuk service to go to Ao Nang or Nopparattara Beach. Excellent service, they take you back to the hotel as well. Just call the reception. Next time in Krabi we will stay on this hotel again.

We stayed in this hotel for four days and really enjoyed our stay. Although the hotel is a bit out of Ao Nang Beach; they compensate this brilliantly by the perfect pick-up service. They will take you free of charge tot Ao Nang and pick you up for free till 10 PM. For pick up you just need to call to the hotel; just remember it is Thailand and you do have to explain very clearly where you are. The food in the restaurant is good. They don't serve or allow alcohol in the restaurant and they don't have a bar. You are allowed to bring your own beer/alcohol in the room. The rooms are good, well kept (cleaning was very good when we were there). There are 2 pools available. The staff is friendly and helpfull. Breakfast is well taken care of as well.

When i 1st arrived at sunda i thought gosh im doomed..but seriously its totally the opposite .. the room is nice! i feel like im home..the surrounding is cozy and the staff is super friendly! tho its a bit far from the beach..u can always rent a bike from the hotel for 200bath per day. theres a lot of other hotels near aonang walk..but if u are looking for a place to relax and chill..u should head here..be sure to ask for pool side room there's even connecting room if u need one. One more thing..the place is near to muay thai place..about 5 mins walk..and their pineapple juice is to die for! totally in love with the place!

We had 2 Garden View Rooms at the Sunda Resort, & really enjoyed our stay. The rooms are very clean & nicely furnished, bathroom unusual as partly outside but also very clean & we found it interesting. The staff were very friendly & helpful, they arranged rides into Ao Nang & return in the resort tuk tuk at no charge, & this worked well. We would love to come back to the Sunda. Breakfast was very good. 2 Pools, both clean & not too crowded. Location is nice & quiet.

Nice spacious clean bungalows.Had canal room which meant lots of mosquitoes and too close to the restaurant = noisy before 7a.m.The awful la la music and the staff walking around with high heels. Breakfast pretty awful,terrible coffee.Staff friendly.Nice pool.Glad we stayed there and not in ugly busy Ao Nang.Transport with hotel tuktuk was ideal and easy. Would book again for quick stopover.Good value for money.

Sunda resort was nice. Can't really find any fault with this place. Our room was pool view & was really nice because they made the effort to decorate our bed with flower petals and everyday made swans or elephants using our towel and placed them on the bed.The pool was small but it was not full when we were there. The staffs were really friendly and helpful too. We had free tuk-tuks to town and can just call them when we want to get back to the hotel.Breakfast was okay.And oh, the muay thai stadium was just 5 mins walking distance so we paid 800 Thai baht/person to watch them fight.There were these 2 big fat cats owned by the hotel owner and they were really tame and very cute! they almost look like garfield with its wide face.

A wonderful place!! The rooms are very clean and the surroundings are very natural and peaceful. The pools are clean and lovely. The staff are very friendly and always helpful with every request. Our family had a great time and we hope we can go back soon! Although it is not right on the beach, it is such a short distance to the beach that it was never a problem. We highly recommend this place!

i have never met such lovely people,the staff were absolutley brilliant.this hotel is set back about 10 mins walk from the beach and shops,there is a free tuk tuk to ao nang,but you have to pay to get back,so if you want to go the bank or shop be aware its a ride away.the rooms are of a decent size and cleaned daily,with the bathroom being open slightly it can attract a few crawlies,even a frog one nite and my 6 year old wouldnt go alone,so if you are a bit squeamish take this into account. the pools are clean and a fair size however we had the place to ourselves id imagine the place to be a bit cramped in peak season.the room service food was excellent but closed at 9pm.

Excellent Hotel! Not one with the highest star rating but the one with warmest hospitality. The staffs are so friendly and helpful, we would like to special thanks Ms Guan (Assistant Manager), Ms Sandy (Sales & Marketing), Ms Kate (housekeeper) and the tuk-tuk driver. The rooms are clean, pools are good and environment is so relaxing. In fact, the hotel provides free tuk-tuk transfering from hotel to Ao Nang beach or other nearby areas. During our stays, we celebrated one of our friend's birthday in Krabi and hotel staffs took the extra effort to help us order the birthday cake and a bouquet of roses. The tuk-tuk driver actually drove us to Restaurant Lae Ley (one of the best seafood restaurant) in advance before we decided to had our birthday dinner there. Unfortunately, we met with an accident & the driver was injured. However, they care more about us rather than themselves. Before we reached the restaurant for dinner, they had the tuk-tuk driver delivered the cake and roses. We really had a wonderful stay at Sunda. IT IS INDEED A MUST STAY HOTEL!!!!

