Riktigt fint och fräscht! Vi bodde i en bungalow, ligger en bit upp för en backe från lobbyn och kan vara jobbigt att gå om man har svårt för det, men annars inga problem. Kanonställe med bra service!

Great hotel with good location in Ao Nang, only 5 minutes to the beach and longtailboats. Stayed in a standard bungalow and it was nice, clean and large. Good breakfast and nice staff. It was a bit high up to our bungalow, but it´s only get you strong legg :). Would gladly stay here again.

We were 4 people (2 adults and 2 children aged 14 and 16) and we stayed 5 nights. The bungalow was clean and quite large. There were A/C, safe, TV and a refrigerator in the bungalows. 1 beach towel each was also included. The breakfast included was OK, not more.

Welcoming very good, receptionist's english was very good(unusual in thail).We were upgraded from bungalow->teak bungalow @ no cost - very good!Location of bungalow far up in the hill/jungle though, not expected-not good, but they help with luggage(car).Bungalow very good, clean(no bugs!),big and AC exeptional. No view from bungalow-only jungle. Very nice staff. Roomservice english not good. Wrong roomservice pricelist in room, higher price on checkout even though we showed it to them-very bad! Nice pool, but shallow. Poolarea good, but needs more sunbeds-always occupied. Poolbar very simple & not always staffed. Free lobby wifi, but poor connection. Breakfast ok, prices ok but internet expensive at own room. Modern clean shower but low pressure. Facilities very nice. Choose room near main building if you want everything close. Quiet location (except from different nature soundings). Overall: A satisfying stay for us.

MOI! Olimme ison ryhmän kanssa joulun 2011 Tipa Resort hotellissa.. Itse hotellin huoneet olivat OK mutta vanhat majat syvällä viidakossa EI!!! Henkilökunta oli ystävällistä kuten aina Thaimaassa. Ao Nang on hyvä ja rauhallinen paikka käydä lasten kanssa. ps.huone arvio on BAJAMAJALLE viidakossa.

Vi hade bokat bungalow och bodde i den i 4 nätter men när ett häftigt regn kom så regnade det in och vi blev uppgraderade till ett deluxerum. Bungalowen var helt ok men enkel så bytet till delux kändes lyxigt och var fräscht och fint med perfekt läge nära pool och frukost. Jag hade sett flera kommentarer om att frukosten var dålig men den var jättebra. Mycket att välja på och om något var slut så var det bara att säga till personalen så fixade dom fram mer! Det enda jag kan klaga på var att en del av personalen i princip inte förstod någon engelska alls men i receptionen fungerade det bra!

We reserved a Teak Bungalow and got confirmation for it. On arrival, the reception wanted to talk us into an upgrade to a Grand Deluxe room in the new main building. The Teak Bungalows are under renovation, but reservations are confirmed anyway. We insisted to stay in a Teak Bungalow and got finally one. Besides this first disappointment, the service at Tipa Resort was great. The Teak Bungalows are nicely situated in a forest, green and quiet. The Bungalow was clean and big enough, everything made of wood. The only minus was the shower in form of a narrow plastic cubicle. You need to walk a bit uphill from the main building / pool to the bungalows. There is no WiFi in the bungalows. SiameServices has a renovation notice on the web site. Actually it's a complete new reception building and there is quite a bit of hammering and drilling going on. The noise affects only the main buildings close to the pool, and especially the pool area. We did not hear much in our bungalow. Probably because of the ongoing construction works and the low season there were only few guests in the resort. Having the remote bungalow and not using the pool, we had a good time. It seems to me that the pool is much too small to serve all the guests if the Tipa Resort with it's new main building is fully booked. I expect a hectic atmosphere and fights for the few recliners. I would come again, but only in low season.

Tipa Hotel is à construction site and the work start 07:00 until 21:00 every day so you can not use the pool area. The breakfast was the worst that we ever had in Thailand and we have stayed in 14 hotels before. My advidse dont stay here!

Spent one week at the bungalows. it was really nice. maybe nothing for a family with small kids. but for us it was perfect. 5 min from the longtailboats and 1 min from the street. at the evening it was like out in the jungle. ( yes the moskitos where there to). Friendly staff at hotel to. Next time i visit Krabi this would be the hotel.

