Since I last stayed at Baan Boa Resort in 2009 the standard of breakfast has improved considerably and I would now rate it as high as a 4 star hotel. Hotel staff were extremely helpful and all other facilities were good. Closeness to the beach (the quiet end of Patong Beach) also adds to the appeal.

The clientel has changed ower they last few years to very noisy people. The management dont do anything with that problem and it will give the hotel an bad image. The standard of restaurant has be raised and cleaning etc. is absolutely ok. An big part of the staff can you recognize from a year to another.

This hotel is a very nice stay with nice room, good pool, good service and people and close to the beach and shopping...there's just one thing I don't like: you have to pay for wifi! at even budget guesthouses wifi is free now so they should really include fgree wifi in their service

we stayed here same time last year. we do enjoy it as its close enough and also far away enough from the crazyness that is Patong. Pool is very nice, we never ate at the resturant as there are lots of other places around. Breakfast there everyday does get very boring but for the price you pay its good. 2 eggs, bacon, bread and fruit. as for the service of the place some are very nice but mostly look board all the time. you did have to ask for things you wanted at least two times but we dont see this as too much of a problem. we stayed here for 1week in the end and would be back as its cheap and still nice. we found a short cut which was through the merlin hotel that looks very nice but much more expensive-if you cut through here its so close to O-Top markets.

I liked it very much. Oikein mukava pikkuhotelli Patong Beachin eteläpäässä. Rantaan matkaa 20m vain kadun yli. Hotellissa on 4 kerrosta, mutta ei hissiä. Sisäpihalla hieno uima-allas. Palvelut monipuolisia, matkat, räätäli, taxi, hieronta, ym. Asukkaat enimmäkseen ruotsalaisia tai venäläisiä.

Rooms were economical and close enough to the Patong stretch, yet not so close as to be noisy or congested. Rooms were spacious but could be cosier. Counter staff were ok although 1 was rather unhelpful.

we stayed in Baan Boa Resort for 2 nights.First of all the resort is little bit far away from night life,tuk tuk charged 200 Bhat one way,secondly it has same brekfast everyday you have to order everytime its not buffet.Thirdly Airconditioner was horrible it didnt work at all irrespective of several complaints it was not fixed so we have to move out of this Resort(i should better say it as hotel).DON'T STAY

Very nice hotel, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was basic but freshly cooked, the other food available was a good standard. The room decor is a little dated but everything worked and was very clean, the mini-bar prices are good. The pool got sun from about 10am until 4pm and the beach is just across the road. I would definately come here again.

We booked their Run of house at special rate. Stayed there 4 nights, from 10th June to 14th June 2009. We checked in about 9 pm in the night. Reception was manned by two friendly male staff and checking in was pretty fast. Although during booking we requested for non-smoking and adjoining rooms and a few days before we send reminder again by email to the hotel reception, these, we believe were never looked into. We had informed that we will be checking in late in the evening. We were given 3 rooms all smelled of tobacco and they are clearly NOT non-smoking rooms as the rooms have cigarette trays. It didn't help even when the housekeeper sprayed some air-freshener. Two rooms were adjacent but the other one was at the extreme end of the building, which caused us a little inconvenience as we have 3 teenagers and 2 children with us. All rooms have windows that face the dirty walls of the next buildings. Missing items were found in the minibar and only when we reported it, were we told that the hotel is aware of it and that all the 3 rooms have the same missing items in the minibar. Who knows what would happen during check out if we have kept quiet about it. Housekeeping staff that cleaned the rooms were unfriendly. When we entered the room to take something while cleaning was taking place, she showed her displeasure openly. Bedsheets were not changed throughout our stay. Breakfast at Boa Resturant was the same everyday. You either order porridge or toast with bacon/sausages/ham and egg cooked different styles. The waitresses were unfriendly and putting on long faces every morning when we were there for breakfast. We have to ask for our coffee and tea to be topped up every morning. Besides taking order and serving our meals, they would just stand at the bar counter without any attention being paid to the customers. My take is that the staff absolutely lack proper training. We needed to check out early to catch a morning flight. Morning call was informed to the reception staff, but morning call never come except to the room where our children were put up. Location wise, very near to beach. But this southern part of Patong beach is almost covered by sea water during high tides. Will not stay at this resort again. For the same price there are better hotels nearby.

Baan Boa Resort is an absolute value for money. located at the end of Patong Beach, this quaint resort offers awesome views of the beach (if you book the deluxe rooms. I have stayed at Baan Boa and have recommended to friends, who have all had a great time at this hotel. Breakfast is moderate but good for price we pay. Hotel staff is very helpful and the service is good.

An ideally placed hotel just 20m from the beach and within easy walking distance from the nightlife. Rooms were clean and comfortable and well serviced. Breakfast was of a good standard, although I would have liked a more varied choice of local food. Swimming pool and surrounds were good, although the sun never appeared till late in the afternoon. Reception staff were friendly, courteous and eager to please.

Baan Boa is a lovely place if 1.You do not want to spend too much on hotel stay and 2. if you want to be in the heart of the Patong area but yet have some distance from the humdrum of clubs and market area. The room and bathroom is clean and the service is really nice. The hotel staff is friendly and always serve with a smile. The breakfast is good though not much variety. We stayed for 4 nights at the resort and will go back again as its a very convenient place to be. The beach is just opposite the hotel and even shopping are is down the road.