When I first heard of Sunda resort, I was thinking well maybe it's just another resort with the usual stuff and amenities. When I reached there eventually on the 11th April 2009, I was delighted to be greeted by a platoon of super friendly staffs. Their check-in procedure was being taken care of with such ease and simplicity that I just had to wait for them to go through the relevant documents and then hand me the key to my room. The room that I had is big and guess what, SUPERBLY clean. The beds were made up nicely and the smell of the room is fresh and nice, unlike some I ve been to before, had that musky and unoccupied-for-quite-long smell. I had a double bed room, 1 for myself and another for my mother. My mother found it very pleasing too. She said the beds are at the right height and comfort. But what we love most about Sunda Resort has to be the greens that we were surrounded with. So many plants and trees around that every morning I woke up, I just like to take a stroll around the place. Feels and smells fresh. Buffet breakfast was done and prepared with such simplicity, yet very delicious and yummy indeed. I really have to give it to them for thinking international about everything. From reception right to their food preparation. And thank you for the free tuk-tuk transfer to the beach front street. We couldn't ask for more. The motorcycle rental was another convenience for us. Oh, and another thing ? Safety is at its up most state. Unlike some resorts, I left my wet clothes outside on the balcony for drying and when I came back to check on them few hours later, surprisingly, they re all still there, untouched. So guys, I d really recommend Sunda Resort to you all. It's a pleasant place and it was a really pleasant stay for both my mom and I. Will make plans for a return stay if I ever go down to Krabi next time.

We stayed here with our four children for six days. We had two rooms, canal side, with connection door. The rooms was big, spotles clean and had private, outdoor bathrooms and big balconys. The cleaning was exellent and the rooms was very confortable and very nice designed. The resort had two swimmingpools, great for the kids! Breakfast buffet was good and the food in the resturant was really great! They had also the best fruitshakes we ever tasted... The staff here was always warm, smiling and helpful and they really made us feel welcomed here. The resort is located outside Ao nang in fantastic surroundings, you feel like you´re in the jungle. It´s a long walk to Ao Nang, but there is not a problem since they offer free transfer to the beaches (one way) whenever you like and it worked perfect - the longest we had to wait for transport was two minutes! There´s also free WiFi if you have a laptop and free internet at the reception. This was one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in, this resort offers great value for money. We had a really good stay at Sunda Resort and next time in Ao Nang we will defenitly stay here again. Thank´s everyone at Sunda!

We stayed here with our four children for six days. We had two rooms, canal side, with connection door. The rooms was big, spotles clean and had private, outdoor bathrooms and big balconys. The cleaning was exellent and the rooms was very confortable and very nice designed. The resort had two swimmingpools, great for the kids! Sunda staff are very friendly and helpful, a warm stay indeed. Room decoration is in spa style, simple, green and relaxing. I like the bathroom especially, with some sunshine coming through the roof. However, the resort location is a bit far from activities center, Ao Nang beach. Sunda provides private taxi to fetch you out, but do prepare to pay for taxi to be back. Journey to Ao Nang takes about 5 mins by taxi. Breakfast is only ordinary, but Sunda meals (lunch, dinner)is excellent! Cleanliness can be improved somemore as cleaners did not sweep beneath the bed. Overall, good value for money and a very enjoyable resort to stay!

Thank you all at Sunda resort,the best resort that we stayed in Thailand and funny enough the cheapest.Clean,lovely accommodation,smiley staff,fantastic surroundings! Perfect for couples or families but not with young children. The price was amazing through siameservices,do book before,also book pool view villa.I saw some comments about cats and ants,come on people,you are in the middle of the jungle! Cats are important to Thai people,so tough if you don't like them, do expect to see them everywhere including the tables.Even so I have never had an upset stomach like in some other countries.The resort is a bit away from the main streets but for me that was an advantage!

f I go to Ao Nang again I would definitely go back to Sunda. The staff is service minded in a relaxed way, the food is great, breakfast is good, rooms and bathrooms are very clean and well kept and swimming pool and garden is great! The resort provides anything you need; MC rental, free WIFI, free internet in reception, washing facilities, free tuktuk service to beach/AO Nang center etc etc. The Resort do not serve alcohol, but it is ok to bring your own to your balcony/room. And do not miss to try their coconut shake! I can honestly say that I cannot find anything bad about Sunda, it is just great!