I was a little bit disapointed. poor breakfast and the service was not so good. I can absolute get my coffe by myself but when the system is to be served it must work. all boild eggs was finished when the time was 09.30.The youghurt was placed in the sun without any ice below, no chees. The visit at Tipa was our third week in Thailand and all of us 9 persons become sick more or less. The children pool was not clean and the area around not inviting at all, no sun beds and the water falling down in the children pool was noisy not what you want. The adult pool was wery ground and felt not so clean and even the pool area could be better cleaned. Nice Delux rooms but everything around must also wor and it did´t. We will not come back.

Virtually no staff speak English, so be prepared. We booked a suite, and it was actually a holiday apartment! No lifts so had to walk up and down 3 floors. Breakfast was rubbish unless you went between 7 and 7.30! The hotel Bar was a joke, no empty bottles were replaced during our visit! We will not be staying here again.

Great location up on the edge of jungle and just steps from the waterfront. We stayed in the teak bungalow that was beautiful with cute little tree chipmunk type things running all over the place! Very steep climb to the teak bungalows at the top of the resort - a hard slog after a number of trips up and down each day but well worth it. Food quite good and the brekky buffet generous and delicious. Bar a little expensive and the cocktails just so-so. Staff are wonderful and very friendly. One issue was the pool - was green and not swimmable when we were there.

We made reservation for the bungalow but unfortunately this was a disappointment compared to the internet! So we uppgraded our room to a deluxe and that was fantastic! The hotel is perfect situated and very friendly and helpful staff. The poolarea is however pretty small and some days it was not possible to find a bed there unless you were very early. The hotel also have a very nice restaurant with good food and nice staff.

My experience at Tipa was not pleasant. The resort it self looks nice from the outside, however the bungalow I stayed in was very run down. I paid 3500 baht per night and for that money in Thailand I expected a better quality room. I have stayed in many accommodations in Thailand and this resort was far the worst I have stayed in. The flyscreen was ripped, the decor was very old, the bathroom tiles were very mouldy and the toilet very dirty. I complained to the staff and they were not helpful. I was forced to pay 2,000 baht for a gala dinner which was the food wasn't very good. Total waste of money. I would not recommend anyone to stay at this resort.

We were orginallly given the most filthy/vile room I ve ever seen, it made Motel 6 look like a 5* hotel. When we checked in the front desk asked for room payment even though we presented them with the SiameServices payment voucher. We then were given our bungalow and I can not express how filthy this bungalow was - the walls looked like they d been whitewashed only about 10 years ago and were now stained brown. The fabric headboard was stained with what looked like bodily fluids. The curtains were threadbare and aged yellow with huge stains. The towels were so old they were gray. There were bugs everywhere in the room. There was a dirty very very old fridge in the room. The floors, bathroom, etc. were unclean. We complained and were told that this was the room we had booked even though it did not fit the description on the website at all. They told us the description was for a teak bungalow and not the regular bungalow and that there was nothing they could do. Although the bungalows were slightly cheaper in price we had booked the bungalow because they sounded nicer than the regular rooms. After returning to our room once again, we knew there was no way we could stay in this room, we were actually afaid of getting a disease from it due to the filth. We went back and complained of the filth and another clerk finally moved us to a deluxe room. This room was fine except for half the lights were burned out and we had a totally cold shower everyday. We did not mention these problems since the front desk was rude to us after they moved us. It also seems like they have a scam going where the safes in the rooms break and then they charge you to open the save. The grounds were very nice and it was a lovely setting. If we would have been given the deluxe room to start with or a bungalow in that condition we would have been happy with the experience. However, the first bungalow we were given ruined our experience because it was so appalling.

The location and the hotel is great. It is only located 50 m from the main road but you can not hear a sound from the crowds and the nightlife. 100 meters to the place from where the boats go to Phra-Nang, Rai-Ley etc.The breakfast is good, the staff nice and the pool good. We´ve been to AoNanag 4 times before and this was the best value for money so far. The rooms are big and clean. There is a small playground for the children next to the restaurant which is good. Can only recomend it!