A beautiful hotel away from the madding crowds.The room we had was large and very comfortable. The sun deck has the most amazing views of the beach. The staff were very friendly and helpful.The swimming pool was immaculate, but such a pity that the water was freezing.I would definately recommend this hotel and would love to stay here again.

The staff were great a this little hotel; we had our scheduled stay there in November through SiameServices, and then booked in there again later on our return from Phi Phi, when we were stuck in Phuket due to the airport blockade drama. They were very helpful with faxes, phoning etc so we felt we were being looked after a bit in the stressful circumstances. Thank you, Baan Boa staff. The room was lovely, too, a nice haven from the not-so-nice shopping/beach strip of Patong. The only complaint I would have is the pool is in shade all day so is cold - but maybe that's a good thing in Phuket! The hotel position is good, on the beach away from the busiest area but easily walkable in 5 minutes. A hint for a better Patong experience - spend some time in the area parallel to the beach road strip. A tuk-tuk will take you there, one street away and you will find some good seafood eating centres and a great Indian/Arab restaurant, and better shopping. The pizzas/pies/Scandinavian food along the beach strip is disappointing if you re after a Thai food experience.

As many first time travellers to Thailand will be, we were also not sure what to expect. Our stay at Baan Boa Resort was excellent. The hotel, as well as the room, was very clean. We had a view over the (very clean) swimming pool and each of these rooms has a balcony. The breakfast was mostly the same every morning, but I like toast, eggs or ommelet, juice, sausages, banana fritters, coffee etc. The hotel in more to the lower end of the beach, and I was afraid we may miss the action. No problem with the location!! We walked 50 metres and were in the middle of everything! You can take the minibus from ther airport - it is cheaper than the taxi - but you will most probably first stop at the office of the group. they offer you some tour packages there, but we organised everything through our hotel once we arrived there. Not more expensive through the hotel. Go with Jack, the taxi-man of the hotel for a tour of the island (we paid 500 Baht for the whole trip) and he stopped whereever we wanted to stop. You will visit a gem shop - not to bad. It is worth going through the one on Phuket where he stopped. Vist Bangla Road for some bar and girl action.

Again this year I visit BaanBoa for more than 10 nights, but this year it was not so successful as earlier. The hotel was in course of construction, so there was a lot of noise and dust.The management ought to inform guest about that before arrive or compensate for the disadvantage . Never mind the staff was as usual freindly and the short way to the beach is an adventage. The breakfast could be more comprehensive with more Thai food.

Family of 6, stayed at the hotel for 5 days during the low season. Great location near the beach and restaurants, far enough from the noisy areas. As mentioned, the hotel is not impressive from the outside, but much more pleasant once you get inside. Nice long pool, quiet restaurant, spacious rooms. We were lucky to get 3 rooms on the ground floor, one facing the pool (very convenient). Very friendly and helpful staff, extremely nice and professional massage team (we became regular customers). Breakfast not breath-taking but sufficient to get you started in the morning. Overall we enjoyed our stay tremendously, and will certainly consider coming back (hopefully the construction work will be over by then).

We chose this hotel after reading the comments from the guests who had stayed there before us. We vere not disipointed.Very good rooms, clean and close to the sea. We could even se the andaman sea from our balcony. Unfortenately there was big renovation going on after the first week, and we had not been told anything about this vhen we boked. It was a terrible noice for 1,5 week. But, in spite of that, it was a very good hotel and we cane recommend it

The hotel is small & not very impressive on arrival, but their service more than makes up for it. All our requests were promptly attended to & always with a smile! The rooms are clean & not too small, with a little balcony though unfortunately no view! The buffet breakfast is a little restricted in terms of options, but they do have an egg station & friendly staff. I would say it is good value for money & overall a pleasant experience.

What a fantastic hotel. The location is perfect, 10 metres from the beach, 5 minute walk from the main street where all the restaurants, shops and pubs are. The staff were brilliant, friendly, attentive and always smiling, the complimentary breakfast was better than expected. Overall for the price the hotel is well worth the money and I will be definately staying here again. Highly recommend it.

Brilliant. What a marvellous place to stay. Across the road from the beach, 5 minute walk to Bangla Rd, wonderful breakfast menu. As with all Thai hotels, the staff are wonderful. The breakfast was amazing, with plenty of variety and as much as you can eat.The room was large and overlooked the pool. We even had a reasonable view of Patong beach. Sure we had to walk up stairs to the room, but that just walked off breakfast.

Our first disappointment with SiameServices booking service. The limmo we ordered did not arrive at the airport. However we just jumped in a cab and our money was refunded at the hotel. Otherwise as usual, very efficient.

Lovely staff and quiet loaction. However this is not a five star property - more like 3+. The two rooms we had faced the side of the hotel next door and were very dark, noisy and stank of cigarette smoke. Make sure you get one of the pool view rooms, they would be much nicer. Breakfast was average, but we would not stay here again.

If you want a hotel that is 5 star,missing only the glitz that make it 5 star and expensive, this is the hotel. Everything is very good. Swimning pool is very big, great for exercising but maybe 2 deep overall for young kids. Beach is opposite beach which is very clean and water calm where as other end of beach, water is very rough. Room big and clean.food good, room service good. Road in front of hotel is just at end of main beach road and very quiet. A great deal for the price or any price..Make sure you get lower floors of this 4 story bldg, no elevator.
