We had a terrible experience at Horizon. We paid for family room (which can accomodate 2 adults + 2kids or 3 adults). But I had to pay breakfast for my kids. I know that the rate only included breakfast for 2 adults. Then I told them my kids were not going to have breakfast there. They answered that even if they don't eat, i still have to pay because they re sharing the amenities. Then why is it called a family room??? Hotel is rather old and not very clean. Breakfast quality is just ok. I wouldn't want to stay there in the future.

Horizon Patong was in a great location and close to beach and lots of markets and restaurants. Room was good for a family of 5..they just had to put an extra bed in room..Breakfast was nice could of done with a little more variety though. Big downfall for the hotel was no elevator and lots of stairs if you are on top floor, so recommend you ask for ground floor room. Otherwise very happy with our stay.

We enjoyed the breakfast buffet and the quiet environment. However, Horizon's main gate is on a small alley. The airport mini van dropped us off at the main road at 2 am so we had to walk through the strange alley with our two kids. It was 5 minutes walking distance.

We are a famliy of 4 and have stayed at a variety of accommodations in Patong Beach over an 7yr period. We have stayed at The Horizon Beach Resort 3 of those. It is a great location, great family environment, fantastic kids club and it offers babysitting. It is hard to share time with your partner once you become a family. The babysitting service allows you to go and enjoy a quiet romantic meal in a beautiful location. My children asked if the sitter could come again because they d had such a great time. There is a pool that is family frinedly with a poolbar for adults too. The buffet breakfast is one of the best we ve had also. It isnt a 5star resort, but it is neat, clean, tidy and you are surrounded by friendly staff. If your children have a great holiday, you have a great holiday. The horizon beach resort gave us all that.The family rooms are very spacious....fantastic.

We stay in 2 family suites, got a connecting room. Room was big, but floor is really sticky when we check in. Aircon was warm, had to ask maintenance to check, took some time for them to come up, but manage to get the aircon fix. Hotel was near the beach though not facing the beach. Just less than 5mins walk. Breakfast is good but not great. They have different buffet menu everyday so won't get sick and tired of eating same thing everyday. Overall a good hotel. Also they provide free shuttle to Karon Horizon to and fro.

Very happy with the hotel location, service, great breakfast (heaps to choose from), Kids Club is small but good to use for an hour or so at a time. Take the mini bar drinks out and buy your own from the mini mart, much cheaper. Nice surroundings, pools are adequate,not massive, but good for cooling off. Use laundry service outside the hotel lobby and can hire a dvd player for the room from them. Recommend!!

My family and I had a wonderful stay in Horizon Patong. Family room is quite comfortable for the 4 of us. All the staff that we met were friendly and approachable and speak good English. Virtually everything is at the doorstep i.e. beach, shops, massage parlors etc. There are quite a number of Halal restaurants within walking distance. We would definitely stay here the next time we are in Phuket.

Really good sized family room with self catering facilities if you need them. Nice couple of pools and the free shuttle to Karon was great. The reception staff weren't the friendliest I ve come across, but when the air conditoning broke down they were very quick to get someone to fix it. If you want to be in the madness that is Patong, this hotel is perfectly situated.

Very disapointed at this hotel, it starts already in the reception where you will be fed with all info about fees if you lose this or that, and they will hold 5000 TBH from you credit card until check out. They are for sure rasists against thai people, my wife is thai and we both felt it in their attitude. The people working in the reception are arrogant and speaks very bad english which is ironic when they only want western people to stay here. No thai family or friends can visit you at the hotel.I can't recommend it to people with small children, the kids pool is minimal and surrounded with sun chairs. When you exit the hotel you will be attacked with suit sellers and other rude people in one direction and suit sellers and massage girls in the other. For single travellers it might be interesting to know that they charge 3000 TBH for an extra guest/night. Will of course never stay at this hotel again, there are many better options.

Hotel is in a perfect location and easy to reach all ideal spots. Hotel facilities are good and the food is expensive at the hotel restaurant. Surprised to observe that internet/wifi services are premium priced at the hotel. One can get internet services @ cheaper rate just outside hotel!! Staff are very cooperative and able to communicate in english well. We will return to this hotel on our next visit.

liked the staff and facilities. it is surprisingly a haven in mad patong. but, our room was above one undergoing renovations, which started at 8 in the morning and went on all day, hotel staff seemed not to know much about it. this went on for 2 days. when we complained, they started work at 9. in the restaurant, when they say b/fast end sat 1030, it is exactly that.great having a shuttle bus to their karon beach property, which is a higher grade, better beach, bigger hotel. lovely stay with my wife and baby. too many hookers (massage) on the road to the main entrance, so its great there is a separate entrance (walking only) to the beach road end.