A wonderful, secluded resort - still only a few minutes from the beach and the hassle in the street. We stayed in # 215 and 216, which had perfect views over the Ao Nang bay. We could open a door between our two rooms, which was very nice. Very good service, trip arrangements and restaurant. The cumpolsory New Years Eve dinner and show was much too expensive and quite boring actually. We (and many others)left before it finished. When we booked we tried to get a bungalow, but I think the rooms we got were even better (better view, less mosquitos...).

Tipa Resort was fantastic! We stayed in a deluxe double room, it was very clean and very comfortable with a lovely view over the pool. Breakfast was great, had the normal selection of food- cereal, fruit, toast, eggs made to your liking, tea coffee and juices. Swimming pool looks smaller in the photo's but was actually a good size. Bed was very comfortable, bathroom was very clean and would definitely stay here again if I visit Krabi. Highly recommended hotel. There is building work going on at the back of the hotel but this was not disruptive at all.

Deluxe room is spacious and very clean. Staff are friendly and those at reception always remember our room number and come out from the counter to give back our rooom key when we return to the resort. We stayed at a superior bungalow for two nights in the beginning of April 2008 and were quite happy with it altought the shower wasn't working very well and the towels in the room were quite old. But the environment around the resort is wonderful! Bungalows are almost in the jungle and you can see lots of animals. For example we saw some monkeys and lizards in the front of our bungalow. That was great! The reception area is also very good and well equipped and the resort's location is nice, near the beach street.

Ett väldigt fint hotell... kanske lite mer för den lugna gästen och familjen. Vi befann oss knappt på hotellet så det kändes som om vi inte fick ut allt av vad som erbjöds. Lite dyrt med tanke på det. Annars bra service (välkomstdrink), fin pool, helt ok frukostbuffé (blev lite tjatig efter några dar). Vi bodde i en Bungalow och den var väl sådär. Inte lika fin som på korten. Mycket myggor och insekter i träden runtomkring (dom låter lite på eftermiddan), dock fick vi inga myggbett :) Perfekt läge, mitt i Ao Nang centrum. Nära till stranden (longtailbåtar), men ändå ingen störande trafik (trots det centrala läget). Tyst nattetid.

Excellent. Location ( no view of the beach area as it is a little back from it) great - only a very short stroll. Breakfast excellent, with variety. LH end of Ao Nang beach is the best. Loads of massage huts and day time bars. Do check out Fishermans Lane for food and the Night Market. Both are fantastic. Great spot for a few days. 1900 baht is value for money for basic bungalow.

Beautiful resort with friendly staff. We stayed in the bungalow for 5 days and liked it very much. The location is very good and within minutes you can walk to Ao Nang beach to stay there or go with a longtail boat to other beaches around krabi (wich are more beautiful). Breakfast was very good, but we didn't have dinner there so I cannot comment on that. We would certainly go back to this resort.

Very lovely! Loved our Baanmai bungalow, it was quiet and comfortable. Grounds beautifully cared for. We enjoyed the restaurant for several meals and the food was excellent. Hotel staff were warm and welcoming and looked after us completely. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Very nice and clean hotel. Staff very helpful and friendly. Got a Welcome-drink when we came - nice! Very good location, close to everything. Really good minimart at the entrance. Good breakfast. We can only complain about one thing and that is allowing smoking around both breakfast and pool! Please have an area only for smokers, do not allow people to smoke all over the place! But overall a very beautiful hotel and we will stay there again if we comes to Ao Nang!

Excellent mid-range resort in Ao Nang. It's located very close to the main street and the beach, but is also set back from the road and is very quiet---no street or party noise at night. Our room was very clean and with a gorgeous view of the pool and surrounding landscape. The staff was very helpful and friendly. If we ever travel to Ao Nang again, I would book at Tipa in a heartbeat---no exaggeration.

Aonang itself is more touristic and crowded than we expected, so are the - very beautiful - beaches around. If you are looking for relaxation go somewhere else.

Wonderful hotel in beautiful surroundings very close to the centre. Staff very helpful and freindly although occasional language problems. Breakfast same daily but ample. Deluxe room was very clean spacious and ideally situated with great views. Overall a lovely hotel highly recommended, would come again.

