A nice hotel on a quiet island. Very nice beach with good snorkling.It´s sad that the beach infront of the beachfront bungalows has been swept away. A good place to relax and enjoy the calm atmosphere. Many peoples comes to the island just for the day but they usually stays at the other part of the beach. Not much to do at night so you have to like the stillness.

I had a great stay! The cabins are getting a little beach tired but you can see where the resort is starting to fix some things up. They are clean and tidy, the beds are comfy. The food was a bit average sometimes, but the cocktails made up for it. When you are in a great location with fantastic weather, everything is wonderful.

The man in the reception was NOT friendly at all and it looked that he did not care when we asked him something. He just told his staff to see us! 1 of the rooms had a problem with a/c and they could not fix it. The beach not so close to the rooms was very unclean. The pool area was nice but we missed a bar near the pool.

We have been to the island before and found it the same as then. Great! We don't expect much but get more then we wanted. Power is turned off twice a day. We wanted to watch the Rugby during the time the power would have been off. They changed the time for us so that we could watch the match. The staff were friendly and the rooms kept clean. The food was made to perfection and the service was good. Will definitely go back.

Perfect if you only want to eat, sleep, feed the fish and relax. This is a very basic island paradise. Only 4 guests on the island on our last night. Perfect! It has it's faults but if you want something different for a couple of days, this is the place. We have been there 5 times and have booked again for Dec 2011 so it has us hooked.Huge swimming pool if the tide is low, nice staff and all yours after the day trips leave at about 1530 each day.

We are normally very happy travellers and have visited Thailand about 8 times total. However, this resort didn't meet our expectations on any level. The pool+area: It felt like someone had forgotten about the poolarea. No real sunbeds (only a few chairs), 100's of dead thumb-sized bugs on the ground, a few dirty matrasses thrown on the ground and no nearby toilet etc available. The Restaurant: EXPENSIVE. The price was high already but they also add a 7%VAT and 10% service charge. Note that there's NO other place to buy drinks/water/beer/anything other than in the restaurant and the bar. example: Chang beer 106 baht. Other: The beach was crowded with daytrippers which erased the romantic feeling of being on an island. Sorry to say but we would not recommend this resort to anyone. (we had booked 5 nights but only stayed one and left on the first boat out of there)

Basically this resort is good enough for anyone to purely relax (no shopping) and to enjoy some seaside activities. Beach is clean with clear seawater for snorkels, diving, etc. Do bring your snorkels gears along. Fishing and squid catching are extra fun and also you can prepare some meals with your own gas stove to save some costs. Three important points to note for the guests (1) the daily power supply cut off timing (8 am to 11.30 am and 1.30 pm to 5.30 pm),(2) No internet or WIFI in every room and (3) no TV in every room except in the lobby.

What a place!! If you want to switch off , lay back and feel out of this world, THIS is the place to go to. The beach is beautiful, a little crowded during the high season, ( the island is only 9 km away from Chalong Piewr on Phuket island, therefore many boats with tourists reach the beach for a day-trip), but only until 4 p.m., after that it was like heaven to us: white sandy beach, very nice corals in a protected and easily accessible beach and spectacular colorful fishes.

loved the place. it takes a while and the speedboat only works at certain times. our driver had to really go slow to avoid being too early to catch the boat at chalong. resort itself has good facilities. no gym though. very relaxing at the beachfront cottage. there were times the power was out, but not too long for me. be prepared not to have shops etc on the island. i would go back.

The perfect place for a few days of holidays with my family (2kids 2 and 4 years)far from the crazy life of Bangkok. The rooms are simple and clean. The swimming pool is great but we really preferred the beach of the hotel. My wife and I like snorkelling and it was not necessary to take a boat to see corals and beautiful fishes (including clown fish). Everything was there 50m from the beach. Hotel staff is very nice. Most of them can speak english as good enough. Food is good. We particularly appreciated the dinner buffet for 299THB only (199thb for kids normally but it was free form them indeed).

Very nice beach just outside the bungalow, good service, quiet and comfortable. Child-friendly and child-friendly staff. Large nice pool in the middle of the field. Some daytrip tourists during the day, but they usually stop at the far end of stand. Excellent snorkeling just a few meters off the beach. There are also opportunities for diving from the beach. Good pick-up service, came to fetch us at the airport and then transport in their speedboat, the same when we were away to the next hotel. Good food, often buffets in the evenings with live music. We started our holiday here and it was very relaxing and the kids really liked this.