The hotel location is excellent. As I was travelling with my two daughters, we loved our room which was right outside the pool. The beach was only 2 minutes walk, right across the hotel. The room was quite clean and we ve got 2 double beds as we requested. It's only about 10 minutes walk to Bangla road, and there was a supermarket nearby. I would definitely stay again in this hotel.

Hotel rooms need a bit of an update. A few things were broken/falling apart like the shower head/cupboard doors. Tranfer back to airport (booked through hotel)didn't happen as organised however hotel quickly rectified and we made it in time. Besides that we loved the pool and the breakfasts. Great location.

A beautiful hotel with facilities that other hotel at the same price range doesn't have eg. gym, reading corner and spa. Room service is prompt and staff is courteous. Many plus points of it's location: - central of patong - directly opposite shop provide cheap and fast internet service (1Thbt per min). Some internet cafe which offer the same price is slow and cannot access to yahoo account. - next door is tour agency which you can get good taxi/air ticket/hotel rate and also cheap transport to airport - next door has a good foot massage (but don't try their pedicure) - the rear door will keep you away from the awaiting taxi driver and travel agents people

Amazingly good hotel for the money paid. Located write in the middle of Patong beach, close to all the night life, as well as many restaraunts and shops. Has it's own good restaraunt, very good spa (very expensive too), swimming pool, and the greatest staff of all the hotels I have been. Everyone smiling at you- security guard, receptionists, barmen and waiters. Gives you just an amaizing filling of welcomeness. I was upgraded to delux number right near the pool. Very satisfied. If I ever go to Phuket again I definitly going to this hotel. Also in general to all travelers, if you think Koh Samui is better than Phuket, you are wrong. I am sorry I moved to Samui instead of staying in Phuket for more, so much more things to do.

On arrival we were put into a groundfloor Delux room.Room was not to Delux standard - noisey (right next to pool filter room which churned all night long), aircon control not working, very hard mattress as well as being right next to pool itself. We had booked a room on the 1st floor with balconey as we didn't want to be beside the pool. Next morning we complained and were moved to a room more appropriate to our booking. Were also offered upgrade to sister property next day if we wanted but we decided not worth the effort of moving for 2 last nights. I get the impression this hotel overbooks and then trys to cope when people arrive by putting them into whatever room they have available. Breakfast buffet was adequate but certainly not up to standard of other places we have stayed in Patong. Staff were friendly and did their best. Pools are very small to cater for numbers of guests. Only about 12 chairs around each pool.

Preferring to charge us for the items missing (which some were found by management as not lost) instead of taking responsibility on themselves. The hotel itself is nice enough. We had a spacious room overlooking the pool, of which there are two. As it was near the rear of the hotel, it was very quiet. The hotel location is very good as it is right in the centre of Patong and only a 2 minute walk to the beach. We actually upgraded our room on arrival as the cheaper rooms are near the pool on the ground floor which is Ok for some but can get noisy, although access to the pools shuts at about 8pm anyway. The only negative I found is that Patong Horizon seems to be on travel agents books in Australia. My son booked a package with 7 nights in Phuket and was given the Horizon as his hotel. Hence we booked through siameservices to stay with him. However, the majority of the people staying there seemed to be middle aged/elderly Australians. It felt like we were on the Gold Coast and there wasn't a variety of people from different countries that we had encountered on the rest of our travels. If you don't mind taking to Aussies, the hotel is very good.

Very happy with standard of room for the price. Stayed in Family room, 2 King beds, room was huge, even had a kitchen , and large fridge for all those cold drinks one needs. Two pools ok. Probably the only thing that could be improved on , in comparison to other surrounding resorts. Breakfast fantastic. Food in restaurant great and priced fairly. Location fantastic.Close to beach , shopping and nightlife. Resort also very quite, seem to be mostly families and older couples staying here. Would definately stay here again.