The hotel is very pretty. They have a magnificent garden and the place is just enchanting. We stayed 3 nights at Tipa Resort and we loved every minute of it. The staff is extremely helpful and nice. We stayed in a Baanmai bungalow and it was just wonderful. The bungalow was clean and brand new. There was a great view. The food is good and they have the best cocktails in town ! The swimming pool is wonderful and the massages are great !We would come back without a doubt. It is very well situated, just next to the restaurants, shopping centers and cool bars and 200 meters from the beach. Excellent hotel and excellent service !

We loved our stay at the Tipa in the Baanmai teak wood house on the hillside in the jungle environment. A warm welcome, with an accompanying glass of strawberry juice while we completed the paperwork, and then we were transported by electric buggy up the pathways to our secluded, well kept villa. Check the pictures on the SiameServices website – what you see is what you get – a couple of photos are also on my Picasa site http://www.picasaweb.google.com/barry.mcgloin under Nov/Dec 2007. What it can’t show you is the warm glow of enjoyment as you sip a cool drink on the veranda in the soft twilight while listening to the sounds of tropical birds, animals and insects. In the morning you walk down through the attractive gardens to the restaurant for a generous breakfast of choice to set you up for the day. Just outside the secluded Tipa, Thai commerce is in full swing, and a few minutes’ walk takes you to the beach where you can swim or board a boat to other picturesque destinations in the region. If you prefer to spend a day at the resort, the Tipa has an inviting blue pool with its limestone cliff backdrop, and the restaurant has a good lunch and dinner menu. A minor gripe here – the restaurant background music is exceptionally bland; I would prefer Thai folk, fusion or jazz, however it seems to be geared to the conservative palate. To conclude, the accommodation is immaculate, attractive and very convenient to Ao Nang and the main beach. The staff are professional, friendly and cheerful and the service is excellent. Mr. A.S. & Mrs. M.K. from 29.10.07-10.11.07. We were extremely happy and satisfied with the entire hotel, very nice design, the reception - always smiling and helpful, the location, very clean rooms, beautiful tropical park, the staff - in particular the manager of the restaurant who took care of us so much every time we had breakfast... The only regret is that we came only once at night to have dinner...it was EXCELLENT and even cheaper as some restaurants outside!!! We higly recommend this hotel and we will come back...!!! Be aware that the hotel if you look at some maps seems to be not to close from the beach... which is wrong!!! It is 50m. from the beach opposite to Ao Nang Villa Resort.

Great reception upon arrival as compared to another hotel we stayed in earlier on. This is one of the better 3 star hotels there with car porch and big lobby compared to others. Quiet location, about 5 mins walking from the beach. If you want to grab something on the way back to your room, a big 7-11 store is just at the entrance to the resort Nothing to comment on service. About 30 mins from the airport. Room is of reasonable size for a standard room. Breakfast ok, not many varieties. Bascially serving the same food every morning. You can find thai food everywhere on the streets outside the resort if you explore. Adult pool is small, kids pool even smaller. Other than all these, the hotel and place is great. At the beach, lots of massage stands offering all kinds of massages for 200 bahts/hr. Lots of walkings, sun, and insects. Not a place to be if you are very particular about all these.

Received a very warm welcome. Tipa is very good located near all the shops and restaurants, despite this, resort is pretty secluded and quiet. Bungalows are kind of dark and simple, hard bed as always in Thailand, good a/c. Good restaurant, breakfast is buffé style but pretty simple. Supermarket is located just at the entrance. Never got around to check out the pool.

Quite nice hotel, a little too expensive on my opinion. Our deluxe room had a great location near the reception and facing the pool, but our friends had a room in the back and they got really fed up with walking the stairs. The pool was very small and not so tempting. During our stay there were so many kids playing in the pool with water toys, that we didn't feel like going at all. Location could have been nearer to the main street and the beach. Service was okay. Breakfast was superb.

Tipa staff were very welcoming. Bungalow was spacious and very clean, surrounded by dense plantation - most jungle like! Pool had lovely views and was quite peaceful. Buffet breakfast was varied and plentiful. Location was ideal as close to beach, restaurants and bars. Would recommend!!
