Five star pricing, 3 star quality. Large room, very little storage. Lighting useless. House keeping great. Repairs didn't happen, we had to do ourselves. Room menu limited, food good. Check out takes really long time. Mattress extremly hard, extra padding useless.

The staff should be better at speaking english. I would not recommend it to other families with children. To many drunk people and loud music at night. Not enough breakfast in the morning.

Hvem we cafe to the hotel, they die not find our reservation. We had to wait for 1 hour. We had problems with change of towells an refilling of toilet paper etc allmost every day. Kontated the resepsjon an hosekeeping, but.... The staff in the restaurant was fantastic.

Possibly the worst service i have experienced ever.All facilities were good but add humans and it was a disaster.no hot water,breakfast was always cold with 60% run out,one ommlet chef for 100 people then 20 table waiters who moved your half finished plate if you got up for a cup of tea,they forgot our early morning airport call,they booked taxi wrong time for airport,internet mostly didnt work,tech guy messed about with my PC now it wont go on any other networks....Never again.

We had two rooms at Baan Laimai one for myself and my husband and one for our two teenage boys. The boys room toilet blocked for the first four days and they were without power and water. The fridge in our motel did not work properly.

Very good location, but the only thing that wont make me go back is the construction/drilling that was going on during our stay & god know when they will be done, because they are still renewing the hotel, and they are planning on demolishing the old building - Not recommended to stay in it at all, it has very old furniture & the band starts playing from 7-ish till 12am which can be heard throughout the hotel specially the old building. But other than that the pool view & the pool access room are amazing rooms, very spacious & modern. The parking was fine, but... the access was from the back roads - no access from Patong beach rd. Final word, a big NO, i d rather stay in Courtyard Marriott or Nap Hotel for the same price.

It is realy agood hotel, and i realy enjoyed my time there.. I was staying at room no. 8103 and the problem was that this room is realy noisy, i was hearing the kitchen sound inside my room, beside that the door of the room was not sealed properly, so i was hearing people foot steps on the floor infront of my room like the door is open.. And the construction & maintenance sound was realy annoying.. I hope that you consider my opinion and solve this problems in the future...

We expected a little more for a 5 star resort. The shower did not drain, the water was cold and between 5 - 6 pm there was NO water at all from the hot tap. The resort was vey tired and because of the renovations very dusty and noisy. Breakfast staff were outstanding,reception staff tried very hard to please a little challenging with a lack of English. If you are looking for 2 to 3 star go ahead and stay here. It is very central. For us though (and we travel a lot) Very disappointing

1.ห้องน้ำแย่มากๆ เวลาอาบน้ำต้องถือฝักบัวไว้ตลอดเวลา และผ้าม่านสำหรับกันอาบน้ำก็จะพันตัวเราตลอดเวลาเนื่องจากห้องอาบน้ำแคบมาก แชมพูสระผมได้แข็งมากๆ 2.แอร์ไม่เย็นเลย เก่ามาก(เปิด 18 องศา) 3.สั่งผัดไทยมากินแต่ไม่มีเครื่องปรุง ราคาประมาณ 329 บาท 4.ไม่มีการส่งหนังสือพิมพ์ตอนเช้า 5.อาหารเช้าแย่มากๆ มีให้เลือกน้อยมาก และมีชาวต่างชาติที่กินหมูแต่อาหารมีแต่หมูเยอะมาก ทำให้ชาวต่างชาติกินได้แต่ขนมปังกับแตงกวา และมะเขือเทศ 6.ตอนนี้ห้องกำลังปรับปรุงอยู่ตอนเช้าๆจะมีคนงานปีนขึ้นมามองเห็นเราได้ต้องปิดม่านตลอดเวลา (พักอยู่ที่ชั้น 4) 7.Location ดีมากเดินข้ามถนนไปก็ถึงชายหาด แต่ไม่มีทีจอดรถ 8. ตอบกลางคืนมีดนตรี และร้านอาหารหน้าโรงแรม อาหรอร่อยมาก

100% recommend the hotel, awesome location just up from Bangla Road but pool is set back and quite peacefull, place is modern and stunning. yes some work going on but you dont really notice it. Band played every night. If i was pushedfor a negative it would be fact that we did not have one meal at hotel as was very expensive but thats all i can come up with.