A wonderful simple resort on a beautiful beach. Bungalows are very basic, but clean. Food was good - a breakfast buffet in the morning. We generally chose something from the a la carte menu for lunch, and had the buffet at dinner. (Dinner buffet ranged from 299 to 399 baht per person.) The beach was nice, but snorkeling a little disappointing. Lots of beach chairs. Look for the Hornbill birds that come out in the late afternoon by the pool. The hotel charges 500 baht per person for the boat to and from the island - we thought that was a ripoff, but weren't sure how to arrange for a local boat. Otherwise the staff are very nice and friendly. They put on a fun new years eve party! If you are looking for a relaxing beach this is great, if you are looking for a party place, go to Patong beach.

Quiet, peaceful and beautiful. The accommodation is fairly basic, but clean. The staff are friendly, efficient and welcoming. If you are looking for satellite tv and 24 hr internet, then this is not the place for you. the hotel was ok, very close to the beach. But prices was in heaven, three double the price on food.Mornings and afternoon was OK, but during the day it was like the Normandie it came around 300-400 tourists over the day. Its ok for a day trip, but very busy to stay their. We had paid for 5 nights but we left after 3 nights.

Great little hotel. We stayed, 2 adult and 2 kids, in a waterfront bungalow, only 25 meters from the ocean :) which was a great feeling. Staff was attentive and super friendly. Nice beach and colourful fish and corals at your doorstep - ready to be explored. Food was good - nothing fancy. missed my internet a bit. We will be back again.

Coral Island Resort is so great a place to be at least once in a life time. what makes this island different from others is that, your pravacy is assured. no one disturbs you!!! it is a place you can swim in the sea anytime any how without fear. the rooms are great. foods and drink are secconds to none. your stay can not be completed without fishining. just rent a boat, to sunset, and fishing would be a great day in your life. if fish is your favorate like me, then just tell the staff how you want the fish to be prepared and enoy your meal just by the seaside.what a paradise on earth!!!!

The pickup service was booked by siameservices and was ok from the airport. More than one hours waiting for the boat on chalong bay with 3 children after 22 hours trip... The boats is old and shuld be retired at once. When we arrived the Island the staff was wery helpfull, and they pick up all the bags on the boat and bring them to the room. The resort is a quiet and nice place and there where wery few guest. The beach is wery nice when the tide is high, at low tide you can see the corals from the beach. When you traveling to this island, do it when the tide is high at the right time, high about 1pm, we did. The water is clear, good snorkeling, but bring your own mask, no quality mask on the island. The corals at banana beach, further east on the island, is the best for snorkeling, mutch better then the beach by the resort. The food is expensive and be carefull when choosing food... you may end up on the toilet for many days...I did.. The doubble beachfront bugalow with interconecting door, lies just 6 steps from the sea by high tide, the standard is low, lower than expected, the bath rooms ar dark blue and the water in the bungalow is wery salty. No TV but thats ok, in the evening we was sitting outside talking as we looking and listening too the sea and drinking red wine. All in all the stay was nice and peacefull, don't stay here more than 3-4 night and remember the standard is low.

A very quiet and idilic location to stay at!The bay is very peaceful after 1500hrs when all of the tourists disapear in their longtail boats and speed boats. The accommodation is very basic but does the job and i would recommend staying in the beach front villa's as it is only 3 steps until you reach the beach,the beach has plenty of shade for those of you who cant bask in the glorious sunshine. The Restaurant isnt too hot on service and if there are two of you eating pick wisely from the menu as you tend to get your meals separately although you order at the same time!!!! A pleasant stay on the whole if only staying for a couple of days!!

The hotel is overall good, the rooms are clean and tidy (bunglow on the waterfront) the down side is if you want to go to Phuket for shopping of sight seeing the hotel charges a premium for ferry services, 800THB PER person for a return trip. The rooms have no TV, Internet connections, Phone and all the bath water is salty sea water, which play havoc with your hair and skin as there is no way to wash the salt of.

Staff overall very friendly and helpful. The massage was excellent albeit very expensive and this was confirmed in Bangkok as my husband did the Thai massage course at the Wat Po. Resort is run down and not value for money spent. Pool table lousy. No TV in rooms. Shower water was salty so one could taste it. Food overpriced and mediocre. Had diarrhoea the entire time there which resolved as soon as we left. Power went out twice in the 9 days there. Could only snorkell 2 hours of each day as too windy in the morning for visibility and the tide right out in the afternoon. Coral not so good as it looks like a bit of dynamiting has occurred there in the past. Would not recommend to any of my friends.
