Great location, calm area with walking distance to Bangla and just 2min walk from the beach. The breakfast was great, especially the pancakes =) Roomservice was quick and tastefull, jet a bit expensive.

I al ways enjoy my stay at Thara Patong and this was no exception. My only complaint is that I requested a specific room, either 1051, 1052, 1053 or 1054, these being ground floor rooms near the pool. I required ground floor due to recent knee injuries. I also requested a non smoking room but this was not imperative. On arrival I was advised that I was not allocated the nominated rooms as they were smoking rooms and was instead allocated a room on the second floor. Perhaps SiameServices should take more care when receiving reservations and notifying their clients when special requests are not available.

The resort itself was clean and well kept, we stayed in a deluxe room in the palm wing. The room was clean, neat and tidy - the bathroom was very old and shabby and desperatley in need of an upgrade, it had alot of mould around joins and edges.

2 weeks of researching & checking many accommodation choices, I decided on Thara Patong for our 15night stay. I can honestly say, this was the best decision I made. We found this end of Patong Beach quite enough to enjoy our holiday, but within minutes walk to enjoy the nightlife and many dinner choices. We walked everywhere from the hotel within the Patong Beach Area, but many tut-tuts & taxis available just outside on the beach road!. The resort was clean & tidy, no major noise works going on around it, like many other hotels. Hubby has already decided that are going back for another holiday & we would definitively book here again!

I was a little hesitant with booking with a service I hadn't heard of, but after some research with good remarks, I gave SiameServices.com a go. I got a excellent rate with our accommodation and quick emails, but would of liked a little better communication in regards to some questions I did ask and I never did get answered. Hotel was good in general. Rooms were spacious. Pools were nice. Good for families with children. Good location in the center of Patong Beach. Breakfast was average. The first night when we checked in, the receptionist informed us that the hotel was fully booked, despite the fact we paid in advance!!! They had to transfer us to another cheaper hotel!! Next day, when we went to check again, they informed us that no room are available and we had to stay in that cheap hotel! After fighting with the hotel, they granted us 2 connecting rooms!! Internet was chargable. No iron was available. Despite the bad booking experience, the hotel is a good one to stay in for good location and for families.

Very good hotel, friendly helpful staff. Beautiful garden and good pool. Pool view Premier room is spacious. No problem with everyday cleaning and towels replacement. Breakfast - nothing extraordinary but fresh and various. Hotel's situated not far from Bangla Road (night clubs), only 10 min walk. Beach is in 5 min walk crossing the street. There are no own sunchairs on the beach. You have to pay 100 Bht per day. Will definitely stay in Thara Patong if back to Phuket.

The aircon did not work and we have to move to another room. We asked for upgrading but the staff did not seem or did not want to understand. I think it is a great place - conveniently located, clean & spacious. Breakfast spread was good and I like it that the hotel makes it a point not to repeat their spread. The front desk staff could be a little more helpful though. When I asked for some first aid stuff because my daughter had a jelly fish sting, the reception just asked me to get it from seven 11. I am sure the hotel would have some supply and some experience about jelly fish sting as it seems very common in the waters there.

Great location, walking distance to Bangla and Juncylon shopping. Pools were great for our little boy. Not too busy at all. Breakfast could have had a little more selection. Reception staff were excellent, they very kindly swapped our baby cot for a single bed as he was too big. Couldn't fault the place and would happily stay here again on our next visit to Phuket.

The resort is perfectly located and the staff are very friendly and hospitable. The only problem is when I asked for our shower (due to poor pressure and lack of running cold water) to be fixed they came in on the last day to do it. Well I didn't need them that day. I was there for seven days and even though I asked every day they smiled and assured me someone was going to fix it right away. This did not hinder my stay at the hotel, I had a fabulous time there. We stayed in a deluxe room on the third floor (non smoking) and it was beautiful even though there was no pressure or cold water in the shower.

I would say that everything is standard. We paid superior, 3 nites get one nite free..upgraded to deluxe room. but things are very much standard, meaning that the room is clean...service is fairly good, but not extraordinary. Also breakfast is standard. Internet is expensive....(I dont know if it applies to other hotels as well). In the map, it looks that the hotel seems pretty close to the beach.....In fact the hotel plot is very long...Entrance and lobby IS NOT AS REPRESENTED IN THE SIAMESERVICES MAP. The rear of the hotel, is a restaurant outlet, and only throught this outlet it is connected to the beach road. Dont expect to get a beach view, or sort of it..... All other things I would rate as fairly plain, but if it is just for staying ....sleeping ... some swimming...it may be good value. TWO BIG SWIMMING POOLS (We dont have the chance to use it) a good SPA is also in the hotel.

We stayed in deluxe room which was on the 3rd floor. Found it a bit tiring after a day of walking around. Rooms were good and room came with dvd player which was handy to check dvd s. Booked here because of the kids pool but both pools were great. Next time I would pick a ground floor room near pool. Superior rooms look out of the way..in between both pools. Breakfast plentiful, reception a bit out of way at back entrance but did not really need to go there. Staff friendly. Would stay again...location perfect. Dearer rooms overlooking the kids pool had access to a lift. If I had the money would book family rooms near this pool. Have 2 bedrooms separated by a lounge/sitting room with pool access.