Hotel is undergoing new addittion so construction noise is constant all day, however if you are out of the room all day it will not bother you. Room was very good and a reasonable price, however I suspect that once construction is finished room rates will rise as this hotel is just across the road from the beach.If noise is an issue, you may want to consider some other hotel as there is noise from the musical entertainment until around 1 am. For the price I paid it was excellent value, however the food is overpriced and mediocre. Skip dinner at the hotel and try the 2 Sisters restaurant not more than a 5 minute walk from the hotel, the food is very good and reasonably priced. The room was very clean and of superior quality and I would stay at the hotel again as long as the price was still reasonable. Some advice: take some mosquito repellant and apply before going for breakfast. They hang around under the tables just waiting for tasty unsuspecting foreign morsels to feast on.

Lo mejor del Hotel es su emplazamiento y la amabilidad de los empleados que allí trabajan.Situado frente a la playa y en el centro de actividad de Patong Beach es un lugar excelente. No obstante se pueden hacer las siguientes observaciones: El Hotel es algo antiguo por lo que sus instalaciones (mobiliario, comunicaciones,etc.,tambien lo son) El ruido producido por las actuaciones musicales en directo de cada noche, son ami juicio una molestia para los hiuespedes del Hotel. Afortunadamente dicha actividad nunca sobrepasa la 1 de la noche con lo que a partir de esa hora se puede dormir bien. El Hotel esta siendo restaurado en los Bungalows alrededor de la piscina con lo que las molestias a los huespedes en dichas instalaciones ha sido notoria y lo seguirá siendo durante mas de un año que al parecer van a durar las obra. Si no aumentan el precio, una vez finalizadas las obras, y instalan ADSL wireles, operable desde las habitaciones, es un Hotel recomendable.

We booked a 1 night stay and it was OK but nothing special. It has a good location and is pretty big. Room was confortable but nothing special. Be careful in the showers and the hot water comes out boiling! Breakfast was OK. I might consider this hotel again for the location if it was priced ok. Food in the restuarant is very expensive. Look for some deals and it might be worth it.

However when we first came we had booking (from SiameServices) for Bungalow pool view but we got another room and we didn’t have any support from the hotel manager. Also you need to pay 500 baht for every time you bring ladies!!!!!!!!

We returned after 5 years having stayed in Baan Laimai in 2002 and 2003. We had not been here for so long but found that the staff were still warm and welcoming, the rooms were still very clean and tidy and the restaurant food was good. Sittuated as it is there is plenty of life close bywith many good bars and restaurants. The main pool is excellent for adults but as it is one depth not ideal for non swimmers, our only disappointment is that the pool does not have a bar, though you can get refreshments brought from the restaurant. All in all a very nice place to stay

We stayed at this hotel but were not impressed. Our deluxe room had no windows at all and was dark and dingy. The hotel is behind a busy restuarant with very loud music until 1am every night. We had to move rooms just to get some sleep. There is a large building site next door. Service and pool good but hotel is well overpriced. Beware.

the price was very nice 1550 baht for a good hotel right in the middle of patong beach , with a nice swimming pool .rooms are clean . altho i staied in other hotels in phucket wich was more laxury, but we have to remembar that the price was double of baan lai mai . the only thing was bad is the construction nearby. but any way it is starting at time you suppose to be outside enjoying the island!

Excellent staff. Very friendly - went out of their way to help and be nice. Even gave us a valentines day bouquet when we had forgotten it was valentines! Very TROPICAL boutique resort. Out-doorsy, so not the place for you if you hate tiny cute frogs and the sounds of cicadas. Food was very well priced and cooked well. Very good breakfast with fresh watermelon and pineapply juice. Only minus point was the lack of shower pressure and lack of hot water during the shower, but it was real hot anyways... so we didn;t mind too much. Overall loved the experience more than our $200/night hotel in Koh Lanta.