The Sunda Resort was very enjoyable. The facilities are clean, well maintained and very tropical looking. The rooms were comfortable, spacious enough, with very good bathroom and shower facilities. About 1km away from the beach but there is a free tuk tuk ride into town any time for hotel guests and it's actually good to be away from the noise at Ao Nang. All the staff are extremely courteous and helpful. I didn't have any issue with the resort being muslim. The rooms are large and comfortable (I stayed in a standard twin). Lots of variety in the included breakfast and all the other food we tried at the restaurant was fantastic (especially the tom yum kong)! The two pools at the resort are cleaned regularly. About 5 minutes to Ao Nang beach via free tuk-tuk (30B per person on the way back). The resort also owns a couple of very pretty cats and a family of chickens - which the children all found very exciting (as did I)! Would definitely recommend this to friends and family.

We stayed at three different hotels in Thailand, which two of them are in Krabi. Between Sunda Resort and Lanta Palace, I like Sunda Resort a lot more!!! Friendly service, clean rooms, nice staff, and delicious food make us regret that we didn't stay there for five nights! :D If you go to Krabi and want to choose a hotel to stay at near Ao Nang Beach, Sunda Resort should be one of your considerations for sure!

There's a drawback on the booking service. There are eleven of us and we booked six standard rooms at Sunda Resort. However, we could only get four standard rooms and two garden view rooms due to some technical problems. The difference of the rate is not a big problem, but when we arrived at the resort, we found that both garden view rooms and standard rooms are ALL THE SAME! There's NO difference AT ALL!!!

This was a beautiful place to spend our last few days relaxing in Thailand. The staff welcomed us with a cold drink as they took our luggage, they were always helpful and lovely.The rooms were excellent with a great pool outside.Breakfast offered a huge range to choose from, and the food was great. 10 min walk to beach or they had a free tuk tuk service to take you there or to town. This was a fantastic place to stay if you don't need to be in the center of town.

Very nice resort. Clean rooms, attractive gardens, friendly staff with very high standard of spoken English. Particularly suitable for families with children as there are two small pools and the grounds are secure and self-contained. Close enough to the beach for easy access but far enough away to escape the bustle. Good breakfast for this price. Note that alcohol is NOT served at the resort but of course you can buy your own and keep it in the fridge if you need to. Highly recommended.

Fantastic resort. We really enjoyed our stay here. The resort is out of Ao Nang which suited us, but the hotel offers a free tuk tuk to Ao Nang (5mins away). Still plenty of things to do in the area. We met a lot of nice people on our travels but none as friendly and helpful as the staff at Sunda. Whilst the resort is next to a mosque this did not disturb our holiday in anyway, but added to the experience. The only difficulty was the showerhead was not high enough up the wall to wash your hair with the running water over you, but the showerhead was removable from the wall to wash hair first. Just a little cold on early mornings before the sun comes up! Great breakfast and pools. Also a great place to stay if you are on your way to one of the nearby islands. Overall we had an excellent stay and would return to Sunda.

Very nice new resort. It's about a 10min Tuk Tuk ride to Ao Nang beach where a lot of the shops and restaurants are. ( Resort has it's own tuk tuk that will drop you off, it will cost you 30 baht each to return) Rooms were large with your own deck area. I loved the open bathroom, but it does have it's downside of letting Mozzies in. We weren't too crazy about the shower floor as it's 4 large round stones, looks pretty cool thou. Breakfast was a bit average, fruits and hot food was never covered. No Alcohol was served at the resort

Overall this is a very nice resort. One wing was under constructuion when I was there but this did not detract from the rooms athat had been completed. A wonderful rain forest setting and very nice swimming pool. The resort is inland, about 10 minutes walk from the beach or a 30 Baht Tuk-Tuk ride into the centre of Ao Nang. Be aware a mosque is next door and prayers start at 5am - this adds to the atmosphere. Recommended, would stay again.