Greeting was exceptional by all staff. The gentlemen on the gate when arriving was a delight.Opened my door with a warm greeting .They carried my luggage once i had booked in,i was taken to my room . Luggage was waiting for us.Great value for money.Just outside of hotel ther was a guy named Pun Good English speaking showed us around looked after us.Tours and bookings are great with a tour shop out front. One thing did happen whilst i was there a mouse in my room.They come to my help straight away.Happily moved us to another room.Our room was above the kitchen and dining area. Having seen some poor reviews on trip adviser I contacted the hotel 2 days prior to arival. On arival all was good.The room was clean and large enough The bathroom was looking a bit old and in need of some TLC the staff were great (until check out) Breakfast good, although got a bit repeditive I guess anything would after 13 nights.the pools although not large were big enough the resident artist fantastic. the gym had modern equipment and was well airconditioned.Now the bad stuff on checking out someone was sent to check our room usual practice, They reported I teaspoon missing we were there for 13 nights and only ever had the one,I was asked to pay for the missing spoon I told the staff I did not have the spoon and was not responasable for its loss at this point I was refused change owed from a bar bill untill I payed. I asked for the manager No show I then asked that the police be called I was laughed at I was told to fill out a missing item form I refused the receptionist started to fill out the form for me stateing I refused to pay, I then added becasue I didn't take it and gave it back to her....This was unnessesary and left me with a bad taste.I will write seeking an appology. I will not hold my breath.

Hi all, I totally recommend the horizon patong beach resort my father myself and my partner stayed at the resort for 7 nights and the service was fantasic all staff were very very helpful we where always treated like royalty.... My only qwarm was that our bath room plumping was on the nose and had to keep the door closed so we didn't get stunk out of our room. other then that it was awesome and i will most definetly stay at this resort again on my return to phuket. And guys if your going to phuket go see the Phuket fantasia it was fantastic its like a mini disney land AWESOME

Inside the hotel its very relaxing,feels like you are somewhere else, the staff remembered my birthday with a fruit basket and a card,the hotel is very quiet, when you step outside the hotel you realize you are in patong, we felt patong was too busy for us, people want to sell you everything, all the time, asking if you want a tuk tuk. This hotel was the second preference for me in patong as the patong merlin is possibly the best i ve ever stayed but books out quickly. the location of this hotel is brilliant with quality non whorish massage palours next door, good restraunts only 50 to 250m's away, internet cafe accross the street and you only need to cross the road to get on the main beach and a short walk from bangla but enough out of the way to be out of the busyness. I RECOMMEND FAMILY ROOM! the room is massive with a kitchen!

Tucked just out of reach of the beach road and all that comes with it. Very nice hotel with friendly accomodating staff. We stayed for 10 days in a family room which met all our expectations even though we were not poolside. The real benefit was the peace and quiet. Would recommend this hotel to families as it is not too big as to lose that personal contact with guests. Cannot complain at the price. Genuine value for money.

We arrive at Patong on 2 July, there was a problem with our room it has been flooded but the staff offered us an alternative room which was great. We received an free complementary meal in their restrant which was very good of them. Unfortunately we thought Patong was too busy and asked the Hotel if they could transfer us to their sister hotel in Karong which they did even though they didn't need to. The Hotel was excellent verey clean and friendly together with the staff nothing was too much trouble for them.

Horizon Patong Beach Resort & Spa
Accommodation and facilities:
We stayed at Horizon Patong 30/04/07 - 04/05/07. We found the staff to be extremely friendly and helpful. We had 2 rooms and a family room. I would suggest if you were staying any more than a few days to take a family room, as they are much larger than a standard room. We were always able to find a seat by the pool.It was only a short walk to the hustle and bustle of Patong, but quite once inside the resort.

Horizon Patong Beach Resort & Spa
Accommodation and facilities:
Fantastic location,attractive pool area with tropical surrounds that are well maintained and extremely good service and friendly staff. The breakfast provided was delicious. After viewing and comparing other properties we were extremely happy with our choice of accommodation and would highly reccommend the Horizon Beach to other holidaymakers. The resort is well situated right were the action is day and night, but once you step into the grounds of the resort you feel as if the vibrancy of Patong Beach is miles away. Our room was only the very basic but was clean and neat with a huge queen size bed and suited our needs. We hope to return soon with our children for another wonderful holiday. Thank you to everyone who made our stay so memorable.