Hi, this is my third time in this hotel, i like it so much, The pool is fantastic with many of outdoor Jacuzzi, the location is excellent, its close to patong beach, shopping area and the night life area. The staff are normal, not bad but in same time not very helpful as you expect from Thai people. Rooms are clean, nice decoration with normal size. The only bad point i have on Thara Patong is the rate,,, they increased the rooms rate for about 30% without any upgrade of quality.

GREAT. It is the fourth time I have stayed at the hotel and I have never had the need to complain about anything. The rooms are clean, staff are friendly and there is a good choice of breakfast food available. Both restuarants are also superb. The proximity of the hotel to the beach and nightlife is great. Everything within walking distance and never a need to hire transport. I will be returning.

Very good service. They allowed us to checked in early even without prior notice. The buffet breakfast was good: great variety and the local selections changed daily. Also near to many other shops and eating places. The staff are friendly and welcoming. However, rooms are a bit small if you want to include an extra bed. The balcony is a bonus for that late night drink or simply for tanning. Highly recommanded if you want value for money!

My wife and I just spent the first few weeks of June at the Thara Patong, and (overall) were thoroughly impressed. We booked into one of the cheapest rooms, anticipating that we wouldn't be in it much so we wouldn't need too swish a room just for the two of us. It was very comfy with a nice balcony overlooking the outdoor, open-air massage parlour, and had all the usual basics - bar-fridge, aircon (thank God - as it was so hot and humid!), TV with some english-speaking channels, nice shower etc. Of special note was the maid-service which was brilliant, with clean sheets and two lots of towels daily so we could take one set onto the beach and yet have a new set when we got back - excellent. Overall we were very happy with the room, say about 7/10, and the service in the hotel was as to be expected, although we were surprised at the ok standard of english for most of the staff (with the exception of reception.) It is very hard and confusing to sort anything out on the phone in Phuket! There were two lovely pools which were always very clean and warm, and each had a nice bar for refreshments and food, although the lack of breeze and the super-warm temperatures meant sunbathing was a sweaty affair! Breakfast was FANTASTIC, and the bars were good, although the restaurants seem to get expensive and not-as-tasty in the evening. We ate out most nights. Overall though, we were VERY happy with the hotel, and the close location to the beach and all the nightlife was absolutely SUPERB (you are right next to all the action, although the hotel is strangely serene and the gates are locked at night so it is safe.) Would we go back? Absolutely. What we would ask for next time though, is one of the rooms higher up - mainly the top (third) floor (high heels sound very loud from the room above!) Otherwise it was a great place and is an awesome location for exploring Patong Beach - which was pleasantly surprising - clean and full of action like jetskis, parascending, bananas, bars etc.

Rooms allotted to us Room No.s 1337,1338,1331,1332 A/C was not working properly but on complaint they kept on trying to fix the problem to no avail. The staff kept on trying to tell us that the A/C are working OK. But when we said we are going to check out we were offered room no 1114,1116,1117,1118 which were good. Rest everything was perfect but they need to tell their staff to take customer complaints seriously rather than to try convincing customer forcefully.

We had a wonderful time at the Thara Resort. We had a pool access room which meant the we could walk out the door and jump straight into the pool. Lovely. The only issue I had with this was the balcony/sitting area was small as we had a corner room. But that was the only issue. The bathrooms were a little tired and the drain in the shower was slow in removing waste water. The location of the resort allowed us easy access to the hustle and bustle of the main road in Patong but far enough away to not be disturbured by the noise. All shopping and restaurants were within easy walking distance. The breakfasts were very good with a great selection of foods on offer ranging from fruits and cereals to cooked Aussie full breakfasts but no vegimite :-(.

We had such a great time at the resort, all the facilities lived up to our expectations and the staff were great - both friendly and attentive without being intrusive. This is the 2nd time i ve stayed here. This time i stayed in the standard room as last time i had a room with pool access. Everything is great with this hotel but we had some minor problems with the toilet as we had to fill it up our self to flush it each time. Breakfast is great. Pool is awsome. But keep in mind that if you want to bring back a friend you picked up at a club or bar, they will charge you 1000thb. this was the only bad part as they dont tell or say anything about this in the hotel until you show up with you friend . Staff are friendly.

Fist time I choose the Superior Room but I feel the room is very old. This time I choose the Deluxe Room, this room so good and better than the Superior Room. It feel clean & comfortable. So I highly recommend choose the Deluxe Room.

Excellent location: near to the beach, food, drink and shopping. The room is comfortable. There is a construction work nearby that cause a bit of noise during day time. Anyway, it did not affect our holiday mood as we were out for Phi Phi Island or sightseeing during day times. The hotel offers nice swimming pool with Jacuzzi for relaxation after a long day tour. The breakfast buffet is tasty with good food selection. Most importantly, it is definitely value for money! It is highly recommended to everyone especially for first visit to Phuket. Rating: 80 out of 100.

We stayed for five nights in a deluxe room. It was extremely dark in the room provided to us I had to remove the shades of the lighting. The bathroom was even darker and not very clean. The floor was dirty and felt sticky. I had to wipe around the bed so my feet didn't turn black. The hallways on the bottom floor towards the breakfast dining room is very dark and not well lit. The blinds are so dirty and dusty. TV is very old and didn't have a lot of channels. The internet service was expensive and when we did buy time, the server wasn't working. Internet should be free. It was noisy during the day as a construction was ongoing beside the hotel right outside our room. This is not a 4-star hotel it's more like a 2-star hotel if that. This hotel needs a major renovation, the A/C is loud. Housekeeping is not very good. The only good thing was that it's close to the beach and all the amenities. The buffet breakfast was very good. I would not stay here again.

I have stayed in this hotel 6 nights 7 days I found it the most niceness Hotel in Phuket, all the people who work in this hotel were very nice with me and my family and I am looking forward to visit Phuket next time and stay in the same Hotel. They have very nice wide comfortable rooms and very beautiful summing poll. The only things I did not like were there was no water tap for the WC in their Toilets and because we are Moslems we need this kind of facilities available in all Hotels of the beautiful Kingdom of Thailand. Also the Wateriests who work in the morning breakfast Restaurant they do not have the welcome smile they were always have frowning Faces I do not no why. Nice and cosy hotel, tasty breakfast with variety of choices to choose from,i was sceptical although there are many good comments on this resort when i booked through siameservices.com, but i was delighted when we reached there early in the morning, we did not regret staying in this resort. We got a ground floor room with king size bed and with glass door open directly to the pool area, my 2 yr old was so elated when he saw the children pool and we end up spending most of our time there by the pool. Will definitely stay here again. Highly recommended for family with children.

When we first arrived at the hotel we were very happy. The room was clean and the pool is great especially for kids. The service was also really good and we were satisfied with the breakfast. The restaurant was a little over-priced but it was still good. On checking out we asked if we could extend. We were advised that they could only accomadate us for one night and at that it would cost double for the same room as they were not able to give us the same rate as we payed on SiameServices. This was understandable but we found that the staff were not very helpful. We managed to find a hotel in an even better location and also at a much cheaper rate. The pool was not as nice but we were more than happy with our new hotel. To sum things up The Thara Patong is a really nice hotel.

Thara Patong was our first stop in Thailand. Our rooms were OK but of a lower standard to what was shown on internet. Perhaps because there was renovation work underway on other wings, we were @ the very back of the building and there was a constant unpleasant odour outside the door. The rooms were also very dark, with poor lighting. A/c was OK, and rooms clean. The pools were lovely and most staff always smiling and willing to help. The outdoor massage area was a real treat. Breakfast was excellent. Check IN was good, but slow, particularly since it was after midnight.

Great and very big Resort with spa, pool bars and restaurants. We had the cheepest room which was not so fancy but ok and had everything we needed with balcony. Every balconies on the hotel are to the pool :) The Rates in high season might be too much for those rooms but now 30 euros per night was ok! Allthough we had a mouse in our room one night but we chanced the room :) The Italian restaurant has very tastefull pizza and pastas and Breakfast buffet was perfect! Two big pool areas are pleasant for adults and kids! Enough of sun beds also. The internet is also in the lobby for 100 thb/30 min. The hotel is on a very good place! Everything is close: Beach, restaurants, shopping places, night clubs etc. Highly recommended for low season!

We had a fantastic stay, it was my first trip to Thailand and I m now a convert! Thara Resort is a great place to stay, as good or better facilities/rooms/service as the Patong Merlin according to my partner. We needed to change rooms on arrival as my partner is in a wheelchair and the bathroom was not suitable, this was happliy facilitated by the friendly staff. We had a Deluxe room and found it was more than adequate for our needs with a balcony over the pool and a Kingsized bed (the airconditioner was great!). We originally booked this hotel because it advertised the fact that they catered for disabled people and the great price (pay 7 stay 10)and I would highly recommend it for anyone who uses a wheelchair for mobility, there is a lift to the upper floors in the new wing and ramps throughout the grounds making access to pools, bars etc really easy. I would also recommend for anyone wanting a relaxed, quality and value for money stay in the heart of Patong Beach (kids and adults alike will love the pool areas). The shopping starts just out the Beach Road entrance and its only a short walk to the famous Bangla Road but once inside the hotel its was quiet and you wouldn't know the busyness happening right on your doorstep. Breakfast was always of a good standard and Firday nights banquet at the Tatawan restaurant is great... All the seafood you can eat (giant oysters, prawns, bugs, crab.....)We did happy-hour every nigt...Drinks @ half price for 2 hours! I will most definately return for another great stay.

(But saw some other Indian Tourists facing problems- Hotel can arrange for some Indian Veg item on the menu). Hotel Managment was very helpful upgraded us to deluxe as lot of Honey bees entered our Bathroom of superior room with excellent and fast response. The open air spa hut in between two pools is a Great attraction and my wife enjoyed the Massage there. Would recommend this hotel to every one specially families with Kids. as the Swimming pool is really good.
